So far i am on page 224 of Turn Four. This book is about a Guy by the name of Chance. He is a professional race car driver for NASCAR's cup series. The point im at in the book is where Chance was flying into Charolette to see his dad in the hospital when his chopper hit power lines and then crashed severing his retina in his eye making him blind in one eye. He didnt reallize this problem untill he was racing and got a bunch of different little dots in his eyes and he didnt realize it was anything important so he never told his doctor till two weeks later. Now that he cant race due to his eye he takes over as the teams high spotter and also helps out fellow teamate Lyle Danford aka LD. he helps get his kids on the teams and helps LD with the problems his kids have by getting them on the team of the race cars.
This book is one reall good book o its not the worst book ive read and its really intreaging to read but if you read this book get ready to read script from the bible because it uses these words to teach many people about life and how to live by these words. The book has many real descriptions of the modern day racing events and how they are run behind the scenes. This book is a real life expectation and idea grabber to the reader but not to me this is from the author.
Before he even had his drivers license Chance Reynolds was racing and winning. He worked his way up the ranks from go carts all the way up to NASCARS sprint cup series. When he becomes riddled with doubts and questions Chance delves in to the bible to find his answers and a clear path threw life.

Once again Tom Morrisey impressed me with an amazing story about faith, adventure, courage, and life. Unlike the last book I read by him In High Places I couldn't relate to the characters and what they were going through because I don't race cars! Even though I couldn't understand that part of the story well I could understand everything else which made this story engaging and fun to read!
Chance is a race car driver, has been since he was very little. He moved through all the levels of racing until he got into the Nextel Cup. He was a very promising young driver, newly wed (and soon to be a father) when it happened. What is the worst thing that can happen to a driver? A crash. It wasn't a car crash, it happened in a helicopter. He escaped seemingly unscathed until his eye started hurting, he had torn a retina. An injury like that took him out of driving so he started to preach, something he loves!
What would you do if you had to choose between your passions? Chance had to choose between preaching and racing... Does he "quit on God" or does he make himself financially stable? Find out in Turn Four by Tom Morrisey.
Just the kind of book to throw a twist to all my friends who think I'm an intellectual nerd. I love Nascar. This book is even set in my home region. The main character drives w/in 1/2 mile of my home? How could I not like it?
The story was good but the ending was a little abrupt. I still had lots of questions with about 4 pages left. Everything was answered but it could have been handled a little more tactically.
