Bride: A Dark Billionaire Arranged Marriage Romance is an arranged marriage, super sexy, filthy smutty read with a twist.
Sara Fields is the best at erotic scenes! I’d say she’s my top 3 if not main go to erotic/kinky author with the BEST orgasm scenes.
This is smut at its best. I love orgasm denial sex scenes, so the teasing was perfect for me. It somehow seems to be impossibly difficult to get the edging aspect of sex in a romance novel.
Dr. Zoe Parker is a brilliant mind who has a meeting with Grayson Asher, a powerful billionaire. Right away the kink starts.

Dr. Zoe Parker is an intelligent ferocious, savvy businesswomen who came to meet with Grayson Asher a billionaire. He attempts to get her to sell her company but she refuses which sets off a chain reaction. He announces she will become his bride and from that point on she never leaves his building and her phone is rerouted to his personal when she calls for help. She soon learns that when she disobeys him there will be consequences which include spankings,humiliation and his domination. She also discovers he has ties to legal and illegal businesses. Why he is so obsessed with her. Over time even if she knows she needs to get away her body likes what he is doing to her, she is enjoying the pain even the humiliation with being exposed where others can see and hear her.
I have to say I wasn't sure about this book at first and I'm still not. I didn't really like Asher but he grew on me by the end and Zoe I wished they would of wrote more of a story for her other than her just being taken by Asher almost the entire book.
This book was definitely mostly kink so if that is what you are looking for this book is for you. Not my cup of tea. There is a TON of spanking. Almost more then the sex. She is way into pain and she just blindly goes with him. He just takes over everything. Oh well. I will give it 3 just because she warned you it was going to be that way.

Not everyone’s cup of tea
I’ll be honest, the cover of this book drew me in. I had never read this author before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This book is heavy on the kink. Like, VERY heavy. Literally every single page is spanking. Honestly, it got old.
Dr. Zoe Parker is a scientist on the verge of a pharmaceutical breakthrough. Greyson Asher wants to buy her company and arranged a business meeting to discuss the terms, only Zoe refuses to sell….and that is where everything begins.
The writing seems a little amateur and ridiculous. I like a good forced marriage story, but I was laughing out loud a bit at how cheesy this one was. And if I heard his junk referred to as an “iron spike” again I was going to smash my screen. The repetitiveness of some words was extremely annoying.
I am one to always finish a book, no matter how awful it is, I just read it a lot slower. There were some days I didn’t want to pick this book up because I was annoyed. Each chapter was the same over and over until maybe the next to last one where a twist happened, although predictable it was a nice reprieve to the storyline.
⭐️⭐️ Two and a half stars rounded down. It just wasn’t for me. I don’t mind kink and I love dark romance (see my other reviews) but the repetitive, cheesy storyline ruined it for me.

Sara Fields' books fall into 2 categories for me: "that was one of the worse books I've ever read" or "that was better than I thought it would be." This belongs in the latter because A) The MMC doesn't rape the MFC; B) He respects her intelligence and supports her work; and C) I appreciate the narrative's take on the unconscionable cost of insulin.
And, uhm, yes, I read and understood the synopsis; my critical thinking skills are actually quite good, thank you.

Dr. Zoe Parker certainly didn’t expect to Grayson Asher wanting to buy her company. She certainly didn’t think he wanted anything to do with her. But he wanted her and he planned to have her, even to be his bride. Grayson is strict but fair. He knows what he wants and he isn’t going to take no for an answer. I have to say when you first start reading it, you think that there is something seriously off with this man. He was arrogant and demanding. But you learn about Grayson as you read on. You learn about Zoe Parker’s past as well. Her past is the important point in this story. The way Grayson dominates and unlocks her desires and kink is shocking to Zoe and boy is it. The fact he doesn’t take NO for an answer, WOW. The story is hot and just keeps going. I also liked that Grayson didn’t like Zoe putting herself down. He saw that she was smart, beautiful, and sexy. Zoe just didn’t see it in herself. But he always told her so and boy wouldn’t we all want to hear that all the time. It all seems to be a sweet ending but then something surprising happens. I am not going to give it away. But there is a rescue. I was on the edge till the end, a bit soar too.

