Romantic and yet hot. I really liked it. My only complaint is that it could have easily been fleshed out into a longer story. I loved these characters.

Normally I don't rate a book this low especially one that I some what liked, but there was so much missing that could have made this story so much better. There was no character development, there could have been so much she could have done leading up to the event and after. I was just left feeling disappointed with the shortness of this story. For me personally I would want to revisit this story and add to it at some point.

This was not bad, I guess, but for me, it wasn’t good either. It was somehow both too much and not enough at the same time.
The author was using all this bombastic, flowery language to describe the emotions and incredible depth of an experience, but it felt insincere. I didn’t believe it. Partly, that was because the whole story was short, which necessitated a rush on the development of feels. But I’ve read other short stories when the emotional beats still hit home better than these ones did.
I did like how Annika called the guy sweetheart, instead of some of the more common femdom monikers that denote ownership more than connection. That was a nice shift to the norm. I did not like the whole “undress me with no hands” game. Why is this such a common low fruit scene-starter for bdsm? If anyone were to try doing this is real life, it would be the least sexy thing in ever. Pulling down a zipper with teeth? Ok, sure. Removing a freaking woman's blouse with your teeth?! Dude. He’d look like a seal doing tricks at a zoo. And now you have spit all over your clothes. Hot.
To boil it down, I liked the setup. The characters weren’t bad but were pretty shallow and nothing special. And the build up and sex scene mostly felt like being promised that amazing things were happening, but the actions described on page more of what a high schooler would imagine to be “amazing”. Giant dick that he’s never before felt go so deep into a woman’s vagina, included.
Also, this guy gasped and blushed over absolutely everything Annika said.

When Ben isn't being a big, intimidating security guard he is a high level accountant. Can these two be exactly what the other is looking for?
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical on this on. If you've been on this page long I read a lot of romance and a lot of smut. No big surprise there, but, my page is all alpha male and different, yet ultimately submissive, females. I'm a bratty sub so that makes sense for me. This book was the opposite of that, and yet it was good. It was nice to step out of that comfort zone of what I personally enjoy to see something new.
In this book we have a woman who is low man on the totem at work and always being bossed around, so she wants to boss around at home. Then a man who is top of the food chain at work and wants to have decisions made for him at home. Match made in heaven.

I found the book interesting. I love this genre and I haven't had the opportunity to meet a female dominant character, a female predator. It was a bit funny to me as I read how an alpha male blushes, falls to his knees without a word, etc. It is not a bad book, although it is very short, it can be read.

On his knees is a well written quick and short story with mixture of sweetness and spice. Its perfect for a laid-back afternoon read. The story build, the anticipation, the choice of words everything was chefs kiss🤌. It was very exhilarating to read. Though it was a fast read it had some awesome moments where i was squealing like little girl. The chemistry between Annika and Ben was 🔥🔥
Annika(domme) is a confident girl who is tired of pretending to be someone she isn't and has sworn of dating because she hasn't found a man yet who would be willing to be on his knees for her.
Ben(sub) is a handsome man (charming✨) with a strong build which leads people to believe him to be a dominant whereas he is a submissive in his heart . But he has never felt safe or accepted enough to express his submissive side.
Its my first read in the domme area and of this author's as well. I'm very satisfied with her writing. I would highly recommend others to read this novella.

I’ve read a few books with a female domme and this one did not disappoint. I went into this knowing it was a novella and not expecting a lot, but I thought Trovao/Hurricane did a great job fleshing out both main characters in the short amount of time. I really liked how she had them meet and their initial interactions. It was interesting and not your typical bar-meet which was a plus. Ben’s vulnerability in showing his submissive side for the first time when he is always perceived as the opposite was wonderful and worked well with Annika’s soft domme persona.
I would love to see this a full length novel because the dynamic between these two works so well and there is so much more that can be explored with them. Plus, there are not enough books with fem dommes. But it works perfectly for what it is – a quick, steamy read.

