Abby is an awesome addition to the Second Chance series. Abby is a wonderfully written character, whom, despite her upbringing in the glamorous world of Hollywood, is a hard worker with her feet planted firmly on the ground. She’s loyal and has a big heart. Jackson is awesome as well. His love for his family and friends will endear him to everyone and leave you swooning. He has a protective streak a mile wide, without being overbearing. I love the main characters in DeSalvo’s stories, but it is the secondary characters who keep me coming back for more. That brings me to Tante Izzy. She is, without a doubt, one of the best characters I’ve read in years, IF NOT EVER. She IS the aunt/grandmother/friend/sister that everyone would love to have. She’s funny as hell, but it is her heart that will leave everyone clamoring for more. Her group of besties are just icing on the cake. If you enjoy a simmering romance with some of the best secondary characters you’ll ever read, the Second Chance Novels are definitely for you. I cannot wait to return to Cane. Well done, Tina DeSalvo! Very, very, very well done!!!!!
She comes from Hollywood Royalty, which makes her fall from grace all the more interesting to the paparazzi and millions of people who have no idea what Abigail McCord is going through. Instead of following in the family’s acting footsteps, Abby made her own way as an attorney. She also joined her good friend, Elli, in raising money for a cause near and dear to her heart, but that important effort was destroyed when someone steals their famous donors’ money and personal information. And the police believe the thief is her. Now she’s run from one LA to another as she hides in Cane, Louisiana trying to get by until she can return home.
Too bad there isn’t a statute of limitations on the public’s memory.
Jackson Bienvenu spent his adult life in the military loving his work, but initially because he desperately wanted to get out of Cane and away from all the people who know his dreadful beginnings. Now all he wants is to be home and start a life and family in the one place he now knows he belongs. Abby, a Second Chance novel by Tina DeSalvo
A lovely southern romance with a hint of suspense. Part of a series but can be read on its own.
Mixed with lots of Cajun customs, Cajun language and localized dishes. With uncommon friendships and support.

What a fun read filled with crime, mystery, romance and laughter. The characters were perfect for this story. Abby and Jackson were like the spark that was left from a fire hot and spicy. I love the second chance consignment store. Truly love how this store would assist ladies who need a second chance in life after a struggled relationship, health issues etc. It was very touching that two characters both went through breast cancer and survived it to share this wonderful store with others. Tina truly out did her self with this series bringing love and strength to us all. Heartwarming, inspiring and motivating story. Tante Izzy was my favorite character who was funny, a fighter and a true friend.

What happens between her Jackson is unexpected to say the least.

I loved Abby and Jackson's story. Such a heartwarming story showing the power of love and friendship in a town. This story showed me that no matter what you have to face there is always someone there to stand at your back. Tante Izzy is one of my favorite characters in Tina's books and I'm looking forward to see what will happen in Cane next.

The side story of her alleged involvement with the fraud that occurred made this a very interesting story. As always, the love story that unravels is great. I love the tension between the two until it comes full circle. The Second Chance Series is a winner!!

Abby by Tina DeSalvo is an awesome read. Ms. DeSalvo has delivered a well-written book. The characters are lively and lovable, and my favorite part of the book. Abby, a lawyer from LA is in hiding from the paparazzi in cajun country. Jackson is retired Navy JAG and now a lawyer in the small town where Abby is hiding. Their story is fun to read with plenty of suspense, drama, sizzle and laugh out loud humor. I totally enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by Tina DeSalvo. Abby is book 3 in the A Second Chance Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

**Some Spoilers** This is the 3rd book in Tina DeSalvo's, Second Chance series. Abby (aka. Cinder-Hollywood) and Jackson (ex-SEAL but let's everyone think he was a JAG), are working together in Jackson and Beau's lawyer firm to get landowner sign-off on a levee that will be constructed. But the unexpected twist of who becomes Abby's stalker, was surprising to me but made sense. Abby is in Cane, only temporary to help her BFFs Elli and Jewell in the opening of Second Chance Consignment Shop., but of course she gets smart and decides to stick it out with Jackson.
I really enjoyed Abby's story, and also the previous stories of Jewell and Elli. The connection with Abby and Elli with both being survivors of breast cancer and their foundation work for GeneID. I would have liked to know if Frank Reynolds was caught in Cuba, and seriously, Ruby needs her story written.

