Fear, Trust & Values: The Power of Choice

Rate this book
ARE YOU AFRAID OF FAILURE?
DOES YOUR JOB KEEP YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT?
HAVE YOU STOPPED SEEING THE BIG PICTURE?

So many of us find that fear drives our decision making. What’s even worse is that we feel shame because we have lost control and guilt because our potential is being squandered. We act to avoid losing our jobs, positions in the community, partners or homes, but it seldom leads to the best choices; you know that you are not achieving all that you could and should achieve, but what can you do?

Take a deep breath – there is a solution. We can use fear as a positive, moving towards value-based decision making and building trusting professional relationships. Careful choices and simple actions can make a huge difference. Control and confidence can be yours again.

Annemieke Hartman Jemmett has had a long career as a successful Director, yet she also knows how it feels to be caught in the vortex – sucked into the need to have a bigger job, a bigger house, larger than life living. She understands that path means compromising your values – and without them, how can you succeed?

Now Annemieke helps and supports people in the workplace as they take back control. With her coaching and advice, you can focus on realising your potential, enjoying life more and reducing the fear you experience. The path is already there for you.

Understand your fear , build trust and commit to your values .

I enjoyed the content of the book AND I liked the author's personal stories to illustrate - however I don't feel I get enough of one or the other. It's still an interesting read - could just do with more meat, one way or the other (or both), to really engage me more. 3 stars
