Even though this book is a holiday novella, I still read it lol. I love the book. The cover drew me in, it's so pretty so I decided to read it. It has 2 of my most favorite things in it, vampires and witches. This is the second time I have actually read a book about vamps and witches, besides the vampire chronicles by Anne Rice. This book really intrigued me and I seriously cannot wait for the next book. Brooke Saylor is a terrific writer and will be more than happy to read All of her books. She has fun with her books by what I am reading and it becomes fun for me. Now I cannot wait to read Feral Claws. Hopefully it's as good as this book was or is.

I got a free copy of the book and is voluntarily leaving a review.

Yule Be Sorry (2019) by Brooke Saylor is a wonderful Christmas holiday novella.

Yes Christmas is gone for another year but that doesn’t mean a good Yuletime read should be put to one side! This great read has a great winter feel to it in any case and is a perfect read to sit down with a warm cup of tea and feel warm despite the cold weather of the plot.

In the book, we meet seventeen-year-old Ariella who is a closeted witch. She is currently trying to learn how to control her powers which seem to be causing a storm in the city she lives in. She is searching for answers about her ancestors and her magical powers. Her best friend is Remy who she attends high school with. She is secretly in love with him and he with her. But he also has secrets of his own.

I very much enjoyed the story. It was very well put together, flowed with ease. All the characters are great and add something to the plot but Remy is my favourite. Introverted, determined and all round amazing!

This story was a very good short which has a strong plot to it and the follow up if longer could prove to be a brilliant book.

Very interesting, great read.

If you heard squeals traveling through time and space, that was just 14 year old me’s delight at finally finding the perfect YA book.

Equal parts true blue witchcraft and fantasy magic, once I opened the book I finished it in one sitting. This goes without mentioning a vampire love interest, which effectively brings all of my paranormal faves together for one story.

The book is very well written + I’m super eager for the continuation next holiday season. I’d also LOVE to see ‘Yule Be Sorry’ rewritten someday and expanded upon a bit. This isn’t to knock anything about the story, it’s just that I need more from these characters!

I’ve been looking for a storyline exactly like this one for over a decade and any author who can conquer that is immediately going to my favorites list. Aside from more stories about Ariella + Remy, I’m also looking forward to seeing what other story ideas are waiting in Brooke Saylor’s mind. Every time she issues a release, I can guarantee I’ll be reading it.

Yule Be Sorry-A Yuletide Holiday Novella” by Brooke Saylor is a tale of one young Witch by the name of Ariella...whose coming of age means her magical powers are enhancing ...and by Winter Solstice...also known by Yule...due to her immature inexperience of said enhancement ...those powers ...may be out-of-control. And to top that off...she has no one who either understands her plight or can advise her EXCEPT searching for answers from the ancients with the assistance of one thoughtful and solitary youth called Remy...who has vampiric secrets of his own. As the time of darkness approaches ...Ariella’s inner struggle manifests itself...along with a corespondent outward display of frigid behaviors ...Will she be able to master it’s might....or will it’s arrival destroy everything ...including her?!? Read and See what happens. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book

A cutesy teenage paranormal read, a bit like an episode of Charmed or anything post-Twilight teenage witchery related.

Our girl Ariella seems a tiny bit slow on the uptake (her Book of Shadows pretty much throws important information in her face about a certain someone...) and the romance element goes from not much to woah a bit on the quick side, but otherwise sweet enough. Not particularly Yuletide-y though other than it being set around the time and there is frost magic. Also the ending has no resolution (this was first published in 2019 with the next scheduled for release the next holiday season? I wish I'd known it was part of a planned series as I'm not keen on short episodes without endings as such.)

Cute YA, though maybe a little young for my personal preference and without resolution. Good writing, but maybe not my jam.

This is a great witch story. It is about seventeen year old Ariella. She is a witch coming into her powers. The only problem is that she has powers that no other witch has ever had. She has to find the answers and her ancestors. The novella ends at the start of her journey. Can't wait to see where her journey takes her.

I loved this story, it was so sweet, but far too short and now I have to wait for the next one to be released to see how Arielle and Remy continue their story. Please don't let it be too long.
Well written and kept me reading, I think I would have finished in one sitting if I hadn't fallen asleep!

Witches and Vampire Holiday Story

I loved this story except it was way too short. Please be joking about when book 2 will be released. This will be worse than waiting for next Lord of the Rings. lol

Nice!!

This seems like a really good beginning to a new series. The main characters seem interesting and I'm excited to see how they develop. I'm also excited to see how other supernaturals are displayed and how they'll be introduced.

Love how the romance was subtle, focused more on the supernatural of vampires and witches...however it was short even for a short story left at a weird cliff hanger, but still a great read!
