I found this at a take-and-leave library box near my neighborhood. Initially looking at it, my expectations were pretty low. This book did pleasantly surprise me. It has little tests in it to help determine where the problem lies, and has solutions catered to lots of different problems. For instance, I don’t exactly consider myself to be a “stress eater” and I try to eat well, but I still found some feedback in this book that I am looking forward to trying. Additionally, it provides different layouts of what meals would look like following their program for full days.
This book also steers clear from narratives like, “avoid this,” and “comfort food is evil.” That is a great point for me because people of all goals need to know that moderation is okay. I really felt like these authors portrayed that.
The beginning was hard to get into for me and with it being a self help book, I wasn’t always excited to read it. For this reason, it lost a star from me. However, I am excited to amp up my meals this summer to hopefully get more results using tips from this book.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

I liked this book well enough, although I did not read every page. I read the first couple of chapters, then started picking through to find ones that applied to me. Once you read up to a certain point, the book actually tells you to skip ahead to certain chapters if you fall into certain categories. There are alot of good points in this book, and things to do to prevent stress eating. The basic premise is to eat a huge breakfast - as much as you want, as long as it's balanced. What makes a meal balanced? You'll have to read the book to find out. But, there's a sample eating plan that anyone can follow. It's not your typical "diet" in that it restricts food. In fact, it encourages eating for your specific hormones.

This worked for me. Not necessarily a diet book, but a way to get unreasonable cravings under better control.
