USA Today bestselling author Tamie Dearen has published more than twenty books, including The Best Girls Series and the Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance Series. Tamie believes real life is already full of enough heartache, so she gives her book-characters happily-ever-afters, no matter how difficult their paths.
Tamie Dearen lives in Texas with her incredibly romantic husband and two dogs. She hates dusting and exercising and loves anything musical or artistic. When she's not writing books, you might find her playing with her grandkids or drilling on someone's tooth.
It was a good second chance love story with likable characters, lovable secondary characters and engaging plot. Safety: Before reading I was very much concerned about hero’s relationship about heroine’s twin sister. But Alas.. he never even kissed her during their 1 year relationship. Epilogue was the cutest! Recommended.
I’m confused… this book was religious and the other three of the series I read weren’t???? The storyline was lacking on this one. It was just so ridiculous.
3.4 stars. You know, I didn’t remember I’ve read this author before!? She’s so almost good. It wouldn’t take much to tweak the book into something I’d be proud to read. But alas, it was not my proudest read.
These characters and situations are so ridiculous.
The heroine (Rylie) is an identical twin. Nine years ago, the heroine was in love with the hero (Jarrett) when he met her twin sister (Carlie) and ended up dating her for about a year. They broke up when Carlie left him to go pursue a singing career.
Nine years later, they meet again. Rylie is still single and Carlie is single again (divorced). Jarrett needs a wife to help him adopt a kid. Carlie offers because she feels guilty for how things went down and feels like she owes him and Jarrett takes her up on it because he's somewhat desperate to make the adoption work.
And then the most ridiculous drama happens.
Neither party entering into this contemplated marriage of convenience is in love with each other.
But, when Carlie can't marry Jarrett in time to address the adoption and Rylie steps in, Jarrett decides to DATE CARLIE WHILE HE'S MARRIED TO RYLIE.
This is all sorts of weird. I really don't understand why the author would have made this choice. And Rylie goes along with it. Seriously, what!? This is after she has advised them to not do a marriage of convenience only to divorce. She is like "okay... I guess I'll marry you and divorce right away so you can have my sister"... EVEN THO THEY AREN'T INTERESTED IN EACH OTHER REALLY.
Seriously! It was the weirdest weirdest choice. It didn't fit any of the characters and could have been left out. And, AFTER GOING ON A DATE with the woman who is NOT his wife, he says (in response to being told he shouldn't date outside of his marriage) "I would never do that". Uh. You just did that... like yesterday. Add to the fact that this book is a "Christian" romance, that kind of thing MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!
Okay, that was the start. And then throughout the book, we have the most unhealthy communication (or noncommunication) where both parties are interested in having a real marriage but both are too chicken to say so.
It's not like the author doesn't have a good idea of health... she actually includes some therapy in this book and the therapist gives some great advice. So, I know the author had it in her to have some better, more sensical interactions between the two main characters... she just didn't.
This book kept me engaged. But also completely puzzled why the author made choices like she did. I think it's better if I avoid this author.
Other weird choices: The heroine is the "nice" one while her sister is the "popular" one. She keeps things clean, likes kids, is responsible, is smart, doesn't ever say what she wants, and eats junk food. She won't eat veggies or anything vaguely healthy. It's odd. When their kid gets an infection, she actually says: "...if we just hadn't had those raw vegetables in the house, this might not have happened."
Like I said... weird choices.

A sweet conclusion to the “Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance” series, this book takes a friendship and vaults it to true love, giving ‘the one who got away’ a whole new meaning!
This was a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series! I absolutely fell in love with Rylie. She was genuine, funny and kind and perfect for Jarrett. I really like Jarrett too! Although I was a bit mad at him for being so slow in realising his feelings, at the end I was cheering for both of them. I loved Gabe as well! He was such a cutie and his interactions with Jarrett and Rylie were so sweet. I loved the plot as well. In fact, I've loved the main plot of the whole series (which is accidentally married/ marriage of convenience) and I loved this one too. I loved seeing all the families from the previous three books come together in the epilogue; that just made my heart melt! Overall, I loved this novel and I would highly recommend it for all lovers of sweet, clean romance!
I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not affected my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.
In my opinion this one is the best of the series. The story flowed at a good pace and didn’t feel contrived or manipulated into the ending but felt natural. It was really entertaining. Carlie was very relatable and from the opening scene with the garbage mishap I was hooked. I’m on vacation so I was able to read it in one setting. It would have been very hard to put down otherwise. I loved Carlie’s sarcasm and the banter that they had. I’m going to have to adopt the code phrase “take me dancing” for staying in watching a movie too! They made a great couple! Rating: PG, some light innuendo but clean love story.
I knew I would love this book and I did. I was sucked in right from the beginning and had the hardest time putting it down when life called. This book has all the feels. I was laughing, crying, screaming, cheering and sighing. Jarrett is such a great guy and Rylie is an incredibly selfless woman. Together they are quite the pair. This was a beautiful story and I loved Jarrett's proclamation. It was perfect. I'm sad to see this series end as I have loved it, but Mrs. Dearen wrapped it up perfectly in the epilogue.
