A Mountainous Undertaking

This book was a pleasant surprise. As this is a spiritual adventure story, I was expecting to be immersed in too much talk about God but it was not like this at all. This really is a book about Micah and his emotional passage as he becomes a man and learns about his purpose in life. If you hear a voice and believe it to be that of a celestial body then you may have a hard time getting your friends to believe you.

Grief stricken, Micah is taken over the mountains on a journey of self-discovery, he faces many challenges, meets many strange characters and faces prejudice and destruction.

The author Joey Willis, has a great writing style and a vivid imagination. It took me a while to get through this book but I liked the story-line and was eager to find out where Micah was going. There is only so far west you can travel.
