Trigger Warnings: assault, toxic relationship, stalker ex

This was an interesting novel, no doubt, with reference to heavy themes such as stalker exes and toxic relationships.

I loved that this novel was so much more at times than simply being a billionaire/nanny taboo slightly, romance.

It delved into themes of romance, companionship, and finding someone to support you through difficult times, and a loving relationship to children.

I loved the chemistry between the MCs, and the children as well. The side characters were great as well, with their own stories coming to light.

I loved the romance, wish it was explored more, and the demons that that plagued both MCs, I wish the MMC's had been explored more. Hence the two stars gone.

But I loved this overall story and how it set out to explore heavy themes as well, and do it in a way without triggering anyone (regardless I've still put up the triggers), and just be a light hearted novel to read too at times.

Violet and Shawn get to know each other better. But will her past destroy what may be building between her and her boss?

I loved how protective and close Violet was to the children. She truly cared about them and their safety. Is there a HEA in this story for her? Or will her ex destroy everything?

This is part of the Cape Worth Series but can be read as a standalone. Violet and Shawn will grab your heart as you watch their romance unfold. A stalker ex adds to the angst and danger. His boys are adorable and captured Violet's heart first. Shawn's a grump, a billionaire but he comes to Violet's defense when needed. An easy ready with likable characters. No cliffhanger and an HEA. Wow! Talk about a strong female with super focus, drive and ambition! I couldn’t imagine trying to work a job as a nanny, while trying stay hidden (left good teaching job) from a stalker ex boyfriend! Being in hiding and jumpy yet still focusing to be engaging and fun! I absolutely enjoyed this read. It had just the right amount of suspense and the right amount of spice to keep me hooked to the end. I'm a sucker for grumpy/sunshine. I'm a sucker for billionaire/nanny. I'm a sucker for complicated backstories. I mean, this has it all. I loved the journey the story took you on and Shawn and Violet deserve each other.

Shawn needs a nanny, again. Violet needs a job. Violet is a teacher by trade but she has moved across the country and does not have a teaching job yet. She needed to move quickly. She loves working with children. Shawn works from home but also goes into the office on occasion. Violet seems to have a special bond with children and is a natural with his boys. She has an understanding of what they need. It doesn’t take long for the boys to grow attached. The problem is Shawn is attracted to Violet and has become attached to her too. Feelings are involved. The thing he doesn’t know is what Violet thinks? Will they be able to stick to the employer/employee rules? What happens when Violet leaves unexpectedly? Will Shawn try to find her? Will she survive without Shawn’s protection? The characters were so different in the beginning, but as they become more comfortable and at ease with each other you can see their desire growing. Can they see what’s right in front of their eyes? This storyline has lots going on which keeps you interested. There are some twists and turns, starts and stops, uptake with fear, danger and deception. Is there any room for love?.

Violet comes to town hiding from her past. Her friends help her secure a job nannying for billionaire Shawn Hart. He's grumpy and curt with her to begin with and she's fine with that; she's there to care for his two boys after all. As time goes on and they learn more about each other (including the past that Violet is hiding from) and they grow closer. But will the past ultimately be the thing that tears them apart? Will Shawn learn to tell Violet how he is truly feeling and not just retreat and growl?

This book has one of my favorite tropes, grumpy sunshine so you know I was in for the ride. I also loved the characters and Violet was taking care of herself even as she was hiding. Shawn has the dirty talk down perfectly and he pulled it out of Violet too! It could have been weird that he was her boss but Shawn even had a solution for that once he decided he wanted to pursue a relationship.

Can Blake Scale The Wall Violet Has Erected To Protect Herself?

Fantastic story! I totally enjoyed how the author was able to weave their magic & tell Violet & Blake's story. Blake is an older, grumpy billionaire who has just hired Violet to be his kids nanny. Violet needs this job as she is trying to start over after escaping her past. The sparks of attraction flowing between Blake & Violet are intense until they reach combustion point.
The journey that Blake & Violet are on is an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Blake is conflicted about his feelings for Violet as he is her boss but when Violet's dangerous past catches up with her he does not hesitate to protect her. Can these two overcome the many hurdles thrown their way to have a chance at building a HEA or will her past destroy it all?
I loved this book & can't wait to read more from this author.

