After having our worlds ripped apart by everything we'd uncovered, my mate and I thought the surprises were behind us. Unfortunately, Fate has other plans.
As a trained warrior, I'd always been confident that I would win, especially with my love by my side. But this war is something different, and I'm not quite sure Justice will be served.
Battle is imminent, and the residents of Shadow City are greatly outnumbered. My mate, friends, and family stand together to protect our home as well as the rest world... even if the fight brings our death.

Welcome to Shadow City, where each trilogy focuses on a different pair of fated mates. By the end of every trilogy, each couple will have their happy ever after.
However, not every mystery will be solved. Some secrets will span additional trilogies but will in no way take away from the individual stories. You can still read the trilogies out of order, but the suggested reading order is as
Shadow Silver Wolf Broken Mate Rising Darkness Silver Moon
Shadow Royal Vampire Cursed Mate Shadow Bitten Demon Blood
Shadow Demon Wolf Ruined Mate Shattered Curse Fated Souls
Shadow Dark Angel Fallen Angel Demon Marked Dark Prince Fatal Secrets
Shadow Silver Mate Shattered Wolf Fated Hearts Ruthless Moon
Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.
I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes. I am so pleased that you stopped by my page! Please feel free to follow or contact me at the following pages -
Fatal Secrets is the fourth book in Rosemary's story and concludes the Dark Angel chapter of the Shadow City Universe. It was a great read everything I would expect from a Shadow City Universe novel.
Rosemary and Levi have come a long way both separately and together. I love that Rosemary has emotions now and instead of seeing them as a weakness, she sees them as a strength. She's understanding the world around her and it's bonding her more with the people she loves. Plus it's still a hoot when she doesn't understand colloquialisms.
As for Levi, what can I say, he's a work in progress but he's starting to learn how to people with people who weren't raised in Hell. He's become less annoying and more understanding and rational and I like him better for it.
This is the book I've been waiting for, a couple of my theories have finally been validated out loud through a few shocking revelations. I cannot tell you the satisfaction of that and once everything is put all together the level of betrayal and manipulation that was pulled off is kinda unimaginable. There were a few tough emotional moments and things aren't okay but they aren't totally horrible either, I would say they were inevitable. I say over and over this is an awesome friend group and good thing it is because they needed it.
While Rosemary's story wasn't like anything I expected it was still a fantastic read. Fatal Secret ended kinda how I expected but the emotions behind it, I will admit, came as a surprise, I didn't expect to feel the way I did and that's not the only surprise. This isn't the end for the Shadow City group things will continue in Shattered Wolf, the first book in the Shadow City: Silver Mate series, the first book in Killian's story.
Levi and Rosemarys sorry was definitely a wild ride! So much got uncovered in this! I can’t wait to see how the series ends!
Favourite quote: “Because, most often, doing the right thing is the harder path. That’s why those who take it are some of the strongest people in the world.”
Starting this last book in the dark angel series, a page into the book, I had to check what pulchritudinous was...thanks author! Lol
But what an action packed book! The build up was so good. And finally, finally we get the full story! Sooo many secrets unveiled, but, so many more that still need to be uncovered.
I really enjoyed seeing how Rosemary has grown and learning to deal with her emotions. So happy to see that her and Levi are on a good footing in their relationship aswell.
And as for Azbogah aka Azzy. This guy!!! I have been wanting to throat punch him since Sterlyns book., and then he almost brings me to tears (i blame the fact that that I was reading at 1:30am...eyes burning). Lol.....
I would have liked to have seen Rosemary or her parents address the undecided to possibly rally them fight against the demons, rather than just kind of arbing around, not getting involved. I loved the quote "those who stand aside and do nothing are sometimes worse than the person who made the choice."
I am looking forward to see where things stand and what the new world order is going to be.
Alright, this book was much better then the third one in the series. It had more action, emotion, and wasn’t info dump or cheesy and slow. The ending though was a bit rushed and I will be touching up on that later.
Demons attack Shadow City and the princes of Hell want revenge. Demons also fell because of a spell that Azogbah placed with a witch, to gain more power. There a lot of twists and turns, but humans have also learned about supernaturals as well.
I loved the fight scenes and the revelations. Rosemary and Levi really work their way through their relationship in this book and learn to love and fight alongside one another. I really enjoyed seeing them get their happy ending.
But I have to say, if I have any issues with this book, it’s that ending. Because seriously, it felt rushed and forced. I needed more emotion and a bit of more of a finale then that.
