I thought I was damaged—a werewolf without the ability to shift. I melted into the shadows, unloved and overlooked, as I served a pack that didn’t care for me. The ability to call my wolf forward was always present, but I hadn’t known, since my kind were hunted to extinction before I was born. I wasn’t any run-of-the-mill wolf; I was an Omega. Revered. Cherished. Hated. When I shifted, I got what I always wanted. My true mates. Plural. But they didn’t want me. I refused to stand around, pitied as their cast off, so I left, yet being an Omega put a target on my back for any random pack to claim as theirs. So, I molded myself into human society because rejection wouldn’t break me… until they sought me out. Their excuses were just that, excuses. They had a fight on their hands if they thought they’d get away with hurting me, because I refused to submit my heart to my savage mates. I wasn’t the timid girl that couldn’t shift. I had claws, and I wasn’t afraid to use them. If you enjoy knotting, purring, breeding elements (no preg), nesting, heats, ruts, possessive werewolves, and monster smut galore, you’ll love SAVAGE MATES. I’m guiltily admitting to putting my adulting on hold to binge read this novel. It captivated me from the very first page. Now it’s late at night, the crickets are chirping thunderously outside of my door, and all I can think is… I. fucking. love. this. book.
In it, we have defected Liliana who’s pretty much all human in a pack of werewolves. She is treated like she doesn’t belong, most especially by a woman named Clara. The way she’s treated by her and some others is truly sickening. Liliana feels a connection with Lore, the promiscuous pack Alpha, and Declan, his Beta. Although the connection is felt through everyone, nobody fights for it. Liliana is scared and low in the pack. Lore believes she’s too weak; Declan has his own reasons.
“She was my true mate. Mine. It was something I’d always felt, always at the surface, but without her wolf at the forefront, I was blind.”
One day, Liliana gets severely wounded trying to save Lore and Declan from an attack from another wolf. Because she was so close to death, it triggered her werewolf to come out. Lore and Declan both realize that she’s their mate but they BOTH reject her! Soon after, she meets Knox and realizes she has a third fated mate. She’s hopeful things might work out with him… but he trades her for information on who killed his family. A multitude of things happen to Liliana- but most importantly, she’s captured and all of her mates believe her to be dead.
We see all of them again two years later. Lore is a beast man, half wolf and half human. Declan is stuck in his human form, and Knox is stuck in his wolf form- all because of the grief and resentment they feel after losing Liana. Liana, on the other hand, is trying to enjoy her life after escaping captivity. She still craves her mates but wants nothing to do with them. They find her, though… and when they do, what will she choose to do?
They were going to make me pass out. A smile tilted the corner of my mouth. That didn’t sound too bad. And I knew, without a doubt, they’d be there to catch me. Forever.
This novel was AMAZING. I was kept on my toes throughout the whole book! I loved Liliana’s character progression- how she’s weak and meek in the beginning, but turns strong and sticks to her will later on. Lore, Declan, and Knox are all amazing characters who know how to grovel when it’s needed (and it’s very much needed. I’m looking at you, Knox, you got on your KNEES to grovel. I loved it!) Once the steam started, it reaaaally heated things up! Miss Allie Santos knows how to write some good sex scenes, I loved it. FIVE SHINING STARS ♡
LIKES: -THE PURRING. I love purring in shifter/omegaverse books. -Liliana turned into a badass! -DID I MENTION THE HEAT IN THIS NOVEL? -how sweet and caring they were when Liliana got her period! “Take a picture of the brand” (lmao Lore) -the teasing & tail-wagging. I loved it. -I adore how Liliana’s desire to not have kids (maybe ever) was portrayed. I especially love how the men reacted- they all took it in stride!
“You know it’s whatever you want, baby.” Knox grinned wide. “But I’m going to keep filling you with my cum like I’m breeding you.”
DISLIKES: -OW drama (enough said) -Their first time all together was in Lore’s “fuck-pad”. I felt a little gross reading that scene lmao
important bits: -virgin heroine -scarred heroine -age gap -dubcon (because of heat) -OMEGAVERSE MEDLEY-breeding, heats, ruts, nesting, primal play, purring & knotting -double V penetration -anal sex -praise lots of “good girl” (looking at you again, Knox)
-OW drama -no cheating -all stayed celibate during the 2 year separation
*Random- the POV tags call her Liana but they (in book) call her Liliana.*
Rejected mate with a twist of reverse harem. Liana falls within the lowest tier of pack hierarchy, and things got worse a few years earlier when her mother died and she took comfort (hug) from one of the pack betas (Declan) and his crazy mate Clara saw. Since then, Crazy Clara has made it her life’s mission to mistreat/abuse Liana, and keep her separated from everyone else.
