Another apparently frivolous adventure with a continued gradual increase in crew for the starship Head Case. Of course, there is also some loss of crew to go with the down side of adventure. A fun yet intriguing series of events surround this odd amalgamation of talent. Not a total waste of time. Plenty of humour.

Good Tale, marred by dragging out the story to sell more books
It truly saddens me when authors are unable to tell a complete story in a single volume. It is sadder still when a tale is dragged out just to sell more books. A series is one thing. But after 4 books in the series, it has become tedious, so I'm not buying more of this series. J.R.R. Tolkien gave us the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy in three books. He told the entire tale not in four, five, ten or 20 volumes, and the author isn't Tolkien.
The story is good, characters engaging, plot entertaining, but as a reader, I like story that gets to the point eventually. In this context, after 4 volumes, I'm done!

Cotton candy!
Loving this series, my only moan is they are too short and therefore over too soon!!!
Can't wait for the next.
If you have got this far in the series, you don't need me to tell you how exciting it is, how the characters continue to develop, the cleverness of plot and mini plots as the story develops, because you know!
Fun and imaginative I like this series and hope it has a few more chapters in its story yet, I really want to see Ben to a good conclusion he's been through so much and in a universe of tech, and now magic that should be possible. Do not let me down Michael!

As usual Forbes delivers a somewhat interesting grammatically correct work. Ben, Keep and the crew continue on their quest to save the galaxy basically rehashing the previous books but adding a new adventure that is totally predictable and eventually boring but you will read on hoping for something unique to the story. Well I guess it's on to the next book in the seies.

I could not decide, 4-1/2 or 5 stars
The book was really good. Enough action and not too much down time. I ended up only scanning 3 or 4 pages, which if you have ever read one of my reviews is pretty darn good. If you are into good guy coming out ahead of bad guy I believe you will like it.

Yup, candy is da bomb
After the adventure Ben barely lived through in Sedaya’s dungeon and the battle on Earth he & Keep go out searching for the Head Case and his friends/family/crew.
His Sigiltech abilities wind up being a two edged sword as he saves his life with them but discovers an unexpected physical cost of using them. The candy bomb is truly a blast!

This was an enjoyable read. A hero with a deadly form of brain cancer. But our hero has a knack for out running from danger. Our hero has a crew of madcap adventure. The villain is just evil enough to be a galaxy wide baddie! The goal is to find evidence of a plot to overthrow the Empress. On to the next book, can't Wait for the next chapter!

Great read

Easy read, entertaining, really liked the interaction between characters.
Why are the main characters prudes? Some super hot babe and a boy virgin, seriously? Enjoyed the interplay and reactions.

finish the good fight
I enjoyed the fast pace and getting to know Gia and her crazy planet. If you like a circus you will enjoy the eye candy in this book. I just ordered the first book for one of my grandson’s. I hope Ben gets his health restored so he can continue

This author has created a very engaging story line, with characters who are both believable and endearing. The plot flows seamlessly from book to book, in a fast passed adventure. The action and mystery (of the plot) are extremely well crafted. This series has been a true joy to read!

Good story telling - nothing overly complex - just good guys against the bad guys with lots of action and enough suspense to keep you entertained.

Overall really good, little slow in the middle third, but finished strong, looking forward to the next book.