This book was sexy and fun!
I have been getting into the nanny romances lately (I blame my re-watch of the classic show The Nanny) and this one does a good job of building the chemistry between the two characters without making it seem like he's a creepy boss. I love the protective hero and Blake created a great one. He had me swooning that's for sure! I also really liked the heroine. She wasn't a weakling and she had her protective side to.
These two had instant chemistry and I couldn't get enough of it. Very steamy!
The kids were cute. I liked that they didn't take too much away from the romance.
This was a steamy, quick read that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good nanny or billionaire romance.

✔ I liked Violet and Shawn's character and the chemistry between them.
✔ I found the dynamics between the kids and Violet extremely cute.
✔ I liked the storyline. It's sweet, romantic, dramatic, intense and oooo spicy hot.
✔ I loved Kate's character, She sounded quite quirky and witty.
✔ It's an easy quick read.

This is the first time I review this author, Book 2 of the Cape Worth Billionaire Series but it can be read as a standalone and its told in dual POV which I love!
Violet is a teacher taking a job as a live in nanny to start over due to a bad stalking relationship.
She is a bit of a mess mentally and it shows in her actions and thought process. She is sweet, caring and great with kids.
Shawn is mega rich, gruff, hot tempered not very talkative, a bit abrupt, bad manners and not very likeable.
Together they have awesome chemistry and each protects the other in their own way when the past shows up.
I think some situations could have been handled better and its stretches probability in places but overall its a cute HEA, fast read.

Violet relocates and takes a job as a nanny to escape a stalker. Shawn is the billionaire father she is working for. Seeing how his kids are bonding with Violet has him drawn to her. He starts asking her friend for more information about her especially when he notices how jumpy Violet is. Then one day he asks Violet out to lunch and asks her himself about what brought her to town. They start growing closer after that. However, its not long before her stalker shows up causing problems. Will Violet leave again to keep Shawn and his family safe? Can Shawn convince her to take a chance with him?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I loved this book, it was easy to follow and the storyline just flowed. Making the characters just a perfect match. Violet and Shawn were great characters, their chemistry was smoking, This book was well written and the storyline was well thought out. Shawn being a right grumpy man who finally hires Violet to be his nanny to his two little boys. I loved that they both had baggage from previous relationships, only Violets sx is a bit of a nut job. I like how they both made an effort to get to know each other, making them both realise that they could have a great relationship. It's just that they both get caught up in drama, which they have to fight if they want a happy ending. Great book, Highly recommend

Violet had a good life with lots of friends and a teaching job she loved but that was all destroyed by Eric her boyfriend gone control freak stalker. To escape she fled across the country leaving her world behind. Shawn is a very successful boat builder on the east coast. He needs a nanny for his two adorable sons, Leon and Brady. Enter Violet. Shawn starts out as grumpy sour pus but the delightful Violet soon wins not only the two boys but their Dad too. Shawn steps in to secure Violet's safety and rid her of her stalker. Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. The plot and genre is pretty straight forward, focus on billionaire and employer-employee romance and her needing help (hence the protector bit). The steam level is slow burn at the start and sizzling when they finally give in to their attraction. The issue Violet was facing was facing although caused some tension, nothing really scary or serious came of it; I thought it could be taken up a notch so there could be more oomph. Nevertheless the romance between Shawn and Violet is pretty sweet and Shawn comes across as alpha and protective, and their HEA epilogue is just so romantic.

I love books by this author and really liked this premise. The grumpy single dad is always a favorite of mine. Great characters with a good secondary stalker plot. But there was something missing for me with this. Violet gets hired as a nanny and Shawn doesn't even introduce her to his kids? He just welcomes her in and goes to work? There was very little mutual attraction between them and the whole thing was very stilted and disjointed. There was no background as to why Shawn was as unpleasant as he was to everyone. It's a quick read and there are some great parts of it but it was just missing something for me.