From the blurb we know that she shifts late (20 instead of 18) and learns she is both an Omega and is rejected separately by her 3 mates within days. The rejections weren’t the most heartbreaking scenarios I’ve read… They all want her each just has issues (duty, prior engagement, misunderstanding) but it still generated a few feels.
There’s a time jump followed by some groveling… maybe not as much as I was craving… but we have the added satisfaction that they were miserable during the separation. After that it does get a smidge bogged down with sex, but that’s expected with rh.
Bottom Line- It was ok for me. I’m biased because I’m not a HUGE rh fan. The content doesn’t bother me I just feel like the “too many cooks in the kitchen” dynamic gets in the way of the plot/feels. For instance, I think Declan and crazy Clara could’ve provided plenty of drama and streamlined things for maximum feels. I also would’ve preferred if Liana was made of tougher stuff…. And less Omega, kidnapping, scents filler with more focus on the relationships, but that’s a preference thing.
I really enjoyed this one. The poor heroine had such a horrible life in the beginning, and rejected 3 times??? Holy hell. The angst was delicious! I'm not usually a fan of the multiple (reverse harem) mates, but it worked in this story. I loved the uniqueness of this tale too. I'm definitely going to check out this author's other stories.
A really interesting premise that fell short for me. This was pitched as a solution to those clickbait, pay by chapter werewolf romances you see everywhere but this book had a lot of the same pitfalls as those, namely: a lot of internalised misogyny, underdeveloped or rushed plot points, and a boat load of toxic masculinity.
The rejected mates stuff was good. The angst was top tier and I really enjoyed the first part. I liked how Liana didn’t immediately forgive them, but there is a lot dragging this down for me.
I had four main gripes with this book:
1. Most of the villains were jealous women. That was their only motivation. In 2022 we can do better than that.
2. Mental illness is used to make a character ‘evil’. I was hoping they would address this but they never do, this character is beyond saving because of her ‘madness’. Also a lot of talk about ‘defectives’ that read a lot like eugenics and isn’t critiqued by the characters.
3. All three love interests at one point or another talk about how much they reeeeeaaaally want to hurt/kill a female character. One actually does. There’s certainly a lot of choking (and not the fun kind), and generally hitting women.
4. Two other female characters die needlessly to further the main character’s journey. One was because she had been assaulted and decided she didn’t want to live anymore, a sentiment I honestly despise in any book. The second was purely for shock value, it added nothing to the story other than to add sympathy for the main character, and it left a sour taste in my mouth
That’s not to say there is no merit. If you like those kinds of stories I’m sure you would like this. It’s well written and clearly a lot of work has been put into editing. Just not for me, and could have really used a sensitivity reader or two.
4.5 stars. That was a doozy. My heart ached for Liana. She suffered a lot of abuse and neglect, especially at the beginning. This is a reverse harem fated mates werewolf shifter omegaverse read. There is OW drama. The men did lots of groveling. The steamy scenes were SO GOOD. Liana’s growth… I wasn’t expecting this woman to grow that much. She was so weak in the beginning; it was nice to see her grow in strength and confidence. Deducting .5 since there were some bits I thought could be rounded out more but otherwise I had a lovely time. I plan to check out other works from this author!
started out strong, though very angst-y but that's fine. at 50% i was so happy to see that two years pass, which meant the Hs actually suffered for as long as the heroine had. i was hopeful that meant we'd get a decent grovel. what we got... wasn't as good of a grovel as id hoped. i mean, the author uses the "heat" phenomenon to get the characters to have sex immediately; this a shortcut to sex instead of just showing actual relationship progression. but whatever. it meant that the sex scene felt weirdly forced and without much emotion, because the reader knows the heroine wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole if it weren't for her biology. the turning point in the heroine's opinion of the Hs, weirdly enough, seemed to be when they bought her shoes and jewelry?? i mean, i don't really feel like that counted as groveling?
