An old crush. A night of passion. And a bond they never expected.

As the last single guy amongst his co-workers, Gunner Hayes is beginning to wonder if he’ll ever find the woman that’s right for him. But when he sees his high school crush on the local news, Gunner is awakened to the possibility of his own happy ending.

Years after Sage Thompson left town, she’s back working as a meteorologist. Day in and day out, she puts on a happy face for the camera. Behind the lens, she’s anything but. The truth is, Sage longs for something new. Something she’s wondering if she’s even meant to have anymore.

So, when her high school crush shows up outside the news station looking better than ever, Sage feels revived. She’ll take one night with Gunner before she leaves on assignment across the country.

But when Sage returns home, she’s terrified to see Gunner again. Because even though she’s accustomed to dealing with unpredictable storms, Sage isn’t sure how Gunner will react when he learns that one night of passion has bonded them for a lifetime.

A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH ONE OF A VARIETY OF SOURCES. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I've read this entire series for a very long time now, and it makes me sad to see it go. I had hoped that this series would go out with a bang, but I was sadly disappointed in that. Don't get me wrong, it was still a very enjoyable read, just didn't meet my hopes for the end of the series.

I loved Gunner and Sage's re-connection! It reminded me of my own re-connection with my husband, had just the right amount of sweetness and believability. However, having Sage wind up pregnant so fast was a bit jarring. From there, it felt like the story had this insta-love quality that I hadn't come to expect from this author's writing. It was great to check in with all the other Cunningham couples as well. Unfortunately, the romantic suspense angles that started out so strong in the beginning books of the series, felt like it had been forgotten and tacked on to the ending of the story. It really didn't work for me.

The story was entertaining and an engaging read, even if it didn't measure up to what I'd wanted for the series ending. This is a book that I'd happily read again, if I was looking to be reminded of the first days of my relationship with my husband!

Gunner and Sage are the perfect couple to bring this series to a close. After a mutual crush in high school that they never acted on, Gunner and Sage reconnect in their hometown and find that being together feels just so RIGHT that there’s no need for doubts. Their relationship felt real and right, and I loved catching up with the rest of the couples from this series along the way. The only thing casting as shadow on their happy is a very disturbing trend of insulting Sage in her job by an angry keyboard warrior. And once everything comes to a head, it’s up to the Cunningham Security men to do what they do best: make everything right again. With Gunner’s family safe for good, the only thing left to do is enjoy the happiness that he and Sage have created together.

I’m sad to see this series end, but I’ve enjoyed the ride immensely and am sure that we’ll catch up with this group in some form or another again. Until then, I’ll just bask in the feel-good glow of Sage and Hunter’s love.

Gunner Hayes is the last single guy of Cunningham Security and after watching all of his friends fall in love he is ready to find love. When he sees the girl he had a crush on in high school on the local news station he knows he needs to jump on the opportunity to talk to her again before he loses his chance.

Sage Thompson has moved back to town after leaving in high school and is now a meteorologist for the local news. She is shocked when Gunner is outside when she gets off shift and she can’t help but remember how she felt about him in high school.

When one night of passion leads to more than either expected, will Gunner be ready for all the changes ahead?

I liked this book but it is definitely heavy once again on the sex once the two are in the same town. This relationship didn’t really seem to have any conflict and nothing the two couldn’t face together and things went super fast. I think that is one of my issues is that for me the books in the series just feel a tad unrealistic in how fast everything moves.

I really liked Gunner and he is once again one of the good guys who is instantly ready for a relationship for the girl who moved away in high school. There didn’t seem to be much of a getting to know you period as apparently neither changed from high school and things are pretty much perfect.

Sage also had a crush on Gunner and was more than willing to sleep with him multiple times before leaving on a 3 week work trip to cover some hurricanes. She loves her job and knows that even though her job is dangerous she knows how to keep herself safe from danger.

When Sage returns things move at a super fast pace to deal with everything that is coming. Sage embraces everything that is coming which creates some online discussions which are super negative towards her.

