I would have rated this a 3 due to it being a little dated. However, it gives great background on the history and development of the state of Israel. The defining time of her leadership was the Yom Kippur War which was 55 years and one day from this latest war. The timing was eerie.

Also a Friends of the Hilton Head Library find. Read it immediately after reading her autobiography and it provided another perspective of her through her sons eyes.

Golda is such a fascinating character that every book about her (from whoever's perspective) is worth a look. She was a unique & seminal figure in the early history of the State of Israel.

Of course it felt a bit sugar-coated, but lots of historical information in addition to the son's memoirs. I am glad I read this book.