almost every female character, other than the heroine, is shown as a jealous shrew. what was up with that.... the other female characters are: 1) a woman who doesn't want to leave her abusive husband, 2) a girl who kills herself bc she doesn't want to live with the memories of being abused (wtf..), and 3) the heroine's only friend who dies for shock value. i honestly would've given the book a higher rating if the friend hadn't died. it contributed nothing to the story, other than making the heroine completely dependent on the heroes. which was a weird choice.
oh, and something else that really bothered me was how little responsibility the alpha took for his pack. he told the heroine how sorry he was for not noticing she was being abused by other members of his pack. but when she tells him that a pack member is being abused by her mate, he says he won't interfere unless the pack member tells him to. like, okay, so he actually didn't learn anything from the heroine's situation?? he won't protect the weakest in his pack?? interesting. really seemed like he wouldn't have given a shit back then even if he'd learned of the heroine being abused. until he learned she was his mate of course bc then it's personal for him. what a dick, honestly.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it just isn't very good. The writing, the characters, the plot - everything could use some work. 60% of the novel is the FMC suffering in exaggerated and excessive ways. The author admits in the notes that she loves tortured heroines, and wow, she does not miss an opportunity to make her FMC go through some form of tragedy or another. Now, I love angst, but it gets to the point where it just becomes cringy and overdone. She doesn't grow or learn from these experiences. She sobs about it for a chapter or two and then moves on to the next injustice thrown her way.
I can't help but feel cheated by her character, either. I came across this book in the grovel Facebook group, and the author advertises it in a way that seems like she isn't like every other weak-willed heroine who immediately forgives the MCs, but she is. In some ways, she's even worse because you'd think she'd grow a backbone after being treated terribly by everyone in her life. The MCs are total assholes as well. They disrespect her repeatedly and flaunt their sexual conquests in front of her after rejecting her. There's a sudden switch from "I hate this bitch" to "I love her she's my mate," and there's no groveling and little apology. I don't understand why the FMC forgives them, especially after she repeatedly expresses her hurt and discomfort at their actions. It's another sudden shift.
Overall, it reads like a book you can find on Wattpad. The first half needs editing, and the part where she finally gets with her mates needs expanding. Some scenes feel completely disconnected and unrelated from each other, almost as if there is a "jump" forward in time despite being back to back in the same chapter. I understand that Clara is supposed to be OTT, but her "arc" could have been less cartoonish.
There wasn't enough grovel for my liking after everything the FMC went through. And what was with every woman she would come across wanting to physically assault her? Was happy 2 years passed so Liliana could grow through all the abuse she had dealt with. Didn’t like the MMCs enough to enjoy this book.
The heroine (whose name I honestly don't know, since everyone called her by a different name), has had a terrible life. She’s seemingly a dormant werewolf – most people shift around age 18, she’s 20 and still hasn’t shifted, so she assumes she never will. And, she’s basically the Cinderella of her pack, forced to sleep in terrible conditions and do all the cooking and cleaning for everyone else.
It turns out that she has 3 mates, which is unusual since most other werewolves in this world have just 1 mate. And even then, most of them don’t end up with their true mate. Honestly, the worldbuilding is too vague. The “mate” part of the plot wasn’t explained well, and the word “Omega” is also thrown around in a confusing way, since this is SORT OF an Omegaverse book, but also kind of not.
Anyway, all 3 of the heroine’s mates reject her, and they’re all complicit in her suffering a lot. One of them is the alpha of the pack who has her clean his room after he sleeps with other women. The other hero has a fake mate who abuses the heroine. Neither of these guys REALIZE that she’s their mate for a long time, so their cruelty towards her is more out of disregard and stupidity than malice. But, it still makes them unlikeable heroes, especially since neither of them notice her having a terrible life in their pack for YEARS. (And the third mate is a guy that she runs into when she finally leaves the pack. He's is willing to trade her away to a bunch of sketchy guys, just so that he can get information. Great hero!).
This problem with this book is that it doesn’t have a good ratio of “heroine suffering” to the heroes then doing enough to make up for it. Or, the story doing enough to balance that out. Too much of this book is taken up by her suffering. I don’t mind a heroine going through heavy shit, I like angst! But if that’s all a book is, it starts feeling like Trauma Porn. Wallowing in suffering just for the sake of it makes for EXTREMELY tedious reading.
