My life has never been simple, yet it's always been comfortable. Until the first day of my senior year when I walked into Mr. Boyd's class, and I knew something was deeply wrong with me.
It started out small. A slight obsession that quickly gave way to full-on lust.
His words were cruel, his actions comforting.
He opened me up, pulling out my deepest secrets. Revealed the truths of my nature I'd never confess.
He promised he would break me, fix me of my bratty ways.
Somewhere between the secrets and discipline, I got lost. Got wrapped up in the illusion of us.
The thing about illusions, they eventually break. And I, Callum Madison, am falling in love with a man I can never have.
M.T. Morgan lives in Texas with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading a good fantasy/PNR romance as well as a good cup of coffee. She has old lady tendencies even though she's in her mid-twenties. And writing her own bio is very cringe worthy to her.
M.T. Morgan tends to bounce around the romance genre. She may make you laugh, cry and cringe. It just depends on her mood.
Holy-smokes this was one hot student teacher Romance. M.T. Morgan wasn’t playing she brought the Smoke with this Sinfully- kinky forbidden romance had my Kindle combusting.
“I’m the hunter, and he is the prey.”
Lincoln and Callum had this scorching hot sexual tension and there chemistry sent sparks of electricity throughout my body Like a defibrillator straight to the heart!
“I swear if you make me come before I’m fully inside you, I will punish you.”🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Lincoln was the sexiest dirtiest talking alpha he was so hot the words that came out of this man’s mouth would melt a cassock of off a nun. But underneath that was a man that needed to be loved and pushed I couldn’t get enough of him.
This is hands down M.T. best work her writing continues to get more and more addictive.
In true MT fashion I couldn’t put this down! I devoured it Doll Face 😘. I had one of those mmm am I into that moments more than once while reading this.
Callum and her journal entries are my favorite to read each one I felt a type of connection to especially “sometimes, your inner freak awakens in inappropriate places” (yeah while reading this book)
I love me a dirty talking alpha male and Mr Boyd was worth it talk about swoon.
Mr Boyd and Callum have some sizzling chemistry for sure and dirty fantasies count me in on that!
Talk about plot twists I live for those and of course MT did this one fantastic! I was gripping my kindle wanting to yell I mean you can feel something bound to happen but dang it!
This book over all is Chefs kiss fantastic and again MT I want myself a Mr Boyd!
I mean we could call him Lincoln but where’s the fun in that? 💋
Damn!!!! My girl has done it again!! Wooo talk about smoking hot! This book is chefs kiss!!!! 5 stars isn't anything compared to what this should be!!! Woof right out the gate I loved Callum she is the perfect bratty female ! And Lincoln brings being a smoking hot teacher to another level!!! Warning... once you read the first line you will not be able to put it down!!! You will be sucked in by Callum and Lincoln's witty sexy banter!! Hands down my number one read of August and top five of the whole year!!! And I'm obsessed !
heroine has sex with someone else after meeting the hero. i don't know about anyone else, but i hate reading intimate scenes with OW/OM. in this case, the heroine has oral sex with her boyfriend in the first chapter on the same day she meets (and lusts) over the hero. the whole time she's with her boyfriend, she also happens to be thinking about the hero *face palm* i'm going to have to pass. wish i had known about this before going into the book but i sadly couldn't find a review that mentioned it.
Let me just start by saying that this isn't your usual student/teacher kind of book. This book is soooo much more. I started this book yesterday morning and finished it at 2am this morning. I just couldn't put it down.
This was the first book I read by M.T. Morgan but it sure as heck won't be the last because this book had everything I love in a book. The storyline just flowed, the world builing was amazing, the back story of the characters done so nicely..overall the whole book is *chef's kiss*.
Also, don't let the pretty (and it really is a beautiful cover of the book) cover fool you that this book is all sunshine and roses. Not at all. It gets, at some part, very dark and you have a feeling that there won't be a happy ending at all in this one.