I was surprised with what happens as again it seemed to happen out of left field and was definitely extreme. I’m glad how everything turned out and everyone got their happy ending. 3.5 Stars - Rebecca

Insta-love connection!! Normally, insta-love books are not my cup of tea but dang A.K. Evans sure does know how to write a book that will make you fall with the characters in an instant.

Gunner and Sage knew each other way back in high school. Heck, they even had crushes on each other but not once did either one raise their voice to the other. Even without knowing if there was chemistry with them way back when the chemistry surely is smoking now.

I loved that Gunner was not afraid to go after what he wanted. And what he wanted was Sage. Sage, on the other hand, seemed a bit timid at first but then you see her open up her shell with Gunner. It is like these two are peas in a pod and so made for each other it makes your head spin with the amount of sugar. What I loved the most was, NO drama!! There was not one ounce of drama that caused a wave in their relationship. I loved that they both jumped in with clear heads and kept their clear heads.

Yes, it is fast-paced but it totally works for this couple. Slow is not a word in Gunner’s dictionary when it comes to Sage. He wants her and he will make it go as fast as he can. I cannot say one bad thing about this book at all! It was beyond perfect!!

I cannot wait to see what A.K. comes out with next!!

I have enjoyed all the previous audiobooks in this series, and this one did not disappoint.
Gunner Hayes is the last of the single members of Cunningham Security. He is ready to settle down but has yet to find THE ONE. That is , until he’s home watching the news and someone from his past is the weather person. In HS, he had a crush on Sage Thompson until she left suddenly when her father was transferred. Without thinking twice he gets in his car and waits for her to leave the studio in the middle of the night.
Imagine Sage’s surprise to find the boy, now man, she never forgot and whom she had a crushed on.
The one idyllic night leaves a surprise. Will Gunner be happy or will he turn his back to her? If they get together, will they get their HEA, or will someone threaten their new life?
This was a wonderful addition to the series and an almost conclusion to the series. Can’t wait to listen to the next and last audiobook coming soon.
The narrators Troy Duran and Maxine Mitchell did an outstanding job with the various voices.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I LOVE me some Cunningham Security, so I'm ALWAYS excited when Ms. Evan puts a new one out. Gunner Hayes is the last man standing single when it comes to the team, and he's really starting to feel it as the one night stands aren't worth it anymore. Imagine his surprise when fate stepped in, and he saw his high school crush, Sage, on the news as the weather person. He rushes to the station, and they hook up that night, which was hot as hell! She sneaks out before he gets up because she has to go on the road for hurricanes tearing up the east coast. He's tripping out, while she's getting exhausted during her trip, she has no idea that she took a little something from that night with her. Gunner is super excited when she gets home, while Sage is scared to tell him something big, but she had nothing to worry about because Gunner is the perfect man. Revived is a HOT, sweet, addictive, witty, humorous, with a big twist or two which got the f-bombs dropping, kind of story. So, hit those one click buttons to see how it all pans out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is such a bittersweet moment. Coming to the end of The Cunningham Security series is like saying goodbye to favourite friends. Gunner’s story was a great way to end but it gave me some serious heart palpitations at the end! Ms Evans never ceases to amaze with her writing. Each book is so individual that’s it’s a surprise read every time. I loved getting to know the man Gunner was and his hopes and dreams. Sage was an unexpected surprise too! I think everything about this book was a fabulous Surprise. Their instant connection and acceptance was so refreshing. These are my favourite tropes in a romance if I’m honest. Just reading along with them as they made their discoveries about each other was so captivating I couldn’t put the book down! Well of course there has to be suspense as well and boy did it come from an unexpected source! Great writing and a great book. Can’t wait to read your next series now.

A.K. Evans brings readers the final book in her Cunningham Security Series with Gunner and Sage’s story in Revived!

When he sees his highschool crush on the local news as the new meteorologist, Gunner finds himself taking a chance and waiting for her outside of the studio. Surprised at his appearance, Sage is thrilled to see Gunner again . . . after all he was her highschool crush before her family moved away all those years ago.

