Why I Am a Reagan Conservative by Michael K. Deaver This book was a great book. I really enjoyed it. It taught me about Ronald Regan and his polices.
I learned how important it is for people to be reliant on themselves and not the government. This book strengthened my views about the importance of every human life. I learned how important true freedom is. “Freedom” isn’t true freedom if the government decides what operations and medicines people get.
Ronald Regan represented the Founding Father's views and the US citizen’s views. He was a great voice for the people of the United States. I learned how Ronald Regan made many Americans more conservative through his fair polices and tax cuts. One of the key points was more government leads to more problems.

This is a great book and easy read. Several "great Americans" responded to the question the title of the book asks. It's nice to know that there are still a bunch of people out there that have the same values that I have and are conservatives. I no longer identify myself as a Republican but as a (Reagan) Conservative. It's also interesting that there can be found statements by certain brethren over the past half century which indicate that it will be the members of the church that save the Constitution from being overthrown.
This day was our 37th anniversary and we spent it in Nauvoo. If you haven't been to the Nauvoo temple you are in for a real treat.