And that ending...ughhh. WOW!!! That is all I got to say because I don't wanna reveal too much. Also, that epilogue made me cry. When you read it you will know why.
Overall, this was such an amazing and quick read (read it in less than a day) that should definetly be on your TBR List. If you are in the mood to read a sexy, quick and fun, but also an exciting read, this book is for you.
This book went to some unexpectedly dark places and I didn’t want to put this book down. I went in expecting a student/teacher romance, but there was a lot more depth to the story. I mean, Mr. Boyd loves Poe, so really, I was always going to like him.
Reckless Conduct follows Callum, a high school senior, who becomes mildly obsessed with her new Government teacher and decides to pursue him. However, Mr. Boyd knows that it should be wrong and quickly finds out that he was never going to win that battle.
Callum has spent her life being put aside by her father, which created a whole host of issues for her, so she’s constantly looking for validation from others, including Mr. Boyd. Lincoln has never been in love and has no desire for it, but he finds himself unable to stay away from her, quickly becoming possessive. They had a very good dynamic together and the taboo aspects of their relationship only made the fire burn hotter.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book and I’d definitely read more by this author. It kept me invested in the story and I find myself wanting to know more about some of the other characters (This is me hoping for another one…). If you like forbidden romance with some darker elements, a grumpy alpha male, and some serious spice, you might like this one. This book releases next week on 8/31.
*I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.*
When MT Morgan gives us a book, she delivers her full heart and soul into it! This is a 2022 MUST READ!!
Reckless Conduct is a student/teacher, age gap, forbidden romance that will have you fanning yourself the whole way through! Callum is so lovable, she is fierce and exactly what Lincoln needs. Lincoln is grumpy and oh so delicious. This book takes you on a crazy ride of witty banter and chemistry to the next level! All of these characters in this book are written for a reason and without one the story wouldn’t be the same.
I fully recommend you read this book! It is just so well done! While you’re at it, read more from this author! She is amazing and continues to blow me away with her words!
Reckless Conduct is one of the best taboo… age gap…forbidden romances I have ever read. M.T. created straight magic with this one. I was drawn to this book from the start.
This is not like any taboo story I have ever read.. I mean that in the best way possible!! What I loved most about this one was the back story of both our hero and heroine. They’re both dealing with totally different things but the way M.T. was able to combine their stories into one was something incredible.
I couldn’t put this book down. One chapter turned into two then before I knew it I was done with the book.
This was my first book by M.T. and I’m already a fan. I absolutely love her writing. I’m not the biggest reader of taboo or even age gap romances but wow!!!! Ruthless Conduct is one that I will read over and over. I am in complete awe of this story.
This was ok. I was expecting more honestly. More connection, more depth. Just more feeling all around. But for what it was it was still a good read. Really dirty smut, but that's all that it was for like 90% of the time. Then the twist seemed to come out of nowhere, at least for me. Overall not bad, just not what I was expecting.
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **
Holy hell! I wasn’t expecting this book to be what it was! It was so hot and some really unexpected turns I didn’t see coming. I wish i could reread for the first time so I can relive it all over again, it was that good.
Mr. Boyd and Callum are so hot together and complement each other well and keep each other inline.
I thought this was missing something, and would have probably given it 3.5
I liked the concept, but I felt like some pieces of the book were rushed. I LOVE student teacher romances, but I hate when characters fall for each other too fast. I think this needed more to it, but I can’t place what was missing.
I'm a sucker for student/teacher romance so when I saw this book I knew I had to read it asap. And let me tell you once I started I couldn't put it down, I was totally hooked from the get go. Callum was sweet, fierce and such a brat lol. Mr. Boyd was sexy, intense, such a grump and the perfect guy to keep her in line. The banter and chemistry between them was so good and I loved how you could feel their connection straight away.
