Welllll, hard to give this a star rating, but 2 because some 'songs' are just the first two lines ("Here Comes the Bride, All Dressed in White." Notation ends there).

Contents:
America
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Strangers in the Night ('Strangers in the Night, Exchanging Glances.' That's all you get)
Here Comes the Bride
A Tisket, A Tasket (in its entirety)
Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush
London Bridge
Ring Around a Rosy
Old MacDonald Had a Farm
Au Clair de la Lune
Way Down Upon the Swanee River
Shave and a Haircut, Two Bits
When Johnny Comes Marching Home
Mister Sandman (just: "Mister Sandman, Bring me a Dream." Ends there)
Row Row Row Your Boat
Mary Had a Little Lamb
California Here I Come
Comin' Through the Rye
Polly Wolly Doodle (annoyingly, just the first few lines, ending at the first 'Polly Wolly Doodle all the way.')
Good Night, Ladies
The Old Gray Mare
Pop Goes the Weasel
I've Been Working on the Railroad (that's it - you don't get "all the live-long day", even)
Happy Birthday (just the first 2 lines of that...)
Jingle Bells
Oh Susana
Comin' Round the Mountain
Three Blind Mice
My Old Kentucky Home
Yankee Doodle
Flow Gently, Sweet Afton
Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech
Lazy Mary
The Caissons Go Rolling Along
The Farmer in the Dell
Frere Jacques (only to the second 'dormez vous?')
Auld Lang Syne (first two lines only)

I've very disappointed that there was no "Help Me Rhonda!" on this. Yes, I'm aware that Short Circuit 2 didn't come out for many years after this book was published, but that is cold comfort.

Illustrated with captioned stills from silent movies. The captions were meant to be amusing but weren't.

2 stars simply because this book exists, and you can read it for free on OpenLibrary. And that's a small miracle in itself. :) Please donate to keep OpenLibrary and Archive.org afloat - it's a cultural imperative.
