Angela is left to grapple with the consequences of David leaving her in the middle of nowhere. She is distraught and unable to get back on her feet because she didn't expect this to happen.

Then, she finds the only way she could to meet up with David, and both are overcome with affection for each other and realize being separated from each other was doing more harm than good.

After Angela convinces him that what happened last time wouldn’t happen again, David agrees to let Angela help with taking Alveris down. They both put their heads together to concoct a solid plan and set things in motion.

May and Toby agree to help them too! After Angela reignites an old case to sue David, it’s now David’s turn to get on Alveris’ good side again. Because there’s only one way to take him down, and that’s from the inside!

Will they be successful in their mission to rid David of Ricardo forever, or will Alveris have the last laugh? As Alveris decides to abandon David's facility, can David get him to trust again while saving the lives of both Angela, Toby, and May?

David pulls away from Angela because he's trying to protect her. Angela works a plan up on her own for taking down the bad guys. Will her plan work? Will they get a chance to be together?

This is a good story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story.

Angela finally spoke up. “Why? Just why?” "Because I needed to protect you," David replied. What if Angela helped David get rid of his tormentor forever? He would finally be free. What would he do? What would they do?

Angela was glad winter was over and things felt as if they were going back to normal. And then things changed. David just disappeared into thin air. What was David doing? Where was he? A person can't just disappear into thin air. All clues pointed towards one thing; David had left her.

David and Angela we're on their way to Stanford University to see Toby graduate. They were happy. And then things changed. David left her standing downtown by herself. He had to get away from her so he could protect her. He couldn't live with himself if he got her killed. I had people looking over her. Knowing she was safe was enough to keep me going.

Here we go again with David and Angela and Toby going to court suing David. Time is ticking and Angela has to convince prosecutors, sheriffs and even the media that her and Toby are suing her ex-boyfriend that they are not a couple anymore. Seems like a foolproof plan but is anything as easy as it seems planned in your head or on paper. What could go wrong. Angela and Toby have to get this private agency to protect them while they try to put David's nemesis, Richardo Alveris, in jail. So, the plan has been set in motion, now to find out if everything goes as planned. I have really enjoyed reading this series of Catherine Tramell, it is definitely a good read.

When I started book #1 of this Tempted series, not knowing what to expect exactly, I had a very good impression, and I felt that the story could keep me hooked to the pages.

Finished book #4 and I'm seriously doubting I have any interest in completing the series with book #5
I have a sense of running around in circles, the plot is somehow lost between useless bantering....
I didn't enjoy it at all, I just finished because I don't like leaving books unfinished.
Even the love story between David and Angela is less than vanilla......
ugh! Total disappointment

I don’t even know if Angela and David are meant to be a couple. First he is the defendant in a new legal case she has. Then she gets close in a relationship with him. She said it was just to get information from him/against him. She hears the true story about the crime he is being sued for and is on his side. Then he leaves her… Now David is trying to get on the inside of Alveris to take him down. This book 4 is a rollercoaster of emotions. . I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

As the story continues David had to put some distance between him and Angela I order to protect her. She doesn't understand how that will help. My only problem with this book is that it seems disjointed, the earlier books were a bit more fluid and the story had a coherence. It's a great story I think the plot is awesome but somehow the execution is a bit off on this one.

David leaves Angela and she is unable to contact him for days. David distanced himself to protect Angela from a criminal element. Angela comes up with a plan to get the proof they need for the Feds to take down Alveris. Very suspenseful, waiting for the next episode.
