The high price of immortality!

The Hero: Damien - he was a tailor in a fine shop that he owned, his life was simple though he made clothes for supernatural clients including vampires and gods. He had been cursed hundreds of years ago, to live an immortal life all alone. If he even hinted at love or attraction toward someone, that person would die, so he had resigned himself to being alone and liked his simple tailor’s life. However, he had a darkness inside him that nearly took over when he didn’t keep in control. He used to be a weapons expert and a supernatural fixer.
The story: Cimil, the goddess of the underworld showed up in Damien’s shop asking a favor of him. It seems that nine months ago, Cimil’s unicorn hooked up with a hellhound, which is a supernatural no-no. The resulting explosion turned the supernatural world upside down and now everything was out of whack. The gods and goddesses were all thrown into the underworld and their method of escape somehow got all their powers transferred to each other. So now Cimil is now the goddess of death and war, also most immortal creatures like vampires were turned mortal. Cimil wants Damien to return to being a fixer and find out what can be done to set things straight.
The heroine: Sky - She is an investigative journalist with her own online news outlet. She recently got national headlines after outing a group of human traffickers, but weeks later was in the news again when she was attacked by a sex fairy. She didn’t know it was a sex fairy, but explained to police that she was in a changing room at a sports store when a small person with wings was in her underwear trying to get all up in her business.
This story is different than anything I have read before. It was both serious and whimsical. Some of the supernatural things that happened were way out there and almost silly, but still the overall tone of the book was serious, as was Damien. He liked being a fixer, liked going out on the hunt for answers but was a bit afraid of his darkness and that is why he had to keep telling himself that what he really wanted was his simple existence as a tailor.
I kind of love the chaos that was Damien’s life since the start of this book. His life seemed so staid and boring before and now it was filled with all kinds of pandemonium, with supernatural creatures showing up left and right. Ghosts, demons, were eagles, former vampires, gods, fairy’s and even humans. He just wanted them all to leave. Plus he has this dark passenger (like Dexter), living inside him which his father had called his brother, who loved sex and killing, and spoke to him inside his mind. It was crazy but interesting.
As whimsical that this story was, it was also dark in parts, there were more than a few murders, human trafficking, supernatural creatures that were tortured and killed and much more going on than you would expect. There was a big cliffhanger at the end, so I don’t know what will happen next, but I can’t wait to find out.

WARNING: If you do not like swearing, horny sex fairies, foul mouthed Chihuahuas, brooding sexy tailors, conniving deities, gore, more gore, seriously corny jokes, ghost sex, fine scotch, nipple hair biscuits, and many insane immortals, then this book is not for you. (per Mimi Jean Pamfiloff).
I have been reading Mimi Jean’s novels for some time now, and every chance I get to read one, I jump all over it. She has a unique writing style that makes me laugh out loud while I flip the pages. The characters are off the charts, quickly winning my heart. The reviews are not easy to write, because I only want to tease you, not give away the story.
Damian Greystone yearns for the quiet life of a tailor, working on his own terms. He’s been cursed, bound to spend his life in emotional isolation. Everyone he comes to care for dies.
Things aren’t always as they appear and the purpose is not always easy to decipher.
I read the book in one sitting, unable to stop reading. I was hooked from the opening pages, but that is not surprising with a Mimi Jean Pamfiloff novel. The world she has created is filled with unique characters, put in difficult situations and I loved being along for the ride.
The Immortal Matchmakers is a prequel series to The Immortal Tailor. I feel you will benefit the most by beginning with The Immortal Matchmakers, Book I, but it is not a must.

Bonkers with a capital B !
As usual the author delights in giving readers characters that beggar belief ! The Gods are absent (boo) but their tailor isn’t ! Ok Cimil is sort of still around (hooray) with all her usual quirks and she has a mission for Damien. Now honestly he would really rather not but with a little blackmail (hey what’s that between friends ?) this fastidious tailor will get the job done as he really wants to get back to his boring, sanitised and oh so peaceful life . Yeah heehee that’s so not happening !
Warning this might offend ! Warning it’s classic Mimi Jean and not pulling punches. Rude at times perhaps, crude most definitely and absolutely hysterical and totally fun to read. The romance well it’s kind of not really there yet but things are moving along. The supporting characters frequently steal the scenes. As a reader you are left a little perplexed, maybe feeling a bit cheated of a happy ending but most definitely one hundred percent entertained.

I just love how Mimi always makes me laugh and I can never figure out what will come next. Her world building is fantastic. Her imagination amazes me each and every time and there's always so much heart in her stories. I'm stunned happy, each and every time.

