"One of the swoon-worthiest male leads to date! Liam is to drool for..." - Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jillian Nichols would rather catch a cold than catch feelings. Dancing, a drink, a little between the covers action is all she needs. But when her latest fling sticks around to make breakfast, she discovers some guys want more than a one night stand. Scottish hottie, Liam, wants her. Wanting him back is against all Jillian's rules, but life keeps throwing the two of them together. Liam sees it as an opportunity. Jillian sees it as a disaster waiting to happen. Because when Liam finds out the truth about her, he'll wish he'd snuck out the morning after. Or maybe Jillian's wrong about her rules, men, and love altogether...
Geneva Lee is the New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author of over thirty novels. Her bestselling Royals Saga has sold nearly four million copies worldwide. She's shamelessly addicted to recovering alpha males, headstrong heroines, and drop-your-jaw plot twists. People Magazine calls Geneva's books "convincing with fluid writing that's full of drama." When she isn't writing or reading, you might find her on another adventure with her real-life hero and their three kids.
This book is a rewrite of an earlier book written by the author under a different name as she writes under that name for YA. I have liked some of this author's work but I don't find she writes YA as a young person. Some of the behaviour of the characters is childish and reminds me it is YA but other things about their conversation or outlook is older than their years. The heroine seems to be a bed hopper but that said there are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine. It is said she doesn't do relationships and there is a good reason for her being reluctant. Liam is a dream, he is totally besotted with the heroine and is beyond patient. Pushing away from heroine. Small other woman and man drama, nothing significant. The Hero buys another girl a drink. The heroine dances with another man but it's very brief. There are secondary characters that have their own stories in the next books in the series.
Spoiler
The Hero and heroine in this book have a HFN in this book as he is returning to Scotland after his studies end.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Jillian has no intention of catching feelings, she prefers a male catch and release system with no seconds, however, when Liam enters her life with his waffle-making she will struggle to stay away.
Review: ⭐️ 3/5
The plot of this book was easy and follows a fairly standard rom-com template. I really liked the chronic illness/Parkinson’s representation and how that impacts your relationships with family, friends and partners, I love any book with disability representation and overcoming struggles associated with finding love and being chronically ill. My main issues with this book were the editorial mistakes including numerous typos and character confusion (at one point it appears Jess and Cassie switch boyfriends for about half a page and then it reverts back). Correcting those errors would elevate the book further because the plot was enjoyable.

College / Health Issues / Romance ⭐⭐.5 / 5 🌶🌶/5 From what I can tell, this book has had many titles and has been revised and re-released a few times. I read it as Never Give You Up by Geneva Lee Olympic Falls #1
This was a hard read for me. I know this is a college romance and I am... Older... but as someone with an illness that affects my life, this hit hard. I related to the FMC on a few levels, thinking back at myself at her age, but I did not like the character very much. I am not sure what that says. Even though the story was spicy at times much of the story came off YA.
I also do not know if I would call this a HEA but more of an HFN
This novel was formerly called Catching Liam but I think Catching Jillian is more appropriate. She doesn't want to be caught. She thinks being caught is bad. She thinks she isn't even worthy of the chase.
Enter Liam.
Smiles like the sun. Sexiest male specimen ever. Oh and the Scottish brogue too.
Liam wouldn't have to chase me. I fell at his feet while he was in her kitchen! (🤷♀️ just saying!)
While I enjoyed the story, the story needs some serious proofreading. I was actually appalled knowing it has been proofread through two different "publishing" processes. If missing words and wrong words aren't a trigger for you, enjoy! If they are beware. While it's not in every chapter, it is frequent enough that it left me twitching.
This book hit home and it made me cry. I was diagnosed with Huntington's Diease , which is hereditary and my dad has it and passed it to me. I got tested when I was 22 and have a little symptoms as of now but it's hard knowing what your future looks like. It was hard to date because you would eventually have to tell them they are gonna have to do total care if it works out. This was relatable to the MC you learn how to not get attached. I really like Liam, I just felt like the ending was rushed a little. But I do like where they told her she is more than her disease and that it's about perspective!
P.s. I had my daughter before I knew I was sick. I have know been married for 5 years with a man who understands.
Waste of time. The FMC did not endear you to herself at all. You can get the sense why the author has tried this series under three different title groupings.