I tried to keep going, but just can't. I knew in chapter 1 that I was going to not finish, so I'm kinda impressed that I made it that far.
The idea here was exactly what I look for in books. Unfortunately, the writing wasn't good. It was very immature, like a child with no experience in the sexual realm was writing it. These are supposed to be a mob leader and a doctor, yet they keep saying "bottom hole"? Just none of it worked for me. It surprised me to see that this author has lots of books out, and I found that I already had one of hers checked out in KU, so I hope this book was the exception to her writing, and not the rule.

Not Believable
I wanted to like this book. I’m not against junk or dark situations but this has some absurd moments. Where was security or guards for a billionaire wife? She is renowned in the medical field how would she just disappear and no one thinks it’s weird? There was no lead up or build up. The word backstory doesn’t make sense. The cruelty expressed just seemed to be just that cruel. No aftercare and just humiliation.

This started right off with brilliant scientist and businesswoman, Zoe meeting with billionaire business czar Grayson Asher. He propositions her to buy her company, she refuses but never gets to leave him again. Zoe is held captive, forced into marriage and is now Mrs. Asher. Grayson lets her in on his reasons for doing everything little by little. It comes down to him being a posessive alphahole that is secretly protecting her while satisfying his obsession for her. Although Grayson wasn't my idea of a caring partner, Zoe didn't have many convincing arguments against his treatment of her. Zoe grew to like his domination and punishments along with his fierce control of her. There's plenty of sex, punishments, humiliation and a smattering of real concern for Zoe for her to keep hoping there could be something between them. Yes, there is a satisfying HEA in the end.

First time I have read a book from this author. This was probably one of the darker romance books I have read. There are some triggers, so I am sure that this will not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is dark, dirty, intense, steamy and rough! The story had me glued to my kindle Zoe was forced to do something she didn’t want to do. Asher had been obsessed with Zoe for years. If you like dark and twisted, then you will enjoy this book. I look forward to reading more from this author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The couple in this book is Zoe Parker and Grayson Asher. This is a billionaire romance with a mafia twist. Zoe Parker is a scientist who is developing a solution for the insulin shortage, while Grayson Asher is considering buying her company. It was an instant love relationship once you break the ice per se. In my opinion, the couple did not lack intimacy. However, there was not much dialogue outside of steam for the relationship to be substantial.
In this book, the plot was 10% of the book. The plot was not explained until more than 60% of the book was completed. There was potential for more plot. It was built up. However, it was not delivered. The quality of the plot scenes was so fast. I blinked and we are back into steam. There is 12 chapters with an epilogue. This is a one point of view book, Zoe Parker’s.
The "romance" scenes were drawn out and redundant. However, they are more dark. It covers about 90% of the book. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes. The male character can only threaten his belt so many times before it becomes just a filler phrase. The scenes towards the end of the book did not lack intimacy versus the scenes at the beginning.
The ending of the book tied the book together and the character's conflicts were address with some plot holes.
With that being said, I give the book a 1 out of 5. It just lacked a substantial plot. This will be my last review of Sara Fields for a while due to the quality of this book.

I do not like mafia stories! I don't want anything to do with them. I refuse to read them. No where in the blurb was reference made to mafia or cartels. The warnings that were there, I am okay with. But bring in that criminal aspect, and I am done. Therefore, this book hit my 'didn't finish' list.

