Of all the Draax books so far, Inara was the only one who seemed to want to go back to Earth throughout most of the book. The others, even if reluctant to stay at first, were swayed pretty quickly to remain on Draax. Inara, however, did have her little sister to take care of, who may have changed her thinking a bit.
I did feel a bit bad for one of the Draax, as Inara had a small crush on one, and a huge crush on another. They both liked her, though which resulted in some threesomes and her growing of affection for both. The one she had a huge crush on, Melu was a worker on the Draax ships, and was said to be grumpy by most everyone at the palace. Krey, who we met in previous books, was the one I was voting for, but it was known that Inara would not choose him pretty early on if she stayed.
It was interesting that though the Draax tried to get used to things on Earth to entice females to stay, there are still many things that they are in the dark about. One, mentioned throughout this book is Inara's freckles, that Melu just simply calls “little, brown dots”, which they are. It just sounds weird to hear them described this way, as sometimes I forget they are on an alien planet. We even get to see a bit of a prodigy in Inara's younger sister, Wendy, an amazing singer.
I was glad for the ending, it just wasn't the way I expected it to go. Elizabeth Kelly wrote another great book, and an awesome addition to the Draax series. Though you don't need to read the rest of the series to understand and follow this book, it is highly recommended; as many characters are reappearing.
I liked this book, and adds a lot to the Draax world, but I didn't LOVE it as I did the others. It is more like 4 1/2 stars, but I can't give half stars. I anxiously await the next book as the teaser was seriously enticing. I was given a free ARC for my honest review.

Okay so first and foremost let me just say that I LOVE THE STEAMY SCENES!! Since that’s out of the way let me tell you guys that Draax series is my favorite series of all the series that I’ve read until now and I can’t wait for the next book ‘Survive’ already!
I love that we get to see little glimpses of all the other couples😭 I mean I can’t wait to see Melu with a little Melu or Inara! I love how Melu would do almost anything to be with her! And I love that Inara really understood Melu as I’m an introvert myself🤧

June 28, 2022Surrender is book 4 in the Draax Series and if you've never read alien romance books this series is a great start. I have loved all the books so far and this one did not disappoint especially with the steamy MFM scenes. But this book is more than that because Melu and Inara are beautiful and complex characters that are very relatable. You root for them from the very beginning and hope that even with the short time they have they can make things worthwhile for them. As always Ms. Kelly has done some build up to the next book in the series and I can't wait to read what happens next in planet Draax.

Not feeling this installment. The first 3 books were captivating. The chemistry was better in the 1st three. This one not so much. The peachy fiery redhead vs the brooding introvert with low self esteem is over played. Some books series needs to end before dragging out another 5 "eh" level of writing. The Draxx series might just be there. I expected way more character and story building for having to wait soooo long between each installment. Now I have to wait til 2023 just to see if the quality of writing is up to par with the books that made me love this author's work. Time will tell.

Another wonderful book in the series!! I have greatly enjoyed the previous books in the series, and this was not exception. I loved learning more about Melu and seeing his relationship with Inara blossom. I did really enjoy the side story with her sister, Wendy. I don't want to spoil any details, but this is a definite must for reading! Great job Ms. Kelly!!!

Sometimes with alien romances, the alien love interest has no real character beyond their alien-ness. This was absolutely not the case in Surrender. Melu and Inara were both complex characters with realistic hang-up and strengths. And their attraction- absolute fireworks! I read this book in one sitting, finishing the story was as irresistible as the characters found one another. Another element of this book that I liked is that I felt as though the structure of the Earth and Draxx societies were a little more fleshed out. I can't wait to see where the author goes next in this universe!

Inana and Melu's journey to each other was a slow burn. I was so happy to finally get their story. We had been teased about them for a bit and I just knew it would be special.
Kray's involvement in the storyline was hot as you know what because what's better than one Draxx? Two.
A little lightness is thrown in with the appearance of Inana's sister. She steals almost every scene she's in. Overall, I would recommend this book if you're looking for a sweet love story with some smoking hawwwwt love scenes.

I have waited, albeit impatiently for the next release in the Draax series and let me tell you it was so worth the wait. Elizabeth Kelly absolutely knocked this one out of the park. Inara captured me from the beginning with her love and devotion for her sister. But you always have to watch out for the quiet ones, because who knew that the grumpy Melu could ignite such a fierce passion with Inara. Wow!! So good!

Had this story led to Melu, Inara and Krey forming a triad I would have enjoyed it immensely. Book 2 of this series worked perfectly. Mainly it had to do with the fact that the sharing happened between the two MMC's who took the FMC as THEIR mate. To now know Krey will find his own mate in the next book just feels odd to me. After reading their intimate scenes together and knowing they don't stay together, makes me wonder how Krey's future "mate" will measure up.

I don't read a lot of alien romances, but I really enjoyed this. The concept was good, the characters entertaining and the writing style easy to read. The Draax are an interesting bunch, tall, strapping and completely adorable. A full of good feels book with some giggle inducing moments.

The latest book in the Draax series was fantastic. I love this series,although I’m not into alien books generally I couldn’t put this series down. I was really excited for Inara’s story and Elizabeth Kelly never disappoints. The story is brilliantly written with sympathetic well rounded characters that you want to see happy. Can’t wait for the next one!

Surrender is the fourth book in The Draax Series by Elizabeth Kelly. Elizabeth Kelly does it again, this is a wonderful book with amazing characters. The attraction between Melu and Inara is swoon worthy. I loved this book!

I looooove this series. It’s fun. It’s kinky. It’s hilarious. This book gets a little more in depth with the politics of the planet and I’m intrigued to see what happens.
I could read a million more of this series and give it five stars everytime.

Oh my I love this series and can't wait for the next. I love the connection between Inara and Melu. I knew Melu's feels when he decided to go get Wendy when the ship she was on broke down. I loved to storyline and the secondary characters and can't wait for Kery's book.

The Draxx is one of my favorite alien romance series and the books just keep getting better and better. Right from the get go the excitement builds. I really loved Madison and felt the turmoil she suffered. I highly recommend this series

I absolutely love this author. I am not usually a sci-fi alien type of book reader but this series makes me want my very own Draax. I mean what is not to love about a tall green man with a tail that is completely devoted to you. I loved the chemistry between Inara and Melu. I love the secondary characters like Krey, Molly, Ellis, Wendy, and Paisley. I can’t wait for Krey to have his own book. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
