Picking up where Sins of the Father left off, Davis gives readers the ending they wanted, but not expected!
Sonny Consentino and his brothers want nothing more than to avenge their father. Trouble is, they have no idea who killed him. Now tied up with an Italian crime boss, they work to hold their territory while capturing others throughout New York.
So, I really want to give more of a synopsis of this book, but it would just give it all away if I did. I think this book is equally divided between Sonny and his brother-in-law Buster. While the first book was Sonny’s origin story, this one was Buster’s but with a continuation of the first book mixed together. There are some significant twists in this book that is likely to blow readers minds, especially at the end. What a great work. I highly recommend reading the first book before you jump on to this one!

If you ever wanted to fill like you were reading a movie, this series is a great one to do so. If Vincent B. Davis II can continue to work on his craft, he is going to be one incredible storyteller. I cannot wait, and hope that there will be, the third edition to this series. Vincente and Vico have some serious unfinished business.

Mind is still reeling after reading!!
Oh wow!! Twists you don't see coming!! I had some issues at first in keeping characters straight, just pay attention. Story kinda slow in a few spots but it's so good!! If you like 1920-30s mobster stories, you won't regret reading this!!

Great read
I love the storytelling. It does a great job of picking right up where sins of the father left off. Kept me intrigued and interested throughout.
I was a bit confused why the first book had chapters of a court hearing where this book completely abandoned that part of the story.
All in all I really enjoyed both books and hope a third one is in the works.
Also, could use a little better editing. Judging by the simple mistakes and oversights that the books are self edited.

Blood of the Sons picks up right where book 2 left off. We get tons of Sonny & Buster POVs as well as some characters we have not yet seen too much of.
I loved the politics between all of the families and the relationships that were built. It was also nice to see more of Busters backstory and see glimpses of him and Vico in the war.
We do get some answers at the end of this book but are left with so many more questions! I need/ hope a book 3 is coming 👀

Not as Thrilling
The names did to change as the time passes. The characters refers to several actual people as the story is told. The violence is described after the actions. I was not engrossing.

Traditional Mafia Story
The Mafia is at war. Three brothers are in the middle of it. All they really want to do is find the man who killed their father. Then they will kill him. The book is slow to read. It is difficult to keep all the names separate.

Very good book, lots of action. Difficult to follow. This book tries to follow the same format at the Godfather II (the movie) did, with going back and fourth in time. While it works well on the screen it is difficult to follow in print. The book leaves me wanting more and was well worth reading.

Good gangster saga, but lots of typos
I liked the series, but needs better editing. Typos on almost every page gets distracting. The story is good with a surprise ending.

The story itself is very good, but the author definitely needs to hire a better editor/proofreader. It’s maddening at times.