A subpar werewolf read, and an unsatisfying rejected mate trope book.
This is my first book to read by Allie Santos and let me tell you it did not disappoint.
My heart broke immediately for the FMC. I wanted to jump into the story and befriend her just to alleviate her loneliness and shield her from the endless abuse. However; the things Liliana went through served as a catalyst propelling her into becoming the Omega wolf she was born to be.
After being rejected and betrayed by 3 different mates all within a span of a couple of days, Liliana knew it was time for a change. With the help and guidance of another Omega wolf Liliana learned how to survive away from the pack. Liliana became Confident, Resilient, Resourceful and Independent.
Liliana’s mates: Lore, Declan and Knox were absolute jerks who deserved the pain and suffering they experienced when they thought they lost Liliana in a fire where a female corpse was found with her shirt and necklace. Over the next two years these guys lived in absolute misery. Lore the Alpha of the Eastland Pack was stuck in his wolf-man form becoming more feral with each passing day, Declan his Beta was ready to end it all in his pain and devastation and Knox was stuck in his wolf form living as a feral beast.
Once word got out that Liliana was alive, nothing could keep Lore, Declan and Knox from not only finding her but groveling at her feet begging for forgiveness but Liliana wasn’t easily swayed and she definitely didn’t make it easy on the guys. She didn’t mind having them to help her satisfy her heat but she refused their mating bite something she once upon a time craved from them and was denied. This act alone devastated her mates and made them work even harder to prove their worth to her.
This book is a medium to fast burn paranormal romance with some devilishly spicy scenes. I mean I never knew I had a Wolf-man kink until now. I’ll add that to my overall Monster kink list. This book will have you in your feelings. Allie literally rips your heart out then slowing mends it only to break it once more before restoring you completely.
The writing was technically good with only a few minor editing errors, but unfortunately I found all the men to be complete asshats and either didn't grovel enough to redeem themselves or were completely irredeemable to begin with due to their original decisions. The gratuitous violence throughout the plot didn't help either. While the FMC Liliana/Lily/Liana did stay pretty consistent in her personality for most of the book with staying away from the mates that rejected her, alas, biology eventually won out, and she caved.
I didn't find the romance overall satisfying to be a re-read for me, but this book would be enjoyable for those that like rejected mate, monster/shifter smut, and abused omega tropes.
Rejected mates x3. This poor omega can’t catch a break. This story starts like a lot of the Facebook ads for stories on those reading apps. Poor abused omega. In this universe, omegas are thought to be extinct. She’s really only tormented by one person in the pack. The rest of them ignore or avoid her.
The focus on her physical weakness was tiresome. I know omegas are weak but her pack alpha literally rejected her because she was too weak. The alphas right hand beta rejected her because he was already unfortunately mated. His mate was batshit crazy and her abuser. The other mates excuse was he had been desperately searching for answers about the pack who’d slaughtered his entire family and the only way he could get it was by giving her to the asshole with the info. Lucky, lucky girl, eh?
They all end going after her immediately but she’s able to get away from her captors and manages to disappear into the human world for 2 years. The mates who’d rejected believe she’s dead except one who’s continued to look for her unsuccessfully. The wolves who’d originally taken her find her and return them to her mates so they will stop hunting them down.
She doesn’t immediately forgive them. She fights them viciously, in fact. She then ends up in heat. She lets them bang her but refuses to accept any claims.
This was an okay read. They aren’t super great at groveling. They mostly just want to buy her stuff. They are desperate to win her back over though.
It’s an interesting read. They have human forms, wolf forms and manwolf forms that seem to be an effect of having the omega.
Virgin h One H is a manwhore Knotting Biting OW drama Push away from Hs, then h No scenes with others No cheating 2 year separation HEA
Safety - they don’t have sex with anyone else after finding her but the safeness is questionable, imo. The alpha had turned into a massive manwhore after giving up on mating her. Her abuser made her clean up his sex room after he’d hook up with random hoebags.
One mate was mated to her abuser. He was sorta trapped into mating the crazy woman.
One mate takes her to eat at a diner a steady hookup of his works at. She’s a cuntface.