What follows is a whirlwind romance as they both have a bit of uncertainty about whether they could be in love so quickly. Revived also gives readers tons and tons of sweet and adorable moments! Sage is fun and loving and everything Gunner ever could have wanted. And, Gunnar is super sweet and romantic and just perfect for Sage.

Of course it would not be a Cunningham Security book if Sage didn't find herself in a bit of trouble, right?! Revived was a lovely ending to this fabulous series. 4 stars!

This is the 9th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Gunner and Sage’s story.
Gunner is the last single guy at Cunningham Security, after watching all of his friends and teammates, meet their significant other, and he wonders is he will ever meet his own soulmate. Sage is a meteorologist who is back in her hometown after being away for years, and she meets her high school crush Gunner outside the studio, never knowing that she was his. One hot night, and she leaves on assignment, but when she comes back she knows she needs to break the news that there night had consequences. How will Gunner react to the news?
This is a beautifully written story which is an easy to read, fast paced story, with undeniable chemistry, family, friendships, surprises, danger, suspense, intrigue, romance, and love, which leads to a sweet, entertaining, and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I loved the whole series but this was my least favorite out of all for one big reason. I just couldn’t get on board with how Gunner and Sage started. It just didn’t seem realistic. Perhaps if there was more to their history in HS other than just a crush, then maybe. There was no significant back story about the depth of a friendship they had. There was no “why” as to the reason for them to react the way they did. And then…2 weeks….she’s gonna know in 2 weeks…come on. I know it’s not impossible but it’s also highly unlikely. Their whole interaction in the beginning was just weird and uncomfortable. The story definitely got better but I had to force myself to push through. I had read all the others in the series so I was determined to see it through. Had that not been the case, I don’t know if I would have kept going but….I’m glad I did. Also, him continually calling her “stranger” was just as cringe as Jolie and Kendall calling each other “sissy”. 🤮

This story takes the whole whirlwind romance of most romance novels to the extreme. When these two, who both secretly harbored a crush for the other in high school, see other in person again they hit mach speed with their relationship. The old adage "when you know you know" seems to encompass them, but they don't completely dodge some angst as an unexpected surprise tilts their world. But they're meant to be so it is happy news and as they continue to build their strong bond everything seems to be falling into place perfectly... but of course they shouldn't get too comfortable because of course Cunningham Security will need to come to the rescue...and what an harrowing experience that event turns out to be. Wow, talk about making your heart stop for these characters. Shew...but it all works out in the end as the narrators bring the story from the pages to your ears.

Feeling very much like odd man out, Gunner Hayes leaves the party for home. After a shower, Gunner turns on the late news and almost swallows his tongue. Throwing on clothes, Gunner doesn’t have to wait long. Hopping out of his truck and rushing to the figure coming toward him, he quietly asks “Sage?” Meteorologist Sage Thompson was the one he definitely wanted back in high school but he never had the never to ask out. She fumbles “Gunner? Gunner Hayes?!?!”

Minutes after the impromptu reunion, over decaf coffee, Sage and Hunter each reveal how much they’d liked each other before her family had to move away and tried not to let it show. A love song from start to finish, with the exception of a small piece to give the boys a chance to flex making this a perfect beach or rainy day read

Revived by A.K. Evans
“Second chance, 4 stars”

Gunner and Sage knew each other when they were in high school. When Gunner finds out she’s moved back to town he can’t help but jump at the chance to see her. Their reunion is explosive. What do you do when you find out the girl you used to crush on used to crush on you? You go for it obviously. All of Gunner’s buddies have had massive obstacles when it comes to love, the question is will Gunner and Sage?
I enjoyed Revived. Gunner and Sage, they jumped for the chance at love. There was no second guessing or questioning how the other feels and it was refreshing. I will warn you it is a quick read but I’m still glad I did it. I cannot wait to see what Evans does next.