Reckless Conduct was quick, easy read and the story flowed really well. It was a fun, hot, forbidden ride with a couple of twists along the way. This was my first book by M.T. Morgan but it won't be the last. If you like this trope definitely check this one out!
Can we all just take a moment to just digest what was just read? This book was absolutely amazing. M.T Morgan brought us a sizzling hot, new Student Teacher romance with a side of steaminess.
These characters grabbed me from the very beginning and kept a hold on me until the very end. Mr. Boyd was the perfect grumpy hero that I could not get enough of. Callum was the sunshine and her personality was the perfect counterpart for him. Morgan added humour, a little angst, loads of steam and an amazingly gripping plot.
I loved the story line and felt that it was not your usual student teacher romance and that is what had me dying for more.
Sooooooooo good, this book has me hooked page 1 . “Lincoln “ will be in my dreams for the next few days , that man is yummy ! She for sure knew how to draw us in with the drama, the entertainment and the sexy parts. This book is a must read! I loved this author before and even more now !
I enjoyed Callum and Lincoln’s story. It was fast-paced and had some unexpected turns. However I feel like the whole love part was rushed, and we didn't get to experience any of it. I am extremely disconnected from both characters.
3.75 out of 5 Stars (Slight Spoilers Ahead, Nothing Major) I find this review difficult to write because I have a lot of mixed feelings towards this book. There were some aspects of this book that I loved, and couldn't get enough of but there were also some points that I did not care for. The parts that I didn't like are just my opinion, and they aren't tropes that I tend to like, BUT you might enjoy them and like this book a lot more than I did. What I liked... I overall liked the idea of Lincoln and Callum's relationship, I thought they were suited for one another. The both needed something from the other that they were missing in their lives. For Callum she needed a male figure in her life that wasn't going to leave, or ignore her like her father does. It was her father's constant indifference that gave Callum her clear daddy issues. Lincoln needed someone he could just trust, and follow his lead. I also enjoyed the overall theme of the book and the underlying suspenseful aspect of the story. Lincoln trying to take down the step father that killed his father. I also liked it when Callum finally started standing up for herself to her father. This man who has literally ignored her and told her to call him Richard instead of dad, NOW wants to have a meaningful relationship with her? NOOOO!! And she straight up said you can't decide now that you want me to be you daughter. I also thought it was a sad bittersweet but important moment when she also stood up to her mom, who she LOVES, her mom eloped with her dad, his three sons without her there. And while Richard tried to hide behind the fact that she was invited on the trip too Callum had an excellent point that her mom should have stood up to waiting for her and that she thought it was always the two of them and she felt that her mom abandoned her. Like I said that moment just really hit me in the feels. Now for what I did not like... I did not like the fact that Lincoln was her teacher, specifically that he was her HIGH SCHOOL teacher. When I read the description and they said he was her teacher her senior year I assumed it was senior in college not high school, if it was college I would have been fine with it, high school is just weird. I'm generally not a fan of large age gaps (10 years in this instance) but usually I can look beyond it. But I rarely can move on when the younger person is too young. I think for age gaps to work in romances the younger person needs to have some time to live life, when they're in their teens I just think it's harder for it to work and honestly kinda creepy for her to be 18. As I said, this is just my opinion. You might enjoy the forbidden aspect of the story, but it rubs me the wrong way. I think I would have been more okay with it if she had at least graduated from school when they started to hook up.
This book took me through different phases of emotions. It started out quirky and at times laugh out loud funny. Callum is witty, a little spoiled, girly girl with daddy issues, and really likes to push buttons. She also has a bit of a dark side. Mr Boyd is her new grumpy, and extremely hot, high school teacher.
Now before the judgement starts, I was at first unsure of how I felt about this situation. That fact that Callum was already 18 made me feel better and I was curious how this was going to play out. Also, Callum really was the one that egged Mr Boyd on. It got to be quite comical with their early interactions. She definitely poked the bear!