In her author’s note at the beginning of the book, Allie talks about the sponsored reading apps stories we often see on our Facebook feeds, how cringy in all the right ways they are and how she wanted to write a similar type of book. I personally always end up downloading those apps and reading those stories, but could never find the same kind of thing in shifter books I’ve read. Well Allie delivered in my opinion. I really enjoyed this story, even if I wanted to smack the males behind the head a couple times. I do wish there was more groveling, and I found some structural issues with the story (unclear time lapses or lack of fluidity in transitioning from an event to another). Aside from that, I liked it a lot!
This is my first AS book, and the good news is her heart and her creativity are in the right place. It is obvious that AS has studied wolf shifter and omegaverse tropes well and has regrouped those that happen to be my favourite ones, namely:
🐾 All omegaverse goodness out there! 🐾 Rejection from fated mates (and where they crawl their way to forgiveness to the h - no substitute mate sh*t!) 🐾 Angst from rejection 🐾 Hs angsting and agonising over the loss their mate and how they utterly failed her 🐾 Reverse Harem 🐾 Hot, hot matings 🐾 A sincere, and relentless grovelling strategy
The first half of the book placed the h, Liana, with the life of a Cinderella, only 1000 times worse. She was: beaten, abused, demeaned, slaved off, malnourished, dressed in threadbare clothes, isolated in poor sleeping quarters, almost friendless, suffering from unrequited attraction, having to witness the debauchery of one of her mates... And all this, to the total obliviousness of two of her mates... 😞😢 And the ultimate blow to her already low self-esteem is that, in the space of 24hrs, she gets rejected, not once, not twice, but thrice by her mates, Lore, Declan and Knox who are more busy engaging in navel-staring than realising the gift they are spurning so easily.
Lore and Declan even believed they could have both their bread and butter by rejecting her but keeping her on the side because she is their fated one. It is only when they believed that she has been lost to them that they finally stopped being morons and got their priorities right. However, to their credit, they each rejected her not because they did not recognise and want the connection with her, but because of a reason they believed took first priority. For Lore, he believed in duty to the pack (probably because of the strife during his uncle's reign for his Luna); for Declan, because he was trapped by the wrong woman before he ever recognised his true mate and he wanted to protect her from his mate's madness; and for Knox, because he was consumed with avenging his decimated family. All in all, I can see that they believed their reasons to be noble and trying to minimise their guilt over the hurt they may be causing Liana. Hence, their sins to Liana may be great, but forgivable if they work for it.
Thankfully, Liana did not wait for them to give her half-assed attention and instead ran away to at last live her life and discover her true self. I was proud of how she learned to be herself away from the pack and her insecurities. For that Randy was marvelous and I could not believe that .
Did the Hs grovel work? Well, they did suffer angst for 2 whole years. They fully realised that they did not treat her well, and they each knew that she was the only important thing in their lives. And once they found her, they did strive to show her that she was their only one and that they will always be there for her to protect, love and grant her every wish. And they apologised, owning up to their failings. So imho it was good grovel. And as I said, their sins were never from malignant reasons. My romantic heart always wishes for epic grovelling but is satisfied for this book.
The mating scenes were very hot 🥵, esp. with the combinations that they come up with 😳😁. I am always happy when Hs have no qualms getting swords crossing - that's what real RH should be 😏! Though I must question why every coupling has to have the Hs in wolfman form. Is that how it must be for omegas? I don't mind but variety would have been great on that point (and less dangerous, what with the claws and fangs 😅). I had a big laugh each time the hot tempered Hs burst out into wolfman form (which is different from normal wolf shifting, also in the book) in the most incongruous places e.g. the bar and ended up naked (imposingly so! 😳). I always think that the clothing budget must be huge for wolf shifters 🤣.
Why was this not a higher rating? Because the story tended to drag a bit aimlessly toward the end. Also, though the writing was good, I was sometimes lost in the transitions from past and present events; I often missed when the change happened and had to re-read scenes. The world building was interesting and the author obviously put a lot of thoughts in it and tried to explain things clearly. However, there were still some weak plot points like how the Hs (being top dogs of the pack!) never realised - for 4 years! - that it was only the h alone cooking and cleaning for the pack house, or why would they allow a mad mate to administer household work, where she would lord over a pack mate (for whom they have unexplained attraction to, that they do their best to deny) who had been physically scarred by said mad mate. I must however say that I liked the way AS wrote the few Hs' POV chapters, as opposed to the h's, because they translated the angst feels better imho.
