Slain by the Gods and reborn as a Dungeon Core, Ace becomes the only dungeon in the world able to resurrect adventurers after killing them and stealing their power. Centered in the battlefield between the six elemental factions, Ace begins his ascension through the ranks of advancement in tandem with the first human to enter his domain. Dungeons of the six factions live symbiotically with humans, each growing in power from interacting with the other, however that quest for power has left the human world in a state of constant conflict— a conflict made exponentially worse by the recent disappearance of Chaos , the seventh elemental God. War is upon the world... and Chaos will reign.
At first, one of the main reason I enjoyed this series was the light hearted and wacky tone it took on at times. It juxtiposed with the darker world outside the dungeon. But then the second book took that away and then tried to gaslight the reader. I would have still been a little upset without it but I cannot stand authors gaslighting their readers. I can't recomend this series in this new light.
**********previous review******** I've seen this cover pop up here and there in my feed but I wasn't in the mood for a dungeon dev story. I kind of regret it now.
If you're a litRPG or fantasy lover then you should give this a read. Bear in mind that the romance is light to non-existant. I'm a bit of a romance guy myself but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm binging this series! X-D
********** The story doesn't JUST follow the dungeon. There enough character development that you feel engaged inside and out of the dungeon. There's a decent amount of world building. I actually know about and understand a decent chunk of the world. Pacing seemed fine to me but check other reviews for that one. I don't trust myself this time on that front. All in all a slightly unconventional dungeon story and an enjoyable read.
If amazons star system were more fair id probably rate this book a bit lower, but aince even 4 stars is "bad" im not. Overall this book was... Fine.
I was maybe a little bored at times but never enough to not come back. The dialogue was ok, though the quirky one felt a bit forced, as did the titans talking. The monsters were fun to read about. It just never took a step to distinguish itself in a major way for me.
Felt too preachy at times and naggy as well as thing's made me go nope just nope for example gender changes, sorry if got that wrong but seems dungeon offered that for free too later on in book. And offer things just didn't seem or feel right for a dungeon core story.
Its a shame as not terrible world and magic system and character aren't too bad with ok magic system.
Struggled with star score of 1 or 2 but more in line with 1 and half sorry.
So far so good I'm in love with the world & the dungeon being built hopefully it won't fall to the pitfalls others take (making them to human or just human fast as they can or OP ) but anyway if you like Divine Dungeon here's a must read
The book is written well enough I guess, but it really needs to be in the kiddy section. It's like someone made a kid's cartoon about a dungeon core novel. The humor and dialogue seem especially aimed towards kids
It was a fun chaotic read. Rather fast paced with an intriguing world. I feel the editing can use a little brush up in a few spots, but overall I greatly enjoyed the story and even laughed out loud a few times. Enjoy!
I really like the idea behind the chaos dungeon and how the author portrayed it, seeing the character growth and how their adventures are shaping them was alot of fun definetly buying the rest of the series, can't wait to see what happens next
I've read several Dungeon Core stories, and this one takes the usual tropes and build-up development and just says "F$%# it". The story is crazy and still oddly enjoyable because of that.
