My brother's first book! Really enjoyed it. Can't wait to read more.

Second reading: the audiobook that's free on youtube was also excellent.

The use of a mystery plot reminiscent of hard-boiled detective stories was employed perfectly in this sci-fi adventure. It’s a simple enough plot where the magic is really in the details. You’ll learn about a new sport, a beautifully described strategy board game and find yourself wanting to enjoy an ‘experience’ that sounds even better than going to a movie theater. All the while you’ll wonder, what’s the deal with the lower oxygen levels on this strange colony, and is this something sinister going on?