All in all, a good Rejected mate book, just shy of the Queen of the genre.
P.S. Trivia thought - I can never understand why many omegaverse make it that the scent of omegas obsess males who are not their fated. I mean if each omega has a fated alpha (or alphas), her scent should be meant for only her fated ones!

Savage Mates = weak, torturep0rn heroine + rejected mates drama + selfish alphaholes + some knotting. That's basically it.
All the women in the book are either evil sadistic bitches or victims of abuse (apart from the one friend).
The mate of one of her men is constantly called 'crazy' and described as having 'madness' (read: mental illness) and yet no one sees her as a victim or tries to get her help. The mate then thinks about killing her when he realises he wants the FMC (I know, what a charmer).
All three of the MMC’s treated Lilly terribly, the things they did were heartbreaking and they never once redeemed themselves. Lilly was way too soft, had absolutely no back bone, and forgave them far too easily.
ARC review Savage Mates- Allie Santos Story: ⅗ Spice: 3.5/5
Savage Mates tells the story of Liliana, a defective low-ranking werewolf. As a result, she is shunned and abused by her pack. After her latent wolf surfaces, revealing her as an omega, she is rejected by her mates and flees the pack. While fleeing, she meets yet another mate (and is rejected again). Because of her omega status, she is desired for many reasons, among them being her sweet scent and her ability to draw out "defective" wolves. She is kidnapped by another pack, but ultimately escapes with another omega to make their life among the humans. Unbeknownst to her, her mates, despite their initial rejection, have determined they can't live without her and go searching for her.
My thoughts: this book had so much potential, but ultimately fell a little flat. While the plot was exciting, the scenes felt rushed, and the narrative often left me confused. There was a lot of "backwards actions", where the author would retroactively state what the characters were doing, which had me rereading paragraphs more frequently than I would have liked. While I am a fan of darker romances, I found this book had too many senseless deaths; nearly all of the supporting characters died, doing little to propel the plot forwards. The violence was simultaneously descriptive or glossed over, which led to an inconsistent pacing. The characters were rather bland and one-note. The males were all very possessive, and only affectionate to their mate. Liliana was very meek throughout the majority of the book, only standing up for herself towards the end. The author described a desire to write a story centered around a spirited Latina woman, but there was nothing deeper Liliana's heritage than her coloration. While others may find this story enjoyable, I found the writing inconsistency and the character lackluster. While I certainly wouldn't say that the book was bad, it simply fell a little flat for me…
This book is well written. I liked the different idea with the 3 fated mates all rejecting the heroine and where the book would go from there.
What I didn’t like was the constant name changes. The heroine went from Liana to Liliana to Lily. One is a shortened name but the other are completely different names. It was super annoying 🤨. And the spicy scenes were gross. If you’ve ever been unfortunate enough to have a dog stick his nose in your crotch this is NOT sexy 🤮.
I also didn’t end up really liking any of the guys and the death of her friend towards the end was totally unnecessary and stupid imo.
I won’t read any more books in this universe. Not for me.
I liked the overall storyline and the characters, but some parts of her writing was rushed. I was immediately lost after the ending of Randy’s story. It literally contributed nothing and was so unnecessary to take away the one person that Liliana had in her corner no matter what. She didn't need to die for Liliana to want to help other omegas! Would have liked an epilogue of her pack saving the omegas and keeping them safe, but overall, it was a decent read.
If there’s one thing I love more than growly alpha-holes it’s a growly alpha-hole begging for forgiveness from his sweet sunshine mate. Especially when said mate makes him work hard for her forgiveness. *Smirks*
Savage Mates did the impossible and made me truly despise an alpha-hole. Literally didn’t think that was possible before now but here we are. *Throws kindle at alpha-hole* One mate in particular will not be redeemable any time soon in my eyes. He has a lot more groveling to do... Buuuut I think I can give him a get out of jail free card since he has started treating Liliana like a princess.
Honestly at the beginning of the book Allie Santos mentions those story ads you come across on Facebook that hook you and all I can say is… Savage Mates is what you wished those books were when you started them but they didn’t live up to. It was such a fantastic read I’m honestly sad it was a standalone!
