This is a more serious tale than my average book in this genre. It was not even the tale itself but the narrative style that added an extra layer of gravity to the sequence of events - to the extent I imagined the lead protagonist to be older than fifty and realised I missed the cue of her actual age in the beginning somewhere. That said, there is a happily-ever-after at the end of it, which basically ensures that it will be appreciated by people who like that sort of content.
Annie was so used to being solely a wife and homemaker that she feels lost more than a year after her husband's passing for more than any singular reason. She did not groom her interests or passions over the years, and now she does not know what to do with her time.
It begins with a thought and with an encouraging friend, as well as a chance encounter with an old schoolmate with whom a relationship did not pan out because of school teasing (this was the first time I saw this in fiction. Lately, I only read about people egging others into relationships. When I was in school, you could not be friends with the opposite gender without someone making weird noises, and the conversations also eventually stopped if neither could weather the teasing). Annie is a trained dancer, and she wants to start teaching. She starts to think about her plan, and slowly, very realistically, things start to pan out.
I liked the overall arc of the plot. There is a very simple progression in the story, even if the misunderstandings took a while to clear up.
I would recommend this book to others who read a lot of this genre and are always on the lookout for something different.

Rhythms of the Heart is a lovely book about following your heart, finding yourself and even when you think you have lost all that is important and precious in life finding the courage to start over again
Annie is a widow, who has lost the love of her life and now she must find it in herself to stand on her her own and be independent again. Harry comes in to her life suddenly. A blast from the past, her crush from school, nothing ever materialized of their first dance and awkward first kiss then and now Annie has run into him again. But will she friend zone him this time around?
Harry seems lost and weighted down with his own problems but when Annie comes up with the idea of starting a dance class he comes to her rescue, helping her find just the right venue. There is something between the two of them, but circumstances are never right and then Annie starts dating again. It seems to Harry that he has lost her forever. Moreover there is a secret from his past that haunts him all the times and he is ridden with guilt never truly able to let go of the past even while he is falling hard for Annie. And as for Annie herself while she is on her journey to independence will she be able to see what is right in front of her or will she miss out the opportunity for true love?
Annie is a determined woman and ones heart goes out to her. Harry is flawed but brave and is resolved to find a place for himself in Annie's heart. All the other supporting characters too have been beautifully highlighted.Read this book for the wonderful story that flows at a gentle pace. There is no great mystery or thrills but its a gentle, engrossing romance with an engaging storyline that makes you want to keep reading.

This was my first experience reading something from this author and it surely won't be my last.
It's a heartwarming tale of fresh starts and learning to move forward. The characters were all likable and well-developed with realistic qualities and you can't help but fall in love with them. The author did a really nice job of bringing the story and characters to life with her vivid descriptions and attention to details.
This was a sweet story, full of heart and left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling afterwards and I had a really nice time reading it. The story was beautifully written and very entertaining. I would definitely like to read more by this author. Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining book and I am glad to have had the opportunity to read it.

This book gave off I’m the cool mom vibes, she is trying really hard to get her kids to like her and there is something off about it.
It was a quick easy read but I found myself rolling my eyes every now and then with how cheesy it was. I wish the author would have shown the reader more rather then telling the reader.
It was also much deeper then I would have expected from the cover. I expected a fun and flirty read but there was some heart break thrown in and it threw me for a loop.

A sweet and heart warming story that made me smile and root for the characters. It's about new beginnings, moving on and loved it.
It's the first i read by this author and won't surely be the last.