I honestly don’t remember when I have enjoyed a book more….this entire series has me literally hooked! The heroes of these books are all physically disabled yet very masculine, tender, kind and show great love for their heroines. This one was about Jarrett and Rylie. Such a beautiful couple who adopt a 3 Year old orphan with leukemia. Their love for this child and each other was so sweet and inspirational. These books are very close to my heart ♥️. I highly recommend !
Rylie's in love with Jarrett Alvarez. He's in love with her twin sister. Then she becomes the substitute bride, so he could adopt Gabe and get him the medical treatment the boy needs.
Reminds me of the story between the biblical, Rachel and Leah. Sisters who marry Jacob.
The characters are interesting, feisty, and realistic. Add some sarcasm and it's great. They have to work out their feelings to bring about a relationship. The things I like in this book are kids, heart-warming plot, and good writing. (We've adopted nine children so this part I really identified with.)
A very satisfying conclusion to this series. Great read.
This was such a fitting ending to the wonderful Limitless series by Tamie Dearen! Jarrett was crushed by the rejection of what he thought was his one true love and thought he would never marry. Then he finds out his next door neighbor is her twin sister, Rylie, who has loved him for years since she first met him--before her twin swooped in and stole him away. When Jarrett needs to marry quickly in order to be able to adopt a child with leukemia and bring him to the USA for treatment, Rylie steps in to help but she feels badly for him because he married the wrong twin. Or did he? It's complicated but in the end everyone gets their HEA. And the epilogue featuring all of the Phantom Enterprises guys with their families ties up the series in such a heartwarming way! You will love it! If you haven't read the other books in this series you will want to! Highly recommend! I received an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
The Billionaire's Alternate Marriage grabbed my attention immediately and never let go! Unrealistically, I never wanted to see this series end. This story is about two computer nerds who were best friends but have been out of touch for nine years. This story has it all - cute kids, well written characters and a heart warming plot. I really wanted Rylie and Jarrettt to get their acts together and actually communicate with each other rather than assuming they know what the other is feeling. It has a great epilogue, also. I highly recommend this book.
I have enjoyed following the lives of the four billionaires in The Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance Series. The storyline in The Billionaire's Alternate Marriage has a lot going for it. There’s an international adoption to save the life of a little boy with leukaemia. Jarrett lost a leg due to cancer and walks with a prosthesis. Rylie and Carlie are identical twins and their differences add an interesting aspect to the drama.
The characters are difficult to like though, because Carlie is self-centred throughout the story and Jarrett, the billionaire, is clueless most of the time. Rylie does everything to keep the peace and to support those she loves while her own heart gets overlooked and even stepped on. Most of the events are told through Rylie’s POV, and if you’re empathetic like me, you’ll find it stressful. The miscommunication gets drawn out to the point of being ridiculous. The epilogue is a sweet conclusion to the entire series, but it also feels like a bunch of names are crammed into a few pages.
***Spoilers*** Jarrett doesn’t come through for Rylie until the very end and then they never have that romantic date that she so desperately wants. For example, he takes Carlie out on a formal date, but the one time he takes Rylie, he invites Carlie along. The other meal they go out to together is at a dive, so I don’t think that counts.
I received an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
They seem like a great group of guys. Never a dull moment with them.
Jarrett was the last hold out to get married. He had his heart crushed and refused to talk about it. Rylie also had her heart crushed, but for a different reason.
The mental gymnastics they went through was... impressive. Rylie had this annoying habit of telling Jarrett what he was and wasn't feeling. And for whom. She refused to believe his words and actions. Re-Fused! To the point of aggravation. It was painful.
Jarrett, for his part, figured out pretty quickly that he wasn't in love with Carlie. Especially when he got Gabe and saw how uninterested she was in him. (And I'm not sure if this was on purpose or not, but I thought Gabe was from Puerto Rico, but Carlie kept saying Nicaragua. So she was either THAT uninterested and couldn't keep facts straight and no one corrected her, or the author switched it up and didn't catch the slip. It could go either way.) Jarrett would get on the right track with his feelings and then he would talk to Rylie and she would completely misconstrue what he said.
Thank goodness for Juanita and Matthew.
I did especially love the ending with all the phantoms, their wives and their babies present. Everything took place over 9ish years, and this was just a great way to wrap it up.
I waited anxiously for the next installment of the “Limitless” series by Tamie Dearen and it did not disappoint. I was invested in the story from the very beginning, and what a beginning it was. I could feel Rylie’s embarrassment as she meets the man she’s secretly in love with after nine years, in a trash heap. I cringed right along with her at the same time I wanted to laugh out loud. The characters were well written with depth, and personality. Each one I could sympathize with, even those I loved to hate, or hated to love. Jarrett was the perfect book boyfriend, except a bit clueless when it came to women. He had to deal with identical twins who had personalities from opposite poles, plus a petite Hispanic grandma who kept trying to play matchmaker. He could barely keep his head above water. I loved his desire to adopt a little boy with Leukemia, and his tender concern for him, which led to a fake marriage, or was it? “The Billionaire’s Alternate Marriage” had me running a whole gamut of emotions as I stepped into the story. I couldn’t put it down. I received an ARC Courtesy of the author and this is my honest review. I recommend this book.
