What did President John Adams want to be when he grew up? A farmer! But John's father talked him out of it. He wanted John to go to school. If he hadn't, American history might have been very different! John's ideas about government became part of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constition. He had to spend a lot of time away from the country he loved. He represented the United States in Holland, France and England. He was the first president to live in the White House.

I have read many of these mini-biographies, this was one of my favorites! Lots of information and interesting facts about our 2nd president John Adams. Written in a very easy to follow and understand way for intermediate age students up.