ARC TIME!
I love being an ARC reader for the Amazing ms Mimi! It's so exciting waiting for a new book, wonder what kind of weird and wonderful she's been cooking up in that heat she lives in!
The Immortal Tailor, is a new series, with old and loved characters enveloped in a post apocalyptic (well, within the immortal) world, that includes a host of new, immensely insane characters for the reader to meet.
But wait, you say! Didn't everything end with the huge explosion?
Apparently not! We appear to have the oddly eccentric and apparently Immortal Tailor, along with a slew of more new to us immortals, that are more pharked up than any Mimi has given us before. Just their names alone are enough to ask yourself, why doesn't our favorite fantasy author get out of the sun!? Haha, she's putting herself at risk to make us happy.
I think I have a thing for Damien Greystone, our newest (or not) Immortal, and the lovely Sky Morales, his maybe love interest is quite normal, until......... there's a wee accident.
Chihuahua's that talk, if you listen carefully, and vampires that aren't, but my favorite is Pet the undies eating fairy! I just want to hug her, she's so adorable.
Absolutely loved this new twist on the continuing saga of the immortal race that Mimi has given us. Can't wait for more!

Sky Morales is an indie journalist and publisher of “Sky's Fresh Air News. Transparent, non-partisan and independent.” Which I have to applaud, because if you don’t think that all major news outlets are lying to the public, you haven’t been paying attention. Sky is investigating a human trafficking organization that appears to have ties to the governor's brother. When Sky starts getting threats after publishing her first article about the trafficking, her sister suggests they go camping and get away until things die down. When shopping for a bathing suit for their trip, Sky gets attacked by a tiny fairy.
Damien Greystone is an immortal tailor with both a secret and a curse. Tasked by one of the gods to find out why an accidental supernatural explosion has only effected part of the supernatural community. His first stop is going to see Sky, since the fairy who attacked her is unaffected by the blast. A logical place to start an investigation, but it sets off a chain of outrageous events and garners Damien an assortment of screwball supernaturals he can’t seem to shake.
Sit back, get comfy, and settle in for a wild and wacky paranormal world you’ve never seen the likes of before. Mimi takes us on another crazy adventure in her immortal world with Immortal Tailor. The story focuses on the fine immortal tailor Damien Greystone. Cimil, the always crazy but now Goddess of Death and War, appears and requests a favor he dare not refuse which introduces chaos into Damien’s deliberately controlled life. His once solitary existence soon becomes a circus of interesting characters, he feels responsible for. He must complete the task and keep everyone safe including from himself.
I’m not sure how many authors can take such seemingly random elements and characters and weave them into a fun, twisty roller coaster of a story that makes sense and leaves a reader thirsty for more. Both dark and vividly brilliant, the story was a joy to read.

I always eagerly anticipate the next masterpiece by Mimi and this one was awesome. Great characters, Wonderful chemistry and full of adventures.

IMO this is the best work of Mimi. Not only it is set in the world of Accidental Gods and Immortal Matchmaker series, which I really enjoyed. Damien Greystone as tailor/enforcer of Gods is a very interesting and intriguing figure. He's a total jerk but one who grows on you as the story progresses. I'm looking forward to the next book to see how his dual personality crisis resolves all told with Mimi's trademark humor.

Madcap mayhem and mischief from the very first page - I loved it! Mimi has an amazing imagination, who else could come up with sex fairies, demon love Chihuahuas and nipple hair cookies?! Damien is shaping up to be a great antihero, equally capable at mass homicide and sewing up fairy wings. This book is crazy and completely over the top, but in the best way - and really, don’t we all need a little of that, in our lives, right now?! Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Oh now I love this author and her incredible writing! Her stories never cease to put a smile on my face and given that things have be rather stressful lately, this book was perfect. The Immortal Tailor was everything that I have come to expect from this author when she crafts one of her paranormal fantasies. Always a tad campy (which I love!), her novels are shrouded in mystery, chock full of humor, and contain an endearing thread of romance. Witty banter and a quirky cast of zany characters kept me enthralled with this story from beginning to end. I loved learning all about Damien Greystone, the Immortal Tailor. Of course, there is more to this man than his love of fabrics and stitching the perfect seams. I adored his character and his inner musings often left me in stitches (see what I did there?). With loads of mayhem and supernatural creatures, there is an unfolding mystery and even some suspense which I found entertaining.
If you have enjoyed this author’s Immortal Matchmaker series, then you will be thrilled to be reacquainted with Cimil. Haven’t read that series? No worries as this book is a can be read on its own! Fans the Immortal Matchmaker series, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant series, and Wall Men or basically any of this authors previous works will definitely love this book!