I can't believe this is the last book in this amazing series! A.K. Evans delivers another amazing story. It is full of love and a little bit of drama.

Gunner is the last single guy at Cunningham Security. He was slowly learning that love was something that he wanted. One night after spending time with all his friends and their spouses he comes home feeling lonely. He turns on the T.V. and cannot believe what he sees. Sage his longtime crush is reporting the weather back to him.

Sage and Gunner reunite for one night before Sage has to leave on assignment for work. When she returns everything changes for her and Gunner. They now have a lifetime bond between them. Gunner will do anything to keep Sage happy and safe. But danger is always lurking in weird places........

The final installment of the Cunningham Security series tugs at the heartstrings and wraps up the stories of these friends and colleagues (who have become family in many ways) in true A.K. Evans fashion. The journey toward Gunnar and Sage's HEA is two decades in the making - packed with heat, passion, and those "Awww" moments that keep us wanting more and more of Evans' brand of storytelling. As sad as I am to see this series end - just as I was with the original quartet that started it all - I am thrilled to dive into the third series that yet again connects the Blackman Boards crew from "Everything" and the families we've gotten to know so well in this one. Such a wonderful way to wrap this one up! Now, bring on Book 1 of Hearts and Horsepower!!!

I'm so sad the series has come to an end, but it was definitely an epic one.

Gunner couldn't be more perfect. Definitely book boyfriend material! He had me swooning right from the start. And Sage is the perfect woman for him. Their instant connection was so refreshing, even though I've never been a fan of the trope. But it's Gunner and Sage, they made it seem so easy and it flows really well into their relationship that I didn't mind it at all.

I didn’t want the story to end. This was truly an amazing ending to the series.

P.S. The bonus epilogue is just so beautiful, so perfect. I can't get over how perfect they are

Gunner Hayes didn't waste any time when he ran into Sage Thompson. He had a crush on her in high school, but she moved away. So when he sees her in town after all these years, he shoots his shot. After they spent one night together, Sage is gone on assignment as a meteorologist. It only took one night for him to fall for her. Things went a little fast for me with these two, but I guess if you know you know. A little angst would have been the icing on the cake. LOL Troy Duran and Maxine Mitchell voiced these characters so well. Their talent made this insta-love HEA a great listen!

I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Sage and Gunner crushed on each other in high school but before their crush could become anything more life took them in different directions.
Now twenty years later and Sage is back, this time Gunner is determined she won't slip through his fingers.

I really enjoyed this swoon-worthy romance from A.K Evan's. I haven't read the other books in the Cunningham Security Series but the glimpse of the other couples in this book has left me very intrigued and I will be reading those in the future.

What a bittersweet moment, The Cunningham Security Series has come to an end in such a wonderful book. While I am sad to see the team go I absolutely loved Revived. Revived brings us the story of Gunner and Sage, a second chance romance and a surprise pregnancy. Give me ALL the tropes I love! And as always with this series there is the extra drama added at the end to get those heart rates soaring, so wonderfully written.

I look forward to doing a re-read of the whole series now that it is complete!

High school crushes and takes them 20 years to see each other again and how he drove right to the news station to see her and her running into his arms. And their love was there right away. 20 years, they had to make up for!!! And why do people have to be cruel about unwed mothers crazy people. I'm so glad Gunner didn't lose Sage. I may have cried at that part. And 2 beautiful children loving what snowboarding sooo cool!!!

This was a beautiful second chance story. Gunner and Sage were so cute and loving. The drama at the end of the story was heartbreaking. But it made their story even more beautiful. Great book

What a way to wrap up this series. I devoured this book in one reading. I loved the storyline and chemistry between our main couple. The appearances by the rest of the team gave us the inside look at how their lives had been going. Sad for this to end but it was a great ride to take.

I loved the entire Cunningham security series. However I was disappointed in the fact that this story felt rushed. I feel like she didn’t take the time to let you get to know the characters before everything happened.

Everything happened quickly and predictably.

Enjoyed most of the series though!