I loved this story! Both main characters are very likable and well-developed. Be prepared to experience a wide range of emotions as you read because this author knows how to make her readers get caught up in the story. I enjoyed so many things about this book: the matchmaking Hispanic grandmother that worked at a grocery store that Jarrett frequented; the fact that the billionaire made friends with the grocery clerk; Jarrett's deep love for and desire to adopt the young boy with cancer; Jarrett's and Rylie's faith; and of course, the HEA and the epilogue. I don't want to give any spoilers, so I'll stop there, but there's so much more to love about this story. I highly recommend that you get a copy. This can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is great, so don't miss out. I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review to share my opinion of this excellent billionaire romance.
Like all the billionaires in this series, Jarrett is an intriguing character. He has a prosthetic leg but lives life to the fullest. He's generous with his wealth and compassionate. However, he's got to be the densest man alive regarding his treatment of Rylie. I wanted to shake him until his teeth rattled! Rylie, however, brought me to tears; she values herself so little in comparison to others and Jarret's careless words validate her viewpoint. Just as she begins to hope for more, she realizes her temporary value is in being mistaken for her twin. Jarrett has a battle on two fronts: overcoming Rylie's lack of self-worth and overcoming his faulty perception of past events. The conclusion was happy but getting there was nerve wracking! I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
This last addition to the Limitless Series was truly wonderful. Jarrett a cancer survivor would move heaven and earth to adopt a young boy suffering with cancer to give him the very best chance. Rylie has loved Jarrett kn the shadows for years and years and helps him to adopt his new son. This story has so much poignant love and longing and a beautiful HEA epilogue. Do yourself a favour and enjoy this entire series. Tamie Dearan has done an amazing job with all of the characters. I received an ARC copy of this amazing book in return for my honest opinion of this story, and I can honestly say I loved it!!
4.5 of 5 I’ve been waiting for Jarrett’s story and Tamie Dearen didn’t fail me. Riley never thought she would ever see the him again, and to find out he’s her neighbor! What bad luck. She has only loved him, Jarrett, for nine years while he has loved her twin sister Carlie for nine years. He needs a wife so he can adopt a son. He and Carlie make arrangement for a temporary marriage and things get switched up. Will it end up that Riley and Jarrett’s friendship actually evolve to more? I highly recommend this as series or as stand alone. I received a free advanced copy of this book, but this review is my honest opinion.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Tamie Dearen, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. I loved this heartwarming love story about Jarrett and Rylie. Jarrett is a billionaire who is also a cancer survivor. Rylie and her twin sister, Carlie, have been friends with Jarrett for a decade. This is a great Christian romance with laughter and tears and joy. I highly recommend this great book that is hard to put down.
This is the final book of the Limitless Billionaire’s series. Though I got frustrated at the lack of communication among the characters, I actually really liked the main characters and their interaction. Rylie and Jarret had a fun relationship.
The epilogue was an especially nice way to wrap up the series. A very enjoyable read and series.
This has been a fun series to read. Identical twin sisters, one hot rich guy, what could go wrong? Tamie Dearen is a tease. I have been reading this book as she has teased us slowly with it, chapter by chapter. I’m glad to finally be able to get it all together and with the ending. I enjoyed this book and can’t help but hope there is a way to revisit this wonderful group of friends.
I absolutely loved this story! In fact, each book within the series is outstanding! Very unusual to read a story in which one of main characters lives his life successfully despite the challenges of disabilities. Wonderful!
This book has it all! I loved the chemistry between the two main characters and having a twin in the mix made for some major drama. The story is so good I could easily fall in love! I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series of you haven't already because there is a major reunion toward the end along with a fun surprise.
This is a outstanding and refreshing romance with charming and sweet characters that will steal your heart as you root for their happily ever after moment.
I’ve read the whole series and I must say they one of the most delightful books I’ve read in a long time...great characters and the story lines kept me laughing and then crying..loved every minute of them all.. probably will think of these guys and their women now and then for quite a while.
I liked the humorous places in this book. I liked that this book gave place to many disabled people & I liked the outreach programs to help others. I liked the love story between Jarrett & Rylie. I like when the blinders were removed from Jarrett's eyes.
This is a 5 star plus! Being an introvert, I could relate to Rylie and Jarrett. At first, I thought Jarrett was a bit dense until I put myself in his place. My heart went out to Rylie. This is a book you won't be disappointed in if you read it. It's clean and a great HEA!
Jarrett and Rylie have great chemistry. They did frustrate me though. One is blind and the other hides their feelings 🤦 Loved how they got their HEA. I enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end. The author does a lovely job of tying everything together in this book. Highly recommend!
Loved reading Rylie’s and Jarrett’s story. So glad they were able to work their lives out together. Nice to see Gabe in remission as well as the other two kids they had together. The group of CEO’s and their families were a great combination of their lives. Truly a GREAT read-Thank You.
