Relational Presentation: A Visually Interactive Approach, 2007 Edition

Rate this book
This book explores the Relational Presentation process, where a presenter has dynamic, random access to hundreds, or perhaps even thousands, of visually rich slides while presenting. Instead of robotically advancing through a single linear slide show full of bullet points, he or she can illustrate spontaneous thoughts on-the-fly, answer audience questions, skip or add material, and otherwise sculpt a message to the situation at hand, all while using the same PowerPoint software everyone else is using. Relational presenters approach an audience very differently compared to most speakers. Their style is conversational, flexible, and responsive. This book is a graduate-level, full-course textbook with hands-on exercises and more than 500 full-color illustrations throughout. It also features a link and password readers can use to download associated digital files and course resources. This version of the textbook is designed for use with PowerPoint 2007. Learners apply the methods gradually to their own presentation materials, creating a structure that resembles a Web site, yet formed exclusively with PowerPoint.