Violet finds herself fantasising about him but nothing can happen between. However, what Violet doesn't realise is that Shawn is finding it just as difficult to stay away from her, he wants her but he is her boss.
What happens when they finally give into their attraction to each other. When Violets ex finds her, she decides to run away to protect Shawn and his kids, but what will that mean for their relationship.

I enjoyed reading this story and would recommend it.

I loved this book. This was Forbidden attraction between the Billionaire and his kids Nanny.
Shawn needed a stay at home Nanny and Violet needed a new job. Her friend and his friend are a couple, they recommended Violet to Shawn.
Violet is a teacher her but had to move her whole life because of an obsessed ex.
So one thing leads to another and they get together. But Violets past comes back to threaten those she cares about. There was some Suspense around that.
Can Violet actually leave her past and move on? Will Shawn forgive Violet for her actions?
I loved the 2 boys, they were super cute. I would say my only issue was, I would have liked to know what happened to the boys mum. There was no backstory there.
Definitely give this a read, it was very spicy too.

This story was so hot!! Violet who was running from her crazy stalking ex moved away to start a new life. She took a job as a nanny for Shawn who was a brooding hot single dad. Violet and Shawn had chemistry and were so good together. Shawn’s dirty talk definitely got Violet out of her shyness. There were some issues with the ex because he just refused to let Violet go but eventually the couple was able to move on and have their HEA. Get the book! It hot, sensual and suspenseful. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Never overlook second chances!! This is about Violet and Shawn. Shawn has two sons that need a nanny and Violet needs a job as she is trying to start over with hopes to not be found. Shawn is attracted to her but for the sake of the kids he is staying her distance until she tries to hit him with a Pam one night he comes home. After finding out what Violet is hiding from, he makes it a point to help her, but when her past threatens her, she decides to leave. Can they make this work? Love the story!.

Good read with romance with a bit suspense.
Violet had fled to Cape Worth to be free of a bad relationship. Her friends helped her get a job as a nanny until she could find work as a teacher. Violet instantly connected to the boys and broke through the shell that hid Shawn’s heart. She doesn’t know how but her ex had found her. Living in fear for herself and her charges had her running to a friend with plans to move again. Her heart belonged to Shawn. There was danger and fear but Shawn was there as promised to take care of her.

Their chemistry is so hot it boils. But will their physical relations turn into anything else? Will Violet's past stay where it is, or is it heading for her present location?
This is another fantastic book by Emma Blake. Another one of her five star plus, can't put down, page turner.

Great book, I liked that we got to catch up with Layla and Troy from a previous read.

I could not put this book down. I needed to know what was going to happen. I can relate so much with Violet on the ex stalker crazy person vibes. So the anxiety she felt, so did I. Knowing and feeling that constant need to look over my shoulder. Her finding her Knight to protect her and keep her safe, is exactly what my husband did when we first started dating.
This book had so many feels and emotions. Amazing Job Emma!.

What an amazing book. I loved it!! The main characters Violet and Shawn were so relatable sweet. Violet had a problem with a stalker so changed cities and jobs to escape him. Shawn took her in as a nanny for his two boys. They couldn't fight their attraction and slowly fell in love. She had to find a way to fix her problem with her stalker before she could be free to be with Shawn. The story did not feel rushed in anyway. I loved the love story of Violet and Shawn. So cute.

Violet is hired as the nanny for Shawn's kids but when her past catches up with her it puts them all at risk.
This is sweet and romantic with heaps of steam but also dramatic and intense as, while the situation gets scary.
I loved the connection and the passion between the two of them. It really was a fun aspect of the story.
This was a great book and the first from this author but not the last. Great story!!.

Really great story. Violet is hiding from her ex who has been stalking her. She gets a job as a nanny for Shawn Hart. He's grouch, curt, abrupt, and downright nasty. Violet ends up really caring for the boys, they are becoming her life. As Violet and Shawn get to know each other they develop an amazing relationship. The past always has a way of showing up. Will Shawn be able to keep Violet safe from the danger? Will Shawn become her protector? Great storyline and wonderful characters.
