I had high hopes going into this story, at least up until the 25% mark. From that point until about 75%, the story was quite repetitive. I didn't like Denny and his constant self pity for the life he put in motion. Story picks up again at around 75% and I was able to finally enjoy it again. I think it would have made a much better short story considering that 50% of the book was repetition.

I couldn't put this book down once I started, so it's a good thing it isn't very long. It is intensely dark and gruesome. Definitely not for the faint of heart; but if you like good, solid writing, you should enjoy this book.

A good read to ruin your night or day. Honestly it is just built to make you feel horrible and sad. It’s like a bundle of some of the worst possible parts of the human experience as a short book. Nothing groundbreaking or exceptional. Just painful

Before reading this little book, make sure you are in the right mood, what the right mood is, I am not quite sure. It's some fucked up shit though, Job never had it so easy fucked up. Sticking to my "never talk about the plot" in a review, what I will say is, Ed Lee doing dead pan splatterpunk, with the violence not just for shock value, but as a true necessary part of it to tell this story. This book will definitely leave you with a few thoughts after reading it.
Andy Rausch is one of the most versatile writers on the market, in every genre he writes, it is consistently edgy, thoughtful and very original.

The story was good in itself, a short thrilling ride, gritty with some well fleshed characters.

What let it down though was the editing. Too much exposition, too many long sentences and dense paragraphs slowed down what should have been a faster paced and more thrilling read.

Not a splendid book by any means, but it is the first one I read in English, so it was a very engaging experience.

A predictable book with a disappointing ending. It wasn't long, so nearing the last few chapters, I lost all hope. Denny was unlikeable. I couldn't even feel bad for him. I found this book on an iceberg so I was very excited but now I think it was a waste of time.

also, mister dino-fckn-saur made me cringe so hard I had to put the book down for a good solid minute.