STORY:
This wasn’t a hardcore in-depth story, but I so much enjoy Bride. Ok, so to start, the first few chapters, the anticipation/build up was good for me. Zoe has a meeting with this Billionaire who she thought wanted her company. We know nothing, us the reader and Zoe, the main female character, and this is a part of the mystery and build up. Things are getting crazy in that office as Grayson becomes rough and commanding, taking what he wants, and in said meeting forces Zoe to the wedding for her on said day. In some scenes, would have loved Grayson’s POV, however, it was good not having His POV, because that was a part of the allure and mystery of why he is doing what he is doing to Zoe. In the beginning, Grayson came off intense, a bit rough….mmmmmm maybe medium rough, depending on the individual and what they consider rough. Zoe would flip in between from weak and strong giving me coy weak with sex but snapping out of it when she realizes now and then her circumstances. I thought she accepted the mystery behind all that was happening to her too easy once explained.
Overall, in regard to the story, I found myself entertained and invested. This author for me, she gives you rough and commanding mix with a little dark intensity with her men and women who cave in easily to their demands and I find myself enjoying them.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
Sex scenes were good for me. It had in the beginning some non con, then it had some spanking, roughness mix with intensity. If you are familiar with this author, you know what to expect with her sex scenes. It always has a Dom/sub relationship infused. For this one though, although Zoe refer to Grayson as Sir, it felt a tiny bit as a Daddy Dom read, only a tiny bit if you are familiar.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
There isn’t anyone who really that stood out with the hopes of a next book. Although this would make a good series with a similar theme.

A good and quick read, intense intimacy scenes and good plot anticipation for my personal preference.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Zoe successful, smart (for all appearances) taking a business meeting resulting in her being kidnapped and held captive (still unsure how that happened) Grayson met her when he took a business meeting with her trying to convince her to sell of course she refused setting off, a reaction she didn’t expect, he wouldn’t let her leave his building, rerouting all her personal calls to his phone (again unsure how that happened), informing her she will marry him (again not asking demanding it). He demands obedience when he doesn’t get it resorts to humiliation (especially with her being a businesswoman …why wasn’t she missed), spankings and such. He is a man with his hands in legal and illegal business. I guess an issue is he demanded respect from everyone especially her, yet he never really demands his staff or anyone else for that matter treat her with respect and humiliating her in front of others didn’t help. He was controlling to a point where it become annoying why was he so obsessed with her and why didn’t she fight like hell for her freedom …I mean being this smart, educated, women. I love dark but not so much when she has worked hard to have her business and to have it ripped away and then humiliated repeatedly guess I was expecting her to be stronger, him to at least respect her, and love her but it was a controlling obsession. But then again that is what make this a dark one thing I would have like to see in this is love and chemistry. Now with that being said I am not taking from this because the title said it best but I am still unsure about this one I like the author so yes I expected it and no I didn’t expect it but this is basically entertaining smut and if our female loves it then why can’t we bottom line she is happy.

Right, so I had not known what I was getting into with this one, my bad. Turns out it's a noncon romance with, I guess, some sort of arranged marriage plot? I never quite grasped how this worked as a plot because I dipped at Chapter 3 when the heroine helpfully summarized the scene that had just concluded.

This MMC is presumably perfect for a noncon romance in a 'you don't get to say no! Also I've kidnapped you' sorta way, but I found him more like a horror villain channeling H.H. Holmes in his fancy personalized trap-building, except with rape instead of murder.
This FMC seems to have a cripplingly sense of personal inferiority, which is apparently to balance her having completed her medical degree and residency program and started a thriving, important business by the age of twenty-four. I did like how she immediately tried to call the police, but see again fancy personalized trap-building.
I gotta start leaving instantly when I find a first-person perspective narrative. That shit was painful.

What a fascinating read by Sara Fields. She has given us a glimpse into how a uncompromising relationship can work. This book jumped right into action with
little build-up. Despite this,I was intrigued by Asher and Zoe’s story and what led to Zoe being held captive and forced into marriage. A marriage she did not want. She was trapped. Held against her will. Punished when she resisted. Her mind screamed no, but her body betrayed her as Asher played her like a violin. Pain became pleasure. She yearned for more. Asher had Zoe in his sights for year's. He was dark and menacing. A preditor sizing up his prey. He was obsessed with Zoe. He wanted to possess her. Own her. He was such a complex man and how I enjoyed getting inside his head..
This was one hot as hell forage into an unconventional relationship with chemistry that was that was explosive.A relationship that was sinfully twisted. Expect heart stopping scenes that will take your breath away. It includes elements of non-consensual sex. Forced submission with harsh punishments. It was steamy, dark, and oh so good. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was captivated from start to finish. Another home run by this talented author.

