Protecting what is ours has never been a problem. Not until the threads are pulled separating everything we’ve done to build up our life.
Her lavender hair isn’t the only thing that stands out, each day spent with Skylar is another day we are closer to having the kind of life we always wanted.
They say that the truth will set you free, but what if that truth is too much for someone to handle? Can she handle us? Will our secrets be too much to bear?
So many secrets, when a few are let loose can the Maxwells keep their lives together, or will everything fall apart?
Skylar spends her time with working, visiting and taking care of her mom, and the Maxwell brothers Connor, Cassian, Cyrus, Colt, and Cruz. She cares about each one of them and they each give her something she needs. Great characters and storyline. Amazing book. The twist and turns in this book are fantastic.
This one is a bit longer than book one, and it's packed full of action. There is so much happening that when I got hit with that curveball, I was not expecting it. I really enjoyed seeing the other side of the Maxwells.
This one has some dark elements to it, and it's darker than the first, only because of the MMCs are darker. Sky just wants to make it through life and keep her mother at Heartstone. Each of the Maxwell brothers gives her something she needs, or something she didn't know she needed.
I really enjoyed this duet. It was dark, the guys were possessive, and the steam was 🤌🤌🤌
Part two of the duo and this book blew me away. When I thought I had figured it out, there were more twists and turns. Whitnay did an AMAZING job with this book and once you read it, you'll see what I'm talking about (as I refuse to spoil it here!) Trust me, though, when I say it's worth the read!!
Must read in order and check trigger warnings. This is written in the Maxwell brothers perspective, and they have a lot of secrets. Absolutely loved this duet!! I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Duplicity is predominantly told from the Maxwell brothers POV and picks up in the immediate aftermath of Simplicity.
It garnered a 4 star rating purely because I desperately wanted to hear how the FMC, Skylar, was feeling and get her thoughts and opinions on all that was unfurling.
That being said... The secrets in this novella were so closely guarded that I was in a perpetual state of confusion. My intrigue was a feral beast that couldn't be sated. I needed answers stat, so I turned those pages to the detriment of everything around me.
OMG, the premise of this book left you guessing in book 1. Boy, I want more RH like this. How special that she loves ALL of them, betrayal across many aspects of her life is shocking, but she can perservere ! This was action packed, busy with her HOT RH guys (5 of them), trying to be successful and take care of her mom. I want a book 3 on there live together and how she continues to raise a family with all her men. The tender moments with each of them and how they cope with life was very special. A+++++ Whitnay
