He has that whole powerful alpha thing going on, and while I'm a feminist at heart, apparently my feminist is a bit of a slut too because she rolls over and purrs at the thought of submitting to a dominant like Warren.
I love this author! She mixes the perfect amount of crazy man with filthy dirty talk. How did she get away with our hero threatening to “nut” and make it sound hot? She waited until we we’re already fully invested and it just worked.

I loved this, but I love everything this author writes! There was more chase to this book than others she’s written. The hero is cold and powerful and is closed off, but when he sees the heroine, he has to have her. But she runs from him and he pursues. It takes some effort on his part to convince her that hes not interested in a fling, he wants her forever.
Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned except to imply he’s too focused on business to worry over women. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No others, no cheating or sharing or abuse. HEA with epilogue

Ridiculous and quick read. Warren (31) and Faith (21) met at his company's Halloween party. He saw her and got interested in her immediately. However, he made Faith speechless and overwhelmed, so she left the party quickly.
Warren being powerful and ridiculously wealthy hired a PI to have a background check on her. And he found out that his rival is going to hire Faith as their intern. He thwarted this plan, and hired her instead. But Faith picked up his plan and didn't accept the role. They had this cat and mouse game for weeks, because Faith kept avoiding him thinking that if she ever gives in he'll ruin her once he's done with her.
To say Warren's obsession is crazy is a freaking understatement. He did a lot of things to manipulate her into falling into his palm. And he made her admit that she wants it too, but just too afraid to take a risk.
This was fun, most especially the avoidance game. Faith is a strong willed heroine, she didn't fold when she was cornered by Warren (mind you multiple times). She held her ground and walked away from him. But Warren's persistent and he always gets what he wants, and what he wants is Faith. Nothing will stop him from making her his.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this novella. It was short but it really entertained me, and I really like the heroine.

Faith & Warren. I love Bray's books but this one fell a little short for me. Warren seemed like all he wanted Faith for was sex even with him saying otherwise. His actions were that of someone who wanted something they couldn't have. I really did like that Faith stood up for herself though! I feel like you don't see that too often where the FMC deny's the MMC for as long as she did. I know this is only a 56pg novella, but I would've liked to see at least one convo that wasn't about sex for these two.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Warren meets Faith at this Halloween party he has. When she walks into the party he can’t take his eyes off her. He goes downstairs to introduce himself to her. Suddenly she asks him if he is the devil. She feels ridiculous and leave the party. He has a private investigator look for her. The investigator sent him updates every day. His PR manager suggests he needs an intern. Matt his intern suggest Faith. Faith gets a call from her advisor that she has been selected to be an intern at Foxworth Financial. She needs to go immediately to meet Mr. Foxworth. Warren peace is the floor until she arrives. She steps into his office in a red dress. She asked him why he picked her when he tells her he didn't want his competitor taking her she gets mad. So he tells her she's there because of her merit. He pulls her closer to him and ask her why she ran from him. She tells him she was scared he asked her why. He kisses her and she tells him she can't be his intern. He tells her he'll still teach her everything. She tells him she has to go. He tells her not to run from him again, he tells her the moment he's seen her he can't stop thinking of her. He begins to kiss her when a knock comes on those door. Faith takes it as her chance to get away and she takes off to the elevator. Faith wakes up to six dozen of roses at her apartment. She doesn't want to get involved with him she thinks he is only after one thing. He'll break her heart and then she'll be without a job. He gets her phone number and starts texting her in class. Warren does away with his investigator. He goes to watch Faith himself. He knows her roommates are out so he finds her at her home. He tries to talk to her but can't help himself and begins to kiss her. She slaps him walks into her house and locks the door. Three days pass and Faith hasn't heard from him. She gets a call from her advisor telling her she's been awarded a scholarship. Her advisor tells her tuition has been paid, her past balance have been paid. She finds out the donor of the scholarship is Warren. She storms over to his office walks right into it. She tells him he can't buy her. She confesses why she can't be with him. He tells her he wants forever with her. He tells her he wants to worship her. He begins to kiss her and she whimpers against him. She gives into his kiss and they get physical. He tells her she is only his. Two years later they are married, he made her a partner. She ground him she makes him a better man. Faith is pregnant with her first child. I do wish our characters talked a little more and built some more chemistry when they first meet. The obsession from our MMC is fully just based on looks.

I kind of loved this Halloween holiday story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a bit of stalking and obsessiveness. The characters were interesting and likable even when they were over the top grouchy. Warren was not a happy camper most of the time but especially with the Halloween party. That changed when he saw her. Faith was at the Halloween party with friends when one of them pointed out Warren and told her that he was known as the devil. When they met, there was a lot of tension between them and Faith wasn’t ready to deal with it or Warren. Warren was super upset about Faith’s reaction to him so he was more of a devil than usual. Things soon changed but it took a little patience and understanding (which was difficult!) from both of them. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

ML is crazily obsessed with FL but she seems to like it i guess it's fine i also don't mind it but it would have been crazy if she didn't like it now that would have been a huge no for me but been by it seem like she like his obsessiveness it's ok i guess but that's not normal. like just imagine if FL had never given in to him he would have become a full psycho. but this one is okay because he just do some obsessive shit he doesn't go full asshole on her but he does go full asshole around other. i still didn't like the fact that she work under him like i said mixing business and pleasure is a horrible idea

I read this one because it was the second in the series. It was worse than the first one and had not much of anything except unhealthy obsession, a girl that should be and appears to be smart but is then shown to be ridiculous and sex. Thats it! Thats the whole book. It was very short and almost uncomfortable to read with the amount of obsession. I can’t even remember their names it was that bad.. there is a 3rd in the series but i think

If you like the old fashioned Harlequin books inherited from your mother, you will like this. I feel that this little insta-love reads should be sweet, easy and without overly exorbitant drama, so far this writer's style meets my reading requirements without getting me all frazzled and pissed of with some jackalope imaginary H and doormat h.

This was an okay read, obviously very short. I’ve been in a reading slump so I wanted to read a short and spicy novella to get me back into things… this wasn’t anything spectacular, honestly felt like I was reading a WattPad story. It wasn’t like super spicy, but the main sex scene was sooo good, I loved the breeding kink aspect! It was definitely an insta-love story, which is okay if done right, and I feel like it was done okay.

The spice was fine short but fine
but the book was filled with patriarchal views on women she is tiny yet curvy and she gets pregnant and married within 5 minutes like ugh and she is obviously a virgin.

Pretty short love-at-first-sight. I think Warren came off pretty aggressively at the beginning for no reason. I think he could have gotten Faith’s attention sooner without being so snarky and sexual from the start, then she would have been more trusting of his intentions.

obsession and rejection
I loved that the heroine kept rejecting the hero. Too often, she just falls into his arms the second he calls, and this one did not. She kept telling him no, and she stuck to her guns. I loved this. Of course, there is a happily ever after for both of them.

Short. Instalove. Steamy. A great story when you need a quick fix. Just don't listen to the audio. The narrator sounded like she was whining the whole first half which made it difficult to listen to.