This was one hot as hell forage into an unconventional relationship with chemistry that was that was explosive.A relationship that was sinfully twisted. Expect heart stopping scenes that will take your breath away. It includes elements of non-consensual sex. Forced submission with harsh punishments. It was steamy, dark, and oh so good. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was captivated from start to finish. Another home run by this talented author.

Easy spicy read
Dr Zoe Parker is a brilliant scientist on the cusp of a game changer pharmaceutical development. She attends a meeting with billionaire business man Grayson Asher with the understanding he is interested in buying her company- which she’s not interested in selling.
So this was an interesting set up to the story I just wished we got more back story, and further exploration of them and their individual stories. This is my own personal expectation of wanting to get more out of stories these days.
Grayson is gorgeous, mysterious, all alpha with a soft spot for his Zoe. We’re led to believe Zoe is smart so her being forced into this marriage seems unbelievable. There are some genuine romantic moments between this couple but the dub con is always a fine line to walk.
If you’ve read and enjoyed this author’s work in the past- it follows that same forced relationship, female submits, male dominates- they both get off on it story line. Combine this with kinks - spanking, humiliation, threats of public nudity/public sex acts/public spanking well you get my gist.
This story is designed to satisfy a certain itch, and it will tick the appropriate box for a lot of readers if you’re after a read with this kink.

This book will not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s very dark and harsh BDSM and it has non consensual sex even though she enjoyed it but that is going to be a big trigger for some and being forced to marry him as well, but once you get over that the book is hot and dirty. Zoe is a smart scientist and business owner that goes for a meeting with Grayson Asher and at that meeting Grayson Asher wants her company but she refuses and so he holds her captive and she is forced to marry him now he has control over her and her company. Zoe is shocked at his dominance of her and taking what he wants but she is even more shocked that she likes his control and punishments and finds herself falling in love with him. Grayson Asher has wanted Zoe for a long time and now that he has her as his wife and her company he do what he wants, sometimes he is cruel and abussive and treats her badly as does his people but through it all she hopes he will fall in love with her, but is he capable of this emotion at all. Read this book to find out but be warned it has triggers that will upset some.

I loved this book the story and characters were amazing. This author Sara Fields knows how to tell the stories that stops you from doing anything other than turning the pages. Could have been amazing

The first 50% was full in and intense it had me panting and anxious to see where this story was going and at this stage I was loving it and thinking that this must be the first book in a series! But a few things were bothering me like the repeated words to describe Zoe and how the author would use the word bottom and bottom hole but every other words describing their anatomy was explicit. Then the story didn’t develop any further we weren’t introduced to any part of his close confidants the ones that keep his secrets and kept the MC safe in the legal area and the not so legal stuff. The epilogue was nothing but a continuation of the chapter before so after halfway the story got boring and repetitive which was extremely disappointing as this book had so much potential.

Dr. Zoe Parker's mother died because she couldn't afford her medication, so Zoe is putting her education to use to develop an affordable version of that medication. She is at Asher Enterprises for a meeting that she assumes will be an effort to take her company from her. Greyson Asher does want something from Zoe, but it isn't her company. He has every intention of making her his wife, and he won't take no for an answer.
Wonderful characters that are well written and definitely fascinating. Deliciously carnal dark romance with a happily ever after. I loved it! A quick warning though, if you aren't into spankings, rough sex, and D/s this book probably isn't for you.

Twisty dark tale.
Dark, dark, and dark that really is the only word to describe this book It starts with a business man who wants a Dr.’s company when she refused let just say he did not take no for an answer. Now the author wrote in a way to make the reader believe that our lady was somewhat okay with it all. This I found hard to believe. Grayson is a very cruel character I cannot say I understand Zoe but I know people who are like this character. It was an interesting book and did not take long to read. I have a few friends that would enjoy this book most of my friends would not for me it was disturbing but well-written.