Speaking of sad, Allie you are on my naughty list! I full on ugly cried when you know who was killed. I had grown so attached to them that I was hoping they’d get their own spin-off book with a happily ever after. I’m excited to dive into your backlist but that absolutely gutted me. *Cries*

Clara tries to kill her a few more times and then ever the perpetual villainClara does get killed a few times—-literally the woman has 9 lives. Finally they all live hea.
Arc review: Didn’t mind the novel. Liked the character growth for the main character especially that it didn’t happen over night. Is a fast read as once into the plot you want more. Is a spice level 3 for me.
This was my first Allie Santos book and it delivered exactly what she said it would. Heats, ruts, knotting, purring, size difference and best of all, monster f*cking.
When we first start the book, Liliana is weak and very mistreated by everyone in her pack. She stays to herself and takes the abuse, thinking it's normal. My heart broke for her. She deserved better from the jump.
I liked that she didn't immediately forgive her mates. Most rejected mates books have the FMC running back to the assholes who reject them. Liana grew some balls, found a roommate and got a job.
Onto the mates themselves. I appreciate that they all stayed celibate during the time she was gone. Declan had the most to apologize for in my mind but I blame him for ignoring his "mate's" behavior. Lore just had his head up his ass trying to ignore what he thought was a mate too weak to be a luna. Knox was my favorite. He did a dickish thing but regretted it immediately and mourned the worst.
The biggest issue I had was no one knowing she was being abused as badly as she was. There's a blind eye because you feel bad craving somone who isn't your mate and then there's ignoring your duty as pack alpha to protect the weakest members. This gets addressed.
That being said, the spice was amazing. I really enjoyed the wolfman aspect. The scenes were steamy and different without being cringy. 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Okay what an absolutely wild ride this book was. It’s hard to even put into words how I feel about this because there was just SO MUCH GOING ON! 🤩😳
I don’t know why I continue to torture myself by reading rejected mates, it’s like every time my brain just goes “no this time it won’t be bad” 🤡 I really am my own worst enemy because it was so fücking sad! UGH 😭 I hated how they treated Liana at the start and honestly I think there should have been waaayyyy more grovelling for what they put her through but maybe that’s just me lol 🙃
A big plus is that it is spicy af 🥵 I will never say no to monster peens and this went above and beyond to deliver 🤪 GAH DAMN! The size difference was also to die for OMG I lap that shït up every damn time. So good.
The only thing that stuck out to me was that I would have loved a bit more emotional relationship development between the 4 of them. I felt like we were just a bit rushed in some moments because the plot was intense and just did not stop - I was stressin’ in some parts! 😅 It didn’t get in the way of the smut which I appreciate, however I wish a lil bit more time was spent on their non-spicy interactions 💘
Knox is definitely the standout in the harem for me (love my loner boy 🫶) and I think it was due to him having more one-on-one time at the start with Liana!
Overall a really fun read, I raced through the last 40% and didn’t even realise it when I got to the end! 🏃♀️💨
The h is the lowest pack member and treated badly under the first betas mate who hates her. It was very Cinderella like.
The h thinks she's defective because she didn't turn when she was 18. That changes when the pack is attacked and she gets injured trying to save the first betas life. She turns, she's an omega and she gets rejected by the alpha who thinks she's weak, the first beta who's trying to protect her from his crazy mate and she decides to leave thereby meeting her last mate, who trades her to a sadistic pack for information. Though he had no intention of letting them keep her.
She manages to escape with a new friend and stays hidden with her mates believing she died in a fire until her past comes back to kidnap her and deliver her back to said mates.
There is grovel, an h who's grown a backbone and comeuppance to the those who deserve it.
The smut was on the excessive side for me hence the 3 stars.
Let’s be honestly I hated these guys pretty much the whole first half of the book I felt like they were not redeemable but any stretch of the imagination but dang was I wrong the grovel was everything I could have ever dreamed of! Our girl Liliana is freaking amazing beyond belief and she held herself up when no one else would she grew to stand on her own two feet and rely on herself but watch her and the guys together was a thing of beauty… there are those moments that had me screaming and then the moment that completely gutted me and I wasn’t she I would come back from but holy crap want an amazing story filled with ups and downs and what an emotional roller coaster ride!!! This book and this author deserve way more than 5 stars!