But still, I am off to the last series chronologically in this world.
If you take out the repetitive regurgitations from the previous 3 we would have half a book. Maybe author is writing the stories for those with ADHD..cuz she constant refreshed everyone memory…but that is a smart way to go then you can drag out your books longer and fleece more money. And call it keeping your readers up to date..so Rosemary and Levi get their happy for now, they solved the problem of Azzy, but the malicious witches have bowls of Angel blood that. Can be used against them and take over control of the Angel house.
Rosemary, Levi, and the rest are in a battle of a lifetime. With the truth finally come to light, the prince's of hell and the demon army are on the lose and terrorizing Shadow City, but with the battle of good and evil who will win? Rosemary after finding put the truth starts to understand more about her feelings and the people around, with Levi and the others by her side will she come to understand it all or will they lose it all? This book gives you so much that it will make you head spin and have your emotions all over the place. As the war wages and both sides lose so much you will feel it all. Right the beginning these book weave a story that will keep you coming. This epic action packed, very emotional, intense, and beautiful read you want be able to stop reading. An amazing read and I can't wait to read what she has next.
I've read 13 books in the Shadow City series. What a rush! As I finished bone book, I couldn't wait for the next. I just wish the last three books in the series were available today. The next book doesn't come out until the first week in December, and I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I loved loved, loved the series. The only thing I didn't like was that the end of each book left the story in the air. I don't like waiting to see what comes next. I did however, loved reading each book. I was amazed to only find a few errors in each book, as sometimes I come across so many in others' books that I throw them down in disgust. This is the longest series I have read from any other author. I read about 7 books a week and this series was my favorite. I wish I could give the series a 6 star rating!
This was a good ending to Rosemary and Levi's story. Revelations unfold, shedding light on Azbogah's pivotal role in the creation of fallen angels and hell itself. The brewing war between demons, fallen angels, and other supernatural beings finally erupts, causing losses and revealing secrets, including Rosemary's true parentage. Amidst the chaos, the humans also stumble upon these hidden worlds, leaving uncertain repercussions. The exhilarating fight scenes and eye-opening revelations were definite highlights for me. In this book, Rosemary and Levi's relationship undergoes significant growth as they navigate challenges together, ultimately strengthening their bond. Witnessing their journey toward an amazing partnership and a well-deserved happy ending was truly satisfying.
The angel has finally found her mate and her emotions again. She’ll need both in the war to c9me.
The group of young magical creatures that have been preparing for war, are finally able to use everything they’ve learned from working together to save their people. Their characters have evolved and grown into fully fleshed out persona that the author needed them to be, to become the leaders that everyone needs. Rosemary’s shift into a more loving and caring member rounds everyone out to make a formidable force to move the older prejudices and traditions to the side. Getting them all ready, ready for the battle of their lives.
What a great conclusion to Rosemary and Levi's story! Action packed, the story never slows down. The demons and Princes of Hell have arrived topside and are ready to take down the angels in Shadow City. It will take everyone--angels, shifters, vampires, witches, and even some good demons--working together to defeat them once and for all. Everyone has come so far in this series. Rosemary and Levi's relationship has come along way since the two of them met in Fallen Mate. They've become a stronger couple and that is very clear in this story. They work together and know that they are stronger together. And working together is the only thing that is going to defeat the Princes of Hell for good. Lots of twists and turns in this story. Secrets revealed in all sorts of ways. And an ending that changes the future of those in Shadow City forever. You don't want to miss this epic conclusion to Rosemary and Levi's arc! I can't wait for the next Shadow City world book!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Like always Jen L Grey's shadow city and shadow ridge series is a fantastic read!!! This is Rosemary and Levi's story but also their loved ones and enemies story as well, and its a great journey that keeps giving and making u want more!! I can't wait for Killians books bc I love him and been hoping he finds his mate Sierra too, and I know Jen will deliver it and we will also get their pack and friends that we love too!! A must read
A great ending to the Dark Angel books, Rosemary and Levi's story comes to a conclusion a lot of truths come out especially about Azbogah's role in everything he is basically the cause of the fallen angels and the creation of hell. War finally breaks out between the demons the fallen against the angels and all the other supernatural. Rosemary learns the truth about her parentage the war rages and many are lost worst of all is that the humans discover them all. What the repercussions of this will be time will tell. A great read lookforward to the next book.
