Well written, nice storyline but the plot lacked a bit. Characters are well defined but they could have more chemistry and sparks between them. It was difficult to get into the story. Took a while but succeeded in the end. A HEA is always a good ending but there were some confusing places on the road to it.
I liked the storyline and the characters in spite they lacked a bit of personality.
Enjoyable and entertaining read.

This is an amazing storyline that flows smoothly from beginning to the end. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is off the charts. I loved tha hot alpha male and the sexy and sassy female that keeps him on his toes. I love this authors writing.

I enjoyed this story. It was short and Emily and Ryan were great characters.

Emily writes romance novels. She has a deadline for a new book and her editor/agent is pushing her to get her next novel done. For inspiration, she accepts a date from a handsome, charming guy that seems like the perfect man.

Ryan sees his brother out with a beautiful redhead. He knows that his brother is a liar and a cheater, and feels that he needs to warn the curvy hottie. After looking into her eyes and talking to Emily, he decides that he needs to keep her as his own.

There is some angst, after all Emily is dating Ryan's brother when they meet, but it gets resolved. The ending was good, but I wish there had been an epilogue. I recommend reading this book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Emily, a writer and Ryan. Emily hears from a fan of her writing and at first is flattered by Jared. Jared seems like the perfect man, but his brother Ryan tries to tell emily what Jared is really like. Ryan is attracted to Emily and he thinks he wants to be with her, but Emily is unsure who to trust. Emily liked Ryan, but Jared tells her Ryan is not a good guy and can't be trusted. Emily must decide who to trust and who she wants to be with. I liked this book, i liked Emily. I felt there was something about Jared from the beginning and i thought Ryan only wanted Emily to get back at Jared at first. My thoughts on Ryan changed the more i read and i felt he really liked Emily, good one.

This was my first read by Tilly Pope.
The book just popped out as I was looking for a short read to fill my waiting. I was gladly surprised.
Loved Ryan and Emily, as much as I despised Jared from the start. The only thing holding me back to give it 5 stars is maybe the reason I picked it in the first time, its quickness. I mean, I was looking for a book fast and easy to read, but at the same time, I'd rather there were a more elaborate transition for Ryan and Em's relationship. The way they end together, was just too sudden. I enjoyed the reading all the same, I'll look for more books by this author whenever I'd need a book to go through waiting rooms :)

An amazing intriguing read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A lot happened in this book and is guaranteed to keep you invested until the end with the twists and turns, kidnapping, suspense, and crazy behaviour. The story line is consistent, engaging, well-developed, witty, and emotionally deep. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is off the charts. The end is a good one; however an epilogue would have tied it up even better. Definitely recommended.

Emily is a romance writer who has no romance in her life. Ignoreing the red flags she was feeling when she was around Jarred because he was not her typical type.

Ryan is a lawyer and Jarred's brother who knows how his brother really is. Ryan and Emily are drawn to each other as their path continues to cross.

This story will keep you turning the page as you read Emily's journey.

This book focuses on Emily, a romance writer, who accepts a date with Jared, who is a fan, but she notices his questionable and has to obtain a restraining order. Ryan, an attorney and Jared’s estranged brother (Jared slept with Ryan’s ex-fiancé), agrees to help Emily as they feel mutual attraction to each other and eventually end up dating. This book has great characters and a unique plot loaded with family dysfunction, suspense, and sizzling attraction and romance.

2.5 stars This book ended with it feeling unfinished. The h also spent more time with the psycho brother than she did with the H. The author expects us to believe they love each other by the end of the story when they have spent barely any time together. There just wasn't any foundation or relationship building between them. It was all focused on the psycho brother. The h also does something incredibly stupid which put herself in danger. That just ticks me off to no end when author's make normally intelligent woman make really stupid choices just to further the storyline.

This book started a little slow, but definitely developed into something more. Like that the main character stuck with her instincts most of the time. Have to say she was both brave and naive at times, but am glad she was able to be strong and help herself with the guidance of friends and those who care about her. Nice ending for this short novella.

I couldnt put my finger on this one. I couldnt exactly say that this is an OTT insta love. I mean MCs met when the h was on a date. Thete was attraction, but not that instant and explosive. After a while, the attraction wer bult up, but I still didnt feel the chemistry.

The characters and plot were okay, but somehow it was bit off. I was undecided, and still am now. The smuttyness was okay. The plot was okay. The characters' motives were confusing and off. So, 2.5 stars, perhaps?!

This is a short exciting romance. The characters are fabulous. Ryan is the dominant alpha male that protects his woman. Emily is the feisty heroine. They have an instant attraction. Can Ryan keep Emily safe from his brother?

I did not like this book. The characters were okay. The story line was unclear. Emily seemed rather naïve for a romance writer. She was making poor choices throughout the story. The relationship between Ryan and Jared was muddled and the reason for their discord was sub par.

Emily finds herself with an obsessed fan whose admiration goes awry. In swoops Ryan, who also admires Emily but in a healthier manner for her. He admires the whole woman not just the writer and her fictional characters. This story goes on a bit of a wild ride but the results are worth it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
