A good summary of the major issues from 1815 to 1914 in British History mainly based on political issues of Great Britain. A good introductory history to cover the whole time span so as to get a complete flavour of the century then allowing further seperate selected reading into certain topics. Brief on each topic and skimming over a lot of details but then it needs to in order to be only 300 pages long and to cover a whole century in which so much occurred. Good how Lee looks at the different historical interpretations rationalising the meaning and motivation behind certain events.
