Um, this has a lot of different triggers so please beware. This is a no for me.

This made me very uncomfortable. I can deal with a lot of different aspects and perspectives and I’d like to say I’m very open minded but this hit a new high of discomfort for me.

I like dark humor but I simply don’t think all the stories were well written. The stories themselves were kind of only surrounded by and solely focused on very difficult topics. That might have been okay if we saw the character development, chemistry, and emotion regarding the love (or lust) in this but it’s like the author just decided to pile sex and “I do this/I did this because I love you” on top of it with no other explanation or connection.

I gave stars for effort and for the fact that all stories weren’t the same and did better than others. Still ultimately triggering. I like the various ideas of complexity and complicated relationships but it could’ve been displayed better. In an entertaining and informative way.

Enclosed inside are a collection of stories that embody the sweetness, comedy, pain, and joy of loving someone or being in love. The emotions of the characters comes across strongly as they deal with their self doubts, loneliness, and despair; but also their undying devotion and need for their special someone-which sometimes borders on obsession.

Although I loved all of them, my favorite story was One Night Stand. Scarlet made me cry, while Scarred made me laugh. All in all this is one title that I would recommend for any yaoi fan.

This manga features three stories that each give a small glimpse into the inner thoughts of people in various types of complicated relationships.

The first one involved the clumsy and overly emotional Ryo, an obsessive boyfriend who is easily manipulated by woman into constantly sleeping around. He'd beg for forgiveness each time and after a while his boyfriend, Akio, even accepted it. However, after hooking up with a particularly controlling woman Akio decides he's had enough and tries to break up with Ryo. This doesn't work out too well since Ryo would rather kill him then allow him to be with anyone else (... and I'm here screaming are you freaking serious?!).

Him and his boyfriend definitely have what some would consider a toxic relationship but in the end, after all is said and done, they both seem happy so I'm guessing it works for them.

The other two stories were shorter but equally fascinating. The first one centers around the relationship that forms between two coworkers that have a one night stand, one of which is painfully shy. The second one focuses on the thoughts of a man in a relationship with someone prone to depression and low self esteem.

I really liked these stories because they were so different from what I normally read. And not only that, the way the mangaka conveyed the speaker's inner thoughts and feelings was masterfully done. Even when I thought they were crazy I understood them completely.
I should also mention that the art style was very pretty. All of the male characters were beautiful, especially Ryo.

I bought this manga on a whim, not knowing anything about it or the mangaka. Now I'm fascinated to see what their other stories are like. If they are anything like these I know I'll enjoy them.

Okay, so I’m not sure if this artist is ‘romanticizing’ toxic relationships or not.
The way I read it, it seems more like a satire. Super clever at showcasing various types of relationships. There’s a unique way the toxic relationships are displayed. From what I’ve noticed there is usually a secondary side character that makes remarks that the viewer would make. The behaviors are also extremely exaggerated and humor is placed perfectly to break the seriousness.
If you’re trigged by abusive relationships then you’ll want to skip the first story/couple for sure. I had a hard time reading it too.
The artwork is hit or miss with people. I happen to greatly enjoy it.

I rated this a three-star because this is three stories in one and only one of them deserved more than a 3-star rating. I had high hopes for the first story which started off with an interesting story but quickly took a dark turn. The Second story was quite enjoyable with an elevator Romance. The Last Story was pretty forgettable.

First story.... Yikes. Interesting to read but if you're against romanticized toxic relationships just skip it. The second story was really cute though I enjoyed reading that one more.

This was my first Hiro Madarame book and wow. There are three stories in this book and they are all beautiful (albeit frustrating) in their own way, I really can't think of any other word to describe it. But what really stands out in this book is the artwork.

There's nothing out there about the plot. It falls under the typical BL guidelines. Meet+DoubleGuess+Angst+Sex. Rinse and repeat, but the way they are told was very captivating. Combined with the artwork and you got a match made in BL heaven.

The translation seems inappropriate at some points, but it's a minor detail.

The art is lovely. The angst is probably too close to reality. How many times have you or known of someone who has taken back an abusive stalker? The possibility of a happily-ever-after "It's love because he'd rather kill me than live without me!" ending is pure fairy tale. The other stories are about the anxiety of hooking up and contemplating the attraction to an unlovely person. Now, that's real life.

The first story isn't that great--it's not so bad having a weak "seme" once and a while, but when it gets to the point Ryo tries to break up with Akio because a girl told him to, it's just pathetic. Ryo also tries to kill Akio after raping him ("If I can't be with you no one can!"), and this just gets dismissed.

The last two stories are much, much better and much, much cuter.

At first I didn't think I was going to care much for this, as the art work is not my normal style. By the end of it however I was a convert. I loved the story and the quirky art syle. Looking forward to more in this series.

I'm weak to Madarame-sensei's artwork.. but I won't say that the story is just average, because it's the kind of manga that you can read again and again.

The first story's quite good, but I like the second story more than the first one. I wish the second story is much, much longer....

Just a warning the first story is kinda... gore(?) I don't know if that's the word but if your sensible just skip the first couple.
