“Fated mates is a dumb concept.” That’s what Wadyn has always thought, especially after finding out that his father confirmed his worst suspicions. The most obsessive and cockiest Alphas he knows in the village has his eyes set on him and he will never give up. He knows that the younger Omega is his predestined mate and dreams of building a life with him. But Wadyn doesn’t want a family. He’s only 19 and pictures himself living on the continent, with fast cars and fancy pubs decorating his life. It doesn’t matter that he does feel something for Yanric, him being mouthwateringly hot and sexy as hell. Nothing will ever happen between the two of them. After all, they are so different. Nothing will… except the time that they are forced together and end up sharing a kiss. It’s them they discover that being different only means that their attraction is stronger than all the obstacles. “Omega on the Run” is a fast-paced, steamy romance with a possessive Alpha that will do anything to claim his Omega. HEA guaranteed.
Steamy MM stories, baby! Michael Levi can’t go a day without sitting down and putting into words all the dirty scenes that sprout up in his mind. His collection is diverse, but it’s gay love only. And if you are looking for something free, check out his mailing list. Warning: it can be extra spicy.
When Michael Levi isn’t writing, he’s chilling out by a lake close to his house. Nothing better than to kick back with a martini in his hand as he daydreams his next explicit scenes.
Yanric knows that Wadyn is his fated mate, but Wadyn doesn't believe in them. Wadyn also wants to leave the island their villages are on and move to the nearby continent to live and experience everything the rest of the world has to offer. While Yanric wants to continue to live his life on the island. When Wadyn gets seriously injured they have a lot of time to finally talk and make some hard decisions.
This is a short story that is a typical big city vs country type of storyline. The characters were okay. I sympathized with Yanric a lot more, because it seemed like he was putting all the hard work into their relationship and Wadyn was always running away, but I didn't feel close to the characters at all. I think partly because the story was so short. It's a cute story and good for a quick read.
I have no idea why Yanric was chasing Wadyn in the beginning. Something to do with Wadyn’s dad telling him Yanric was his fated mate. How on earth the dad knew wasn’t ever explained. I also disliked Yanric. He was just set on manipulating Wadyn to be his the whole time, and then gave up super easily when things weren’t turning out exactly how he wanted. Then suddenly there was a weird time jump and they were moved. So much wasted potential. The author could have really developed their relationship more instead during the trip.
I stuck with it to the end, but... It's not finished. The whole thing feels clunky and scattered and it needs to be expanded and developed to be an actual story. The concept is there, but that's about it.
I was excited by the title so I had to grab this book, Omega on The Run. I thought there would be more resistance by the omega. But nope it wasn't like that at all. So I was a bit disappointed.
