An old ally turns enemy and puts Phoebe’s redemption in jeopardy. Phoebe’s next job from Fate isn’t one that will count towards salvation. It’s to clean up the mess the Fae made following her directive. It’s a tall order considering the slaughter has made it onto the public news. With war between the Fae and demons exploding all over Manhattan, Phoebe navigates the fine line between bounty hunter and peacemaker. Unfortunately, she has never been good at discouraging violence. Her old taskmaster from Hell gathers the demon forces together for the next battle, one that would make his ascent to Hell’s throne possible. And he wants Phoebe strapped to a table screaming for all eternity for her betrayal. Phoebe must stop him before he opens a two-way portal from Hell to Earth, even if it means sacrificing her own soul.

Excellent, Even if though it made me cry!

These books have been amazing and this third book seemed the perfect way to bring it all together. Even though I loved Phoebe, but I also could not help but love Smoke as well. But then who can't help but love a smarty butt cat.

This book is full of action and you cannot help but fall in love with the characters. There will be many times you might want to throw things at the authors. Maybe even threaten to never read any of their books again..

Final book in this series, so definitely go start with book 1. It’s been a fun series!

Phoebe still is working towards gaining her soul back, but there’s still a couple of deadly sins she has some problems with. She’s also withheld some secrets from Smoke and Adam, so she’s feeling bad about lying to the people who have supported and helped her; it causes a bit of strife between the group.

Fate has tasked Phoebe with cleaning up the mess left after the end of the events in the 2nd book; plus, the demons are after the Fae, so Phoebe is finding herself plenty of foes to fight against. Love all the action! I really liked some of the side characters too! I wasn’t aware that this series features some characters from past books by J.E. Taylor until I went and looked it up, but I’m interested to read their stories too now; they all sound like such interesting characters with some entertaining stories. I’m looking forward to checking their stories out!

The ending for this book felt a bit rushed for me; especially the stuff with Smoke, I didn’t quite get the connection there. Still really entertaining conclusion. Love Phoebe as a character! She’s strong willed and tough; she thinks with her heart and her brain. Smoke is still an entertaining character. Don’t really care for Adam, but I do think they all work well as a group. It was great to get more time with Fate too! Overall, I’ve really enjoyed this whole series! Excited to check out more from both authors!

Phoebe is at it again, trying to protect people she loves and do everything on her own has gotten her into hot water with Adam and Smoke. Smoke has hurt feelings but Adam went totally bats over it. Using juvenile cold shoulder tactics because Phoebe obtained information from Furcus, a demon, that allowed her to save HIS girlfriend Samantha. And he's off the handle for most of the book, it makes you glad she didn't fall in love with him. Smoke comes around quickly but keeps an eye on Phoebe when she tries to sneak out. Lucky for her because Prometheus is a Reaper on the side of the demons, and nothing in her arsenal can kill him. Phoebe takes a road trip with Fate which provides the needed weapon plus restores her faith in the bargain. The showdown comes with unexpected sacrifices leaving Phoebe devastated until there's a knock on the door. Without spoiling it, this ends up being a feel good action book. The best kind. Not full of sex, no extreme religious overtones, no bad editing, it's a joy to read.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Making difficult decisions in times of danger and despair can turn against one as Phoebe realized. The doubts still stalked and weakened her. She knew she was guilty and the path to redemption was supposed to teach her a lesson so, she had no choice but to confront Fate no matter what she put into play. It seems that Pride and Wrath were forces of destruction for her and something she would have to do not to lose what little she had accomplished. Lot of interesting twist in this book! When everything seemed lost and despair was catching Phoebe there was a light in the path. Phoebe learned, hard, with pain and lot of tears but she learned. Action, suspense, adventure, demons, strong emotions, intriguing characters, amusing situations, powerful weapons, violence and a lovely HEA. An exciting book that I enjoyed.

I really enjoyed the entertaining conclusion to this urban fantasy trilogy. Phoebe is still trying to work towards gaining her redemption, but with the war between the Fae and the demons causing havoc, her old controller from hell hunting her and plotting world domination, and guilt eating away at her for lying to her friends, she fears that she may never gain back her soul. There is lots of exciting action, fights, heartache, suspense, humour and sacrifice in this book, and I loved the twist at the end. The characters are great, and you can’t help but want them to succeed and find happiness. I especially loved Smoke, his sarcastic humour and snarky repartee never failed to make me smile. It was nice to see more of Faith in this story too. The authors tied everything up nicely creating a satisfying ending that to an enjoyable series.