February 13, 2024i haven't really ventured into femdom yet, this is my first foray, i wanted something quick to see what it was like. it promised a gentle femdom erotic romance novella, and yeah it delivered. i guess what it taught me was that it was way too quick for me, like i needed more development so i know that about myself now. i did like the characters, i thought if they were fleshed out and i got them over the course of a full novel, i would enjoy it. there was a bit of repetition, the way it was written, i noticed a lot of writing crutches,it was like okay i get it, say something different. it wasn't bad by any means, it does what it says, if you want something quick, it works i guess. just not for me, i was left unsatisfied, like i didn't know the characters, and that's a big deal for me.

I had a hard time deciding the rating for this book. On the one hand, I enjoyed it and would reread it, but on the other, it felt like there could have been more. All in all it felt very anticlimactic. I feel like the characters were missing depth, but at the same time they had such good chemistry together. The book just felt like it moved too fast and I was left feeling like I was missing something. The writing was great, but I just felt like there could have been more to the story and I would have loved to see a longer version with more development to their relationship.

I liked it. The love scene was steamy enough to keep me entertained but there was just something missing. The characters could have been developed more. I understand that this is a novella, but I still wanted more.
I feel that this could have worked better as a full length novel. The chemistry between the characters was there but still, they only knew each other for an afternoon.
No spelling mistakes, but I still feel like it could be longer and the characters romance drawn out more than just one love scene and one day.

Such a fun read! I don’t need it to be longer (the ending is really sweet) but I do want it to be longer. The book takes place over the span of a single night. I think the story was told the way it needed to be but it definitely left me wanting more. What happened next? What does their relationship look like? Please go on to make a longer full-length novel! I loved the book from start to end- very cute, very hot, very fun. Finished it all in one sitting bc I couldn’t put it down. Would re-read.

This was an extremely well-written and sweet femdom short. I enjoyed the gentle-femdom slant, as I feel that side of the D/s dynamic is often overlooked in erotic fiction. I think it would have been 5 stars if we'd been given Ben's POV as I feel the erotic scenes were missing his perspective. And of course, I wish it was longer!

This was an adorable soft femdom romance. Despite the short length, both characters had amazing chemistry and fit perfectly. Ben is so adorable, you can’t help but want to snuggle him. And Anikka is dealing with an unfortunately common problem, finding a strong submissive man who wants a relationship.

This book is a very quick read, with a refreshing change of having a female dominant. It’s great that it the story hinted to nuance of the first meet of D/s dynamics. Written with just enough world building and descriptions, a fun plot, and an HEA.

I liked the idea behind this story and I like the characters. I found that at times it was hard to read as the flow of the dialogue was a bit disjointed and stiff. With some work, I think this short story has great potential!

Great story
I enjoyed how the aspects of control happened both in and out of the bedroom. The natural command that Annika had was lovely to read. And I adored that Ben was a big, strong, confident man comfortable enough in himself to be honest about his desire to submit and please his partner. Would love another story like this.

I read this because I had been looking for a good Domme/Sub book. It was short, and my attention span was not healthy at the moment, so I thought I'd give this a try. I didn't expect it to be so damn cute. The flirting was adorable. Annika was assertive without coming off bitchy or stand offish and Ben was adorable with how he approached her.

this was actually such a lovely little story. annika is a really great character and ben is just so sweet. my only complaint is that this was tragically short (around 60 kindle pages) and it absolutely could have (should have!) been longer.

A short soft fem dom kink novella. I love the chemistry of Annika and Ben. I wanted more. The spice was great, the banter was great, everything was great, but it ended too soon. I need a full book with these two.

I was looking forward to this book, as the blurb was promising.
In the end I felt a bit disappointed.
The FMC came across as somewhat childish, and her supposed dominance felt forced, almost as if she wanted to project authority but never fully managed to carry it through.
