I loved the complex relational dilemmas in Book 6. No one know where Captain Jacob Takeda is or what side he is on. No one is sure who ordered an attack that killed all kinds of people, and whether it was politically motivated or part of the ongoing war. I loved seeing a more personal side to Samantha Hawkins and ace pilot Agatha Park. In the meantime, there are assassins and betrayals and tender moments and the forging of deep, deep friendships. A surprise twist at the very end made me want to order the next book and start reading immediately. Again, the balance betwen relational complexities and action / danger scenes is just perfect. The worlds are beautifully drawn - so unique and yet so similar to home. If you haven't started this series, you should move it to the top of your reading list. Highly recommended.

This is the first book I have read by Thomas Davis, and I was not disappointed. Enjoyed each page – the characters, and the storyline.
A space adventure, with action, heartache, and who will save the universe against the bad guys.
When Samantha Hawkins is called in to investigate the latest attack on innocent people, not all is what it seems. Can Samantha discover the truth before it is too late? Is their missing captain innocent or is he guilty of the claims against his name.

I recommend this book.

Traitor by Thomas Davis

Although this is the sixth book to this series and the first one I've read, I was amazed by the author's powerful technique that brought this story to life.
Adam was mentioned a few times before I saw his character finally appear. I wasn't disappointed.
Agatha and Samantha are two other great characters.
Well written and worth the 5 stars.

When Jake vanishes after a massacre by the Arez, he is suspected in helping it occur. Samantha is now tasked with finding him and determining what actually happened. Aided by her friend, Agatha, she is thrust into a world of secrets, betrayal, and danger.

I fell in love with the author’s worldbuilding skills and character development a few books back. He has a way of making it really easy to put yourself in the character’s shoes, and I love that. There was so much suspense in this story, and I liked the fresh perspective of the story. Jake was a character I remember fondly from previous books in the series. It’s always interesting to read books where it seems as if the potential hero has turned villain. There were a few great twists in this book, but like before, Jake is still my favorite character.