Epic battles, spicy scenes, and we see character growth. Whew!! This is the book we were all waiting for and trust me there's plenty of fighting scenes to keep you engaged. All of the reveals were great!! I cannot wait to see what happens next with this group of friends. The narrator, Michelle Sparks did a wonderful job portraying Rosemary and Levi. She used a variety of tones and inflections for a variety of characters. I was able to feel a variety of emotions. So good!
Another one hit out of the ballpark! I cried a little when Azbogah died because for once he was thinking of someone besides his self. Now that the troubles with the demons are mostly taken care of, things should get better. You would think anyway, but you never know which direction Jen will go! I am glad Levi and Rosie get some peace and quiet but then things heat up again and off they go! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
So many questions answered, sheesh! I’ve been questioning Rosemary’s parentage for awhile and low and behold, I guessed right. 😂 The storyline behind the fallen angels was brilliant but heartbreaking. I’m bummed that we’re almost done with Shadow City though, at least we’ll get one more series. Can’t wait to read Killian’s story, bet it’s going to be the crowning Jewel. 😉
I loved this book. It was a good way to tie up most of the drama that started in the very first book of shadow city with Sterlyn and Griffin. It had action and heartfelt moments that had me tearing up. Even though there is another trilogy in the shadow city world, it kind of wraps up the drama that we were following in the city, but leaves a new piece of drama, at the end for the next book so we can finally see Killian’s love story.
My heart breaks for them. I know they all push through but really didn't see the new battle coming. Not fair. Will they ever have a time of peace and no heartbreak 💔
If you haven't read all of this authors books, start now! They are amazing and you won't want to stop. Adventure, family, friendship with a dash of love.
Oh I absolutely loved the conclusion to Rosemary and Levi's love story. I just can't get over how perfect they are for each other and absolutely love each other to the fullest no matter what got thrown at them. Loved the twists and turns that Jen is so good at doing. This was a great series of books to read.
This was an amazing series. I loved Rosemary and Levi story and I am so glad things worked out. I’m going to miss this group they have become such great friends. By reading there stories I feel like I have become part of that group and friendship. I do look forward to reading Killian story, so it’s not over yet. As Always another great read by Jen L Grey.
Love the Shadow City series. Love reading about Sterlyn, Griffin, Killian, Sierra, Rosemary, Syrus, Ronnie, Alex, Annie and Levi. Silver Wolf the first in the series the 2nd in the series Royal Vampire ,the third set in the series Demon Wolf, and now to the last in the Shadow City series The Dark Angel. this is another great book and series.
This was a fabulous resolution and the best part for me was the H and H fighting together to overcome. The forgiveness that poured out all over was just lovely, though sometimes this author gets a little too sappy. I can't wait for the witches books, and hope we'll finally see Erin get her dues.
So Rosemary and the other angels must prepare for a battle with their brethren the demons who have been locked away. To be so old they make the stupidest mistakes. Azbogah will get his because all his skeeming has come to the point where he has to put up or shut up! Killian needs a mate now!
Wow. Ugh this book had me on the edge the entire time.
The shock of Rosemary’s father was something I suspected earlier in the series but reading it still hit hard. And then for him to die fighting the demons. But I am glad they got to make up. This one was definitely my favorite book of the 4 in the Dark Angel series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
What an ending to this series!! Like the rest this is nonstop action. It has you flipping pages quickly to find out what happens next. There are characters you might have once hated that you begin to care for, which is shocking.
Also, I'm so curious on how the the new world will be in the next series.
One heck of a ride!! This entire collection has been phenomenal I actually didn’t want it to end , definitely so glad I found this collection, I’ve read it from the very beginning and it’s been a serious page turner right from the start …. Loved LOVED this whole collection!!!
I received an ARC for this book. What a great ending! Levi and Rosemary and their friends all have to survive the demon attack. Surprises show up in this book as well. It was so hard to put down. Now I'm ready for Killian's series!
The conclusion to Rosemary's story was pretty solid. Between all the things we had to get resolved in this one, I felt all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed and we weren't missing anything in the form of resolution. Great end to a series. We'll have to wait and see what she does next.
Holy howdy what a great love and life story. Opposite s do attract and everyone brings something to the table. I love Shadow City and am so excited for the rest of this WORLD!!!!
Ohhhi loved the ending to rosemary and levis story, this whole series has been amazing from start to finish, unexpected twists along the way, eagerly awaiting the next series already
So freaking good! Angels and Demons: The final battle is here! or is it? Loved how everything turn out but oh boy! My emotions were all over the place. Why I'm i crying for the villains?? That's how epic this showdown was! So freaking good!