Received an ARC copy from the author for an honest review
While reading Tina DeSalvo’s “Abby”, I was taken back to memories of sitting on the front porch listening to my grandparents tell stories of their youth. This story has the laid back feel of the south, spending time with friends and family…and always having each other’s back no matter what. The author has woven a beautiful romance between a reluctant Prince Charming, Jackson, and a woefully out of her element Cinder-Hollywood, Abby.
Loved Abby and Jackson’s story, and I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! It has everything I could possibly want in a romance! So go and one-click this amazing story! Highly recommend!

Wow....there is something about reading books based on your own home. These characters and setting are so familiar. It’s the people I grew up with and the places I grew up in. Abby and Jackson are just two more people you can’t help but pull for. I loved their story.
I don’t know what took me so long to read this series. I wish I had read it sooner. The leading men at all so dreamy.

Abby
Tina DeSalvo brought to life the meaning of true friendship in the story of Abby and Jackson. It was a rocky road for their love story; tears , laughs and giggles. The town on Cane, LA would be a wonderful place to live with all the loving people there. Everyone should read this for that warm and fuzzy love story.

Abby and Jackson’s story was so complicatedly beautiful. I was kept on my seat with all the twist and turns. Their encounter were spicy hot. I thoroughly enjoyed Tina’s Second Chance novels.

This is the third book in the Second Chance Series by Tina DeSalvo. After reading the first book, I was attached to Cane, Louisiana and knew I would be reading the other books in the series. The characters are wonderfully, loving created. The story is carefully constructed and everything falls into place and is realistic. This book has romance, mystery and suspense. It had many different plots going on and each one held my interest throughout.
Abby is the child of famous actors and did not follow in their footsteps. She is an attorney. She and Elli (from book 1) met while going through breast cancer treatments. They later set up a foundation to help breast cancer victims. In this book, they are also opening the Second Chance Consignment Store to help women in various other ways. While doing all this good, Abby was accused of stealing from her foundation and the people that donated to it.
Jackson is an attorney in Cane, Louisiana where Abby went to hide from the limelight, the paparazzi that constantly follow her, and help set up the store. Jackson needs help with his work and Abby needs income, so they become a team. Jackson does not totally trust and believe Abby but as time goes on, he sees her true self.
This is a romance story, so yes; it does have a happy ending which is why romance is my favorite genre to read. I definitely recommend this book and the entire series.

A really sweet read from new to me author Tina DeSalvo. Abby was looking for a place to hide and a chance to regroup. Cane, LA was just that place. Working with her best friend to set up a second hand store she tried to keep her head down but Jackson kept turning her head. Working close with him on a project keeps them in close quarters where their attraction grew. But Abby has no plans to stay in Cane and Jackson is ready to set down roots. Will Abby be able to set her troubles behind her and find a way to stay with Jackson or will she continue to run? I jumped in to the Second Chance series with book three and I felt it could almost be read as a stand alone novel but with the number of secondary characters that contributed to the story-line I think it would had been more enjoyable is I started from the first book. Other than that, great read!

Because it is the way I read, I had to get the “voices” right in my head for the story. Not an easy feat when you aren’t from the south and are reading deeply southern stories. Jackson is a native son extraordinaire who has returned home working as an attorney. That’s about all I’m going to tell you so I don’t spoil it. Abby – hooboy, there is SO much to unpack with this girl! It’s hard not to love her as some of the folks in the world treat her like dirt. She is so much more than the child of famous parents; she just has to have the opportunity to prove it. And Tante Izzy...I REALLY needed to hear her dialogue (in what I thought was her voice) as I read the story. Made more sense to me that way. She is a hoot and by far my favorite character. She sure keeps everyone on their toes! Good story with some kah-razee characters!

What a delightful mystery story with fantastic characters. Jackson and Abby feared love and did everything to stay away from it. I swooned when Jackson would flirt and can just picture the scenes. I loved how Loveless protected his wife for sixty-five years and would love to see how she punishes him. The NCPP group are the best! Great writing Tina! Loved how Tina took a serious subject like Cancer and wove it into this series.

Another wonderful addition to this world that Tina has created! I was rooting for Abby, and loved how karma wrapped up the ending. I was hoping to get a Jackson story after reading Jewell. I was happy to get a lot of side character interaction, as well. Tante Izzy is the best!! Who wouldn't love Thelma and Louise?!
I can't wait for the next one!

This story is amazing! These characters…well, you can’t help but fall in love with them. Tante Izzy, she is something special. Always looking out for others. This book was enjoyable from page one until the last word. I highly recommend it!

This book has excellent writing by the author. The characters are so well developed that I want a Tante Izzy in my life. And if you want to know who Tante Izzy is - well, read the book. All three of them have been amazing!!!!