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Salidas and Taylor deliver an entertaining page turner with "Beyond: ( Running From The Devil: Book Three ). While Phoebe attempts to mitigate the unexpected backlash from the breakup of the nascent Fae/Demon alliance that took place in "Between" we get to meet Nick/Death, Fate's/Julie's, husband. We also find out something surprising about Fate's recent behaviour. I'll not say more, you'll have to get the book and find out for yourself.
The authors, as is to be expected, continue their superb world building and character development as they introduce new characters and show us more about the main characters.
As with the two previous volumes in the series I was hooked from Page One to Page Last and hated having to stop reading for mundane things like, oh, working. I recommend this entertaining page turner.
In the interest of transparency, I was given a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.

As with every other book in this series, I have no words to adequately convey what I just went through reading this story. Certainly, none that keep me out of spoiler territory by a wide enough margin to use them. I can’t even detail what I loved most about this book without potentially giving away its best kept secrets. I may be a weeping mess now that it’s over, but I still want more. I’m not done with these characters. I NEED to know what happens next. Well, obviously I know what happens after the fade to black, but I want to know what happened after “and they all lived happily ever after”. I see the potential for a whole world of more stories to come.

I love the way Katie Salidas and J.E. Taylor imaginative take on fantasy. and their stories are always action packed with drama and suspense as you follow the characters throughout.
The chemistry and interaction between the characters is great, the story is filled with danger, suspense, magic and an evil vs. good storyline.
This was fast paced with amazing descriptions!
The authors, as is to be expected, continue their superb world building and character development as they introduce new characters and show us more about the main characters.
Kept me up late reading

The best book of the trilogy. Sometimes the final book in a series isn’t as good as the previous ones but this book was the perfect ending. Lucifer is dead but a demon Phoebe knew in Hell is trying to take his place. Phoebe, Adam, and Smoke will have a tough job stopping him and his followers. A sacrifice will be made. I loved how Fate didn’t know she was pregnant (funny) and that she is married to Death. I am going to miss the characters in this series. Fate tells Phoebe she has to clean the mess up that her last mission had caused and it would not count towards her redemption. An old ally turns up making her life even more difficult meanwhile demons are kidnapping Fae and Phoebe has to find out why. Sad it’s the last book in the series I have really enjoyed reading them all.

This was the best ending that could happen. The whole book was awesome. I loved this whole series. I loved how Phoebe never backed or was afraid of what might happen. She just went on the defense and attacked accordingly.
I'm glad Fate kept her word cause I was so scared she was playing a game or trick on her. I'm so glad some secrets and other things got revealed. Especially concerning Smoke. His story was a surprise. Even though he was so cocky and short to Phoebe at times, he always had her back.
Now Adam needed to get over himself. Yeah he learned about the supernatural and shoulders have but dang get over the attitude and show some gratitude for her saving him and his girlfriend lives.
You have to read this series. You won't be able to put it down.

This has been a page turning series. You can't help but enjoy all of the characters. The fight scenes are detailed so you can see them happening. This old idea "redemption", with some new tweaks, keeps things fresh in this paranormal set. You feel as though you aren't ready to say goodbye to everyone yet.

Strong female protagonist earning her redemption from Hell. Spine-tingling and heart pounding fast paced action packed read. Great character dynamics and a real tear jerker. Sign of a good book is when you cry and are emotionally attached to the characters. This is a great read and hard to put down. Want to keep reading. Great series.

WOW oh WOW. Amazing. This book, once I started reading, I could not put down. This story has been amazing throughout the three books and this one, I think was the best. The characters are amazing and no matter what happens, you will fall in love with them. The book moved along at a great pace, making for a enjoyable read. This book needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.

So, the end of the trilogy. This series has got better and better as it’s gone on. It’s a pity that there are only three books, cos you can see this one has grounds to run and run. Still never mind you can but hope for a return. Great book fantastic series. Highly recommended.

I have written many reviews and I always go back to Katie Salidas as one of my favorite Urban Fantasy authors. Katie teams up with J.E.Taylor for the "Running from the Devil" series, which is up there along with my favorite series from Ms. Salidas, Agents of A.S.S.E.T. In Running with the Devil Book 3 "Beyond" we find Phoebe cleaning up her mess from book 2. The beginning of the story has Phoebe escaped from hell where she has been torturing souls for many a millennia but is given a chance to to remain on earth and get her soul back if she can capture and wrangle back the 7 deadly sins. In book three she has two left, Wrath and Pride and the challenge to take down good old Prometheus. This is a fun, quick, entertaining read and clean, no detailed sex. Although Heaven, Hell and Earth are the characters playground there is a good dose of saucy, snark, sassy and unholy entertainment to keep you going.