Then things started getting interesting. Mr Boyd had a bit of a dark side too and Callum’s antics were wearing his self control down. There was a little BDSM element, which I usually don’t care for, but the whole forbidden/taboo relationship had me invested! My only dislike: the pet name Callum chose to call Lincoln Boyd had me screaming NO! No kink shame, but I think I found my one and only trigger. 😂
There is a bit of a plot twist with some discoveries over half way through that kept me in suspense and then…BAM! The story takes a slight dark turn. Interesting change of events. I don’t want to spoil anything else, but know it has a great HEA and I think Callum and Lincoln are perfect. This is a dual POV book and I’m so glad I got to read Lincoln’s perspective as well. I also love the one sentence journal entries at the beginning of each of Callum’s chapters.
“The thing about addiction? You don’t know you’re addicted until it’s too late.” ~ Lincoln
Reckless Conduct is now live! So grab your copy if you like: ✔️Taboo ✔️Age Gap ✔️Teacher / Student (of legal age) ✔️Forbidden Romance ✔️Grumpy / Sunshine ✔️Dual POV ✔️Dominance & Submission
”Reckless Conduct” is one of those books that you causally start reading thinking it will go one way, and the next, you know, hours have gone by because it took a turn you had no idea was going to happen. “Reckless Conduct” is a forbidden age gap, student/teacher romance—or is it? Yes, it is, but there is so much more. It’s multi-layered, and I love that in a story.
Lincoln is an 18-year-old senior in high school. She’s also the product of her mother being the mayor’s side piece—an exciting and essential part of the story. I loved Lincoln’s personality. It was part senioritis and part just her. She was done being perceived as the “rich girl” because she knew the mayor was funding her, but the one class she found boring was the one class her handsome teacher Callum taught. Thoroughly checked out, she decides to journal a romance story during class that involves Callum as the main character. One detention too many eventually led to Callum making her read an entry out loud. He finally breaks, and their relationship begins, NDA included—no joke.
As mentioned earlier, “Reckless Conduct” is multi-layered and interconnected to several other characters in the book, and it all comes full circle at the end. From the mayor, Callum’s grandfather, to even Lincoln’s boyfriend. The spice is perfect. The drama is perfect. And I loved all the twists that went along with it. Author M.T. Morgan does a fabulous job doing this. I am thrilled I found this author and am ready to dive into more.
I first discovered Morgan's writing through Fractured Wings months ago. I love her writing style and the way she tells her story in that book. The reason why I stayed silent on her is well...I thought THAT book was her only work *cries*
Apparently the tagging or probably technical arrangement in Goodreads between this https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... did not link to her actual Goodreads author page. Imagine if I gave up, I would have missed from discovering this *shudder*

Anyways, who love a forbidden story between a teacher and student who love calling him daddy *pervy shudder* ;)
Well in that case, this is for you. I devoured this in one seating. The character development of both Callum and Lincoln is a bit rushed but justified when both characters have their own POVs. So, you get a better understanding of what's in their heads. There's also a real representation of Callum and her post traumatic experience from being abandoned for so long. It wasn't heavy but I truly felt her pain.
Entering the smutty & kinky territory 🫦 What a delicious ride. I love their playful banter and Lincoln is having a hard time ignoring Callum. Y'all know what happens when a teacher is having a hard time controlling himself from getting what he truly wanted...*smokes*
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a student/teacher romance. I have to warn you that your kindle might actually melt in your hands as you're reading too. This is the story of Lincoln and Callum. She is a little bratty thing I have to say. But, the second she walks in to class she is drawn to Lincoln and might have become a little obsessed with him along the way. But I do have to say that Lincoln brings a whole new meaning to my professor is smoking hot. And the man certainly has a mouth on him. I am a sucker for a dirty talking alpha male. This book was so good and one of the best student/teacher romances I have read in a really long time.
Who does like a good age gap romance between teacher and student. Anyone else hot for teacher 🥵!