Damien Greystone was the owner of Greystone and Sons. He was the best immortal tailor in L.A. Humans, Gods, demons and other creatures were his customers. Then one day he was visited by Cimil the former Goddess of the Underworld. Since he used to be the best fixer and
supernatural weapons expert, she asked him to do some digging and figure out how to reverse the effects of the blast. His immediate answer was no, he didn't want to go back to his dark days, but Cimil was prepared. If he wanted to save his little love demon he had to do it. His first clue was the woman who was attacked by a fairy. The plan was simple, he was going to find Sky Morales
ask her a few questions, and come back. Unfortunately, nothing went as his planned and he ended up with two love demons, a sex fairy
a vampire, and a ghost. Was it too late to drop everything and go back to living in peace?
This is one of the best paranormal fantasies I have ever read. It's a great mix of dark fantasy/comedy and suspense/mystery. The plot is incredible and captures your attention from the very first page. It starts with the dark comedy and then slowly the mystery and suspense was added. The characters were a very odd bunch. Damien Greystone was the owner of Greystone and Sons. He was the best immortal tailor in L.A. Humans, Gods, demons and other creatures were his customers. Then one day he was visited by Cimil the former Goddess of the Underworld. Since he used to be the best fixer and
supernatural weapons expert, she asked him to do some digging and figure out how to reverse the effects of the blast. His immediate answer was no, he didn't want to go back to his dark days, but Cimil was prepared. If he wanted to save his little love demon he had to do it. His first clue was the woman who was attacked by a fairy. The plan was simple, he was going to find Sky Morales
ask her a few questions, and come back. Unfortunately, nothing went as his planned and he ended up with two love demons, a sex fairy
a vampire, and a ghost. Was it too late to drop everything and go back to living in peace?
This is one of the best paranormal fantasies I have ever read. It's a great mix of dark fantasy/comedy and suspense/mystery. The plot is incredible and captures your attention from the very first page. It starts with the dark comedy and then slowly the mystery and suspense was added. The characters were a very odd bunch. Damien was the brooding jerk who had a secret

Oh i liked this spin off. I was not sure what to expect but it's very interesting and i can't wait to see how it goes.
Damien is cursed and long lived.....with a kind of double personnality ( except the twin is speaking and can take over) if he care for someone or something it dies... so he is doing his best not to care about anyone. At the same time he is very honorable and can't let someone suffer without helping ( still not caring to protect the person). He love sewing so being a tailor fit him and allow him to be in a calm envirronement to control his "twin".
So far so good it lasted hundred of years but now Cimil came with the news that a blast put trouble in the immortal world, some creatures were sent in another dimension, some reverted back to human and gods are missing....since Damien was not always only a tailor he is given the task to find how some creatures survived the blast...as a favor for giving a mate to his demon pet .
Suddenly Damien life is not calm at all..more demon, faeries and humans are crowding his space no matter how many time he demands that they leave but no and he ghost a woman he tried to help and killed by accident just put him in a guilty trip to do more.
Really i loved it bonbon is funny, pet is, curious ..Sky can be determined....really so many twists, tension and then a cliffhanger like the auther is talented for

Not sure at first but got pulled in
I haven't read the Immortal series so didn't realise this was a spin-off, but I have to say that I didn't feel as though I was missing anything so I'd say this can read without having read what came before.
At first, I wasn't convinced by the characters. Damien was intriguing but I didn't like Sky, wasn't over-impressed with MF, not keen on Petra and Bonbon, so wasn't sure that this was going to be a series I'd be interested enough in to carry on. But somewhere along the line, all that changed and as more was revealed about each character, the more invested I got.
Damien was definitely my favourite but his new employee MF was a very close second and I need to see much more of her, though I think she'll end up taking a back seat to the two women now suddenly in his life at the end of the book. I hate love triangles so I hope this isn't where Damien is headed, but I guess I'm going to have to read on and see.

I loved this, what a page turner of humour, curses, murder, mystery, mayhem, madness and quirky immortals it was.
I needed a light hearted, easy to read book and with MJPs unique brand of kookiness to make me smile, the brooding, grumpy but gorgeous Immortal Tailor, Damien and the entourage he is determined to drop, gave me the pick me up I needed!
It wasn't all light and crazy though, there was a wonderfully compelling darker twist and with Goddess Cimil involved, there was always going to be secrets, deceptions and twists galore.
MJP has an incredible imagination beyond comprehension from a mere mortal like me and this new spin off series set in her fabulous Immortal world made me smile..... sex fairies, demon chihuahuas, ghosts, vampires who are not vampires and of course the adorable hot tailor with a dark, dangerous secret.
I loved the suspense, drama, action, heat, the crazy humour and after that ending, what is going to happen to his love life? Can't wait to find out, its going to be a rollercoaster as past and present collide!!

