I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is a new genre of Jo Mantel to write, he has gone above and beyond. This story captures you from the beginning to the end. Loved the writing and story, it even had me teary in one part. (Sorry, no spoilers) It is hard to continue a story from another author, Jo Mantel has done a magnificent job. I would love to see what happens to the people in this book, I need more (hint Jo). You won't be disappointed reading this awesome book.
I enjoyed reading this delightful book by Jo. This book had me hooked from the first page and it was well written. This was my first book by Jo and I was impressed and I will read more from him. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion. I plan on reading more from this series.
I have so far enjoyed all of the stories in this terrific series and Phantom Warrior joins as being another great addition with its well thought out storyline adding little twists and turns, wonderful characters and detailed descriptions.
Lexa I liked from the very beginning, she changed a bit, well she had to do so to survive, but 🤐 not giving away any details only to say that the changes were important and a vital part of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed the way Lexa received her nickname, cleverly executed. The story is told from Lexa’s point of view, we get more background knowledge and better detail, as well as, a deeper emotional connection.
One of the best parts of this series is how different each story is and yet they tie together. The other is how exciting it is when the action is at its most intense, you find yourself literally sitting on the edge of your seat and my heart was so worried about more than Lexa in this book.
I liked Phantom Warrior, book 10 of The Phoenix Force Series. Lexa was an alright character and i liked how resilient she was and how she wouldn’t give up on finding her baby. However, it was super hard to connect with her emotionally, i’m not sure why i just couldn’t seem to be as invested in her as i would of liked the same goes for Brock he had good traits but connecting just didn’t seem to come unfortunately. I liked Christian though and really enjoyed seeing Claire. The premise of the plot was good.