Callum is in her senior year of high school. She lives with her mom and claims at least in public she doesn’t know who her dad is. She definitely has some issues with not being good enough. She walks into her first day of government class and finds a very handsome Mr. Boyd her teacher.
Mr. Boyd or Lincoln is a teacher at a private school. His father pasted away awhile back and though he should be working for the company his father build he isn’t. Lincoln see Callum that first day of class and knows he has to have her.
There were a lot of great steamy moments in this book. I felt like almost every chapter had something steamy was going down. If you know what I mean.. 🥵I do love a good student teacher relationship because it is always a little tricky when the characters can’t be caught being together.
This was some very interesting twits in this book that I did not see coming and all. My first instinct is I was shocked and I wanted to cry and say no but it all worked out in the end.
Side note I am kind of intrigued about Noah and Elizabeth.. hope maybe they will get a story.
It's the tension hun. It's the freaking tension. My god. WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN? This book was more than just entering paradise where a chain of riveting and unexpected twists take place and my journey so far has been a hell of a ride. A ride that I enjoyed. Callum and Mr. (ahem or should I say Mr. Legspreader) Boyd's chemistry was definitely off the charts. Aside from the steam, the angst, and the danger lurking in the dark, all too tempting to ignore... it was the raw and real emotions I felt when I knew more about the character's backstories and how they were able to overcome the hurdles that tried to destroy the connection they built. I'm not giving this a five-star rating because 1. The author is insanely talented and the way she writes is purely you just want to know more and 2. Mr. Boyd has nothing to do with my decision (even though it's just a TINY part of it. Back off ladies, he's mine<3 I called dibs on him first no room for arguments ). I'm giving this a five-star rating because this book truly spoke to me. It resonated with me and it's a universe I want to live in forever.
I completely agree with everyone who said this book desperately needs an editor. The dialogue was awkward, the grammar was rough, and the spelling mistakes were constant. It made the whole thing difficult to get through.
The pacing was just as bad. The first chapter was basically: introduce girl → girl meets boy → instant spiral into internal monologues about daddy issues → oral with her boyfriend. None of it flowed naturally. The main character felt hollow, and the guy didn’t have much depth either. Honestly, it read more like a diary that forgot to include emotion, just flat and unengaging.
Which is what makes it so frustrating because the idea had so much potential. A bastard daughter whose father is a governor, who doesn’t like her, and she’s coping with that through self-destructive lust over a brooding 30-something professor? That setup could’ve been amazing. But the execution? Bland, boring, and honestly a mess. I’m genuinely sad for what this story could have been.
This book was outstanding. A crazy journey of two people finding the person who puts them first. Callum is a caring, smart all round good person even when her life at home is one big mess. A father who is around but not a father to her. A boyfriend that is hiding secrets. What does a girl do but fantasize about her Hot new teacher. Mr. Boyd is drawn to Callum on the first day with her bows in her hair. It was fun to see the spitfire sassy side of Callum come out with her interactions with Lincoln, and how over times the angst between them got two much and they let their feelings show. Lincoln becomes very protective and possessive of her and when he finally accepts his feeling he will not let her go. When rules are made they are made to be broken and they did that from the beginning. Their journey was full of twists, secrets, family betrayals and finding the one person you would put before everyone else. This is must read. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
i wanted this to be a lot better. the characterization isn’t very strong besides “spoiled brat with daddy issues” and “grumpy teacher man.”
honestly the best relationship in this book is between callum and jake once they decide that they’re just friends, and i wish we would’ve gotten to see more of that.
this story had potentially to be a really fun forbidden age gap romance, but it’s just really underdeveloped and honestly not that much fun to read.
it also needs a pass by an editor. “neckless” instead of “necklace,” “expresso” instead of “espresso,” things like that just really take you out of the book and make it seem really juvenile and careless.
there’s also a very strange secondary plot towards the end in this that really feels out of place. it’s like the author thought “i need some big drama” and just threw something in without really making it part of the story.