Over the course of his reluctant investigation he gathers a rag tag team of supernatural creatures that are determined to get to the bottom of what is going on.
This was a wild adventure where we learned a little of Damien's background while pursuing the answers as to what is currently going on. This crazy adventure had me hooked as the pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place while setting us as the reader up for what is to come next in this series - which I can not wait to see what is to come next.
Overall, this was a great read that I would recommend to others.

If the warning at the front of this book doesn't capture your interest and have you diving in, I don't know what will. Be warned! Your concept of fairies maybe forever altered. I am always in awe of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's creative imagination and the fantastical creatures she conjures up. Added to that is her offbeat sense of humor. It makes her books so darn much fun to read. This newest addition/spinoff to the Immortal Matchmakers promises to be every bit as entertaining as the original series and Ms Pamfiloff sets up the next book perfectly.

The Immortal Tailor Damien Greystone takes pride in his work working as the tailor for the immortals however he keeps to himself and that’s just the way he likes it.. well he doesn’t really like it but needs must and he needs to keep away from even the slightest bit of affection or like for anyone or he may kill them.. no not actually kill them (well sometimes he does.. long story) you see many many years ago Damien was cursed by a witch his one true love whom he had let down when she needed him most so ever since he has watched all whom he has loved pass away those he lusts over suddenly drop dead and some who his evil twin brother who lives inside him desires to kill (yip long story on that one lol) so it’s better to keep away from any kind of attachment.
Yea life doesn’t always work that way and maybe the curse isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
After being sent on a mission by Cimil (yes the same but not so same goddess since the big boom) which literally turns his world on it’s head with an out come that not even he could predict.
However with a chance at some semblance of happiness and to right a wrong that has left him with guilt he follows Cimil’s requests to help find out why the powers of the immortals have switched since the boom that could lead him down a rabbit whole, for this lonely tailor may end up with more people, ghosts and demons in his life than he could ever have wished for.

Wow what can I say other than I absolutely loved it. The characters where Amazing and I just loved Damien with his split personality with what he likes to call the beast. And a truly great take on the Jekle and hyde we all know so well. Funny characters that will make you laugh and a journey that will put Damien on a whole new adventure. And who can forget the camio appearance with Cimil and her unicorn minky that added a special touch to the story which I just loved. But of cause mimi you've left us with a cliff hanger that draws us in and has us wanting so mush more

Intriguing!
I loved this story! It pulled me in hard and fast! I found myself laughing out loud in places and shaking my head in others lol I've loved everything I've ever read from this author and this book is no different!
I recommend this book if you are looking for a new series to get into, as you won't be able to leave these characters with just one story lol

I really enjoyed this. There was humour, sadness, happiness and a large helping of a sex crazed fairy! Loved Pet and her random tangents (sort of felt like walking into a room for something and not remembering why). I would love Damien to get a happy ending (pun intended) but not sure who it should be with yet. Looking forward to the next instalment.

I enjoyed this humorous story. I like Damien, Sky and the other supernatural beings. The world building is great. There is action, violence and humor. Bonbon is an adorable demon. There are twists in the plot, and a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

What a fun ride this one was. Mimi has done it again.! Another great start to what I am sure will quickly become another favorite story. I really enjoyed the characters and all their antics. I can't wait to see who/what Damien will collect next.

Loved reading the mesmerizing, spellbinding, and engaging paranormal story. When Cimil, the Goddess of War, visits Damien Greystone, the well-known tailor of the immortals, Damien is sent on a mission for Cimil. Damien who has enough trouble with his curse and fighting the best inside of him has his perfectly ordered life become chaotic with MF who used to be a vampire; a sex fairy; a ghost; Bonbon (Damien's demon); Bonbon's mate, Gorgonzolina; Elenore, a were-eagle; and two humans. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written with captivating characters, full of mystery and humor, and riveting must read story. Can't wait to read the next story in series by the fabulous and fantastic author, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff!

This book ead soo much fun. Damien is great and goes through soo much in this book. Cimil is up to her old tricks and no one is immune to them. Cant wait to see what is in store for Damien and his crew in the next book.

Have I told you how much I hate love triangles, and Mimi had to go and make things all complicated. Ugh, and I like it. It's very much the crazy gods and outrageous hijinks that you know and love but instead of each book being about a different character is all centered around Damien Greystone, the Immortal Tailor, and is demon chihuahuas, no actual demons, and a sex fairy and ex-vampire seamstress.
This book made me sad, not because it was a sad book but it made me miss my chihuahua, my lil lily crossed the rainbow bridge last year and i don't know if it was because i forgot to take my anti-depressant or what but Bonbon and Gorganzola had me missing my furbaby.
Otherwise it was a fun and quick read.
