LONDON ELLIOTT is a best-selling author from Houston, Texas. She’s gearing up to write her tenth romantic suspense book and for the first time, she’s planning to travel to the location in which her book is set. From the dreamy small town of Aspen Heights, nestled within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, London will begin to write her newest story.
SAM HUNTER was born and raised in Aspen Heights but didn’t stay in his hometown after he was grown. He wanted a whole lot more from life, so he joined the Marines. After two tours in Afghanistan and a divorce that he saw coming, he’s returned to his roots—living and working in Aspen Heights while trying to heal his shattered heart and his P.T.S.D.
On a sunny day in the middle of summer, Sam and London meet by chance and both of their lives are turned upside down in an instant. The two begin a passionate journey together and within days, their world somehow begins rising up to meet the fictional world that London is in the process of writing. Her imaginary world that’s full of superstitions and their effect on the characters in her book.
Those same superstitions—the good ones and the bad ones—begin showing up in real life. Fact and fiction become strangely intertwined and difficult for Sam and London to tell apart.
GINA MAGEE is a spicy romance author who weaves the supernatural into the storyline of the books she writes. She’s currently working on her next book and is enjoying making it just as magical as the others. The East Texas Piney Woods is where Gina resides with her husband and two very spoiled Pembroke Welsh Corgis—Gypsy Willow and Sir Chesney.
I received an ARC of this book and I felt it was a wonderful take on love at first sight with some added mysticism. I was invested in the characters' steamy, whirlwind romance from page 1 and quickly found myself unable to put it down! Multiple points of view allow you to get to know Sam and London individually and really adds to the emotional complexity of their relationship. A slow build to a heart wrenching ending had me experiencing every emotion all at once. The overall themes of love, fate, and superstition made for an entrancing and unique story that I look forward to reading again!
This is one of my favorites by Gina. Every emotion that I felt my heart being ripped from chest, the lust that drives desire, and the love that surpasses all. Fall Into Me is a must read
I really wanted to enjoy this book because I liked her other one but this one I DNF, even though I tried. I eventually gave up at 47% because it just became so repetitive that I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t know if the author was stretching for more word or what but if that’s the case I would’ve preferred this be a shorter novella.
