A lot of things can be bought in this world, but your health isn’t one of them. The only person who can achieve optimal health is one who is willing to put in the work. To make the most out of your one chance on earth, you need to become a master of the five pillars of
Hard To Kill will give you a roadmap that will help you to master those five pillars, making you physically, mentally and spiritually strong. A mistake made more than once is a choice. Choose to be Hard To Kill.
"Hard to Kill: Master the Mindset to Maximize Your Years" by Jaime Seeman is a good book that provides an overview of five essential pillars for living a healthier, longer life. Jaime Seeman is clearly a resilient and powerful woman, and she shares her insights on:
Nutrition: Covers the basics of healthy eating. Movement: Highlights the importance of regular physical activity. Sleep: Discusses the necessity of quality rest, including some interesting points on sleep hygiene and mouth taping, which was new to me. Mindset: Focuses on the power of a positive and resilient mindset. Environment: Talks about creating a supportive living space. The book offers a solid foundation for these pillars, but sometimes it feels a bit too broad and lacks depth in certain areas. If you're looking for detailed, in-depth strategies, you might find it a bit lacking. However, if you want an introductory guide to key aspects of health and wellness, "Hard to Kill" is a good starting point.
Overall, I found it to be a decent read with some interesting insights. Jaime Seeman's strength and determination shine through, making it an inspiring read despite its broad approach.
Excellent advice from a strong, intelligent, beautiful woman, mother, wife! I will definitely share this with my circle of friends and my daughter! Love this life path advice and believe in it all!
I would recommend this book to anyone. Great information on how to improve your health overall. Our healthcare’s “sick-care” model needs to change…it appears to be in our hands to start doing so.
Good no nonsense information and living healthy well balanced life. I will say the last 3 pages of the book seemed to making sweeping generalizations about research and big pharma that are not appropriate to make especially given the fact that she is a physician.
This book was full of great information that I had forgotten about over the years of being a gym rat. I personally like Dr. Seeman and her approach to fitness and nutrition.
