Lines are drawn and intentions are made clear as we return to Liberty Falls. We follow on from Perrie’s meeting in the green zone, with the community in unanimous agreement to stand against Viv and her efforts to acquire their land.
Viv and her business partners will stop at nothing to bring the ranching community to its knees, leaving Perrie no choice but to navigate the unprecedented situations she finds herself in and keep pushing forward.
Join Perrie and her family in their unrelenting fight to rid Liberty Falls of the scourge of “Progression” and maintain their efforts to continue their way of life.
The fight for the Jameson ranch and land continues in book 2 and despite throwing everything at it, using whatever means necessary, Viv was still up against it and losing the battle. She hadn't banked on the tenacity of Perrie who would give up everything to protect the family and their home. What a fantastic sequel! This talented author has you hooked from the start and both excited and captivated as you literally gallop through the chapters to find out how this whole mess unfolds. The plot twists and turns with plenty of chicanery and corruption sourced at the highest level, old secrets revealed and acts of bravery or stupidity, depending on where you stand! Either way, this is a great follow on book, extremely well written and I look forward to reading the next. Great job!
Following on from the first book in the series, The Return: Liberty Falls: Book One, this is an enjoyable continuation. The story describes Perrie’s fight to keep the Jameson family ranch safe from Aunt Viv and her developers and is an intriguing tale. The twists and turns captured my attention from the start, and it was good to get to know the characters better. An enjoyable read.
Days after Perrie was involved in a car accident in book 1 she is back to work trying to save Liberty Falls from her Aunt Viv and the evil investors. But with her abusive ex husband Nick as Viv’s attorney they are playing dirty. Will Perrie resort to the same underhanded tactics or will she stay on the right side of the law. She treads a very thin line especially when she gets involved in a motorcycle gang and worse still someone has placed a bounty on her and her family and friends heads. Through all this there is the blossoming relationship between Perrie and Ryan but it’s hit a slightly rocky patch because of Ryan’s ex, Amber being pregnant, with presumably his child. But when Amber gets involved with Nick it just adds to the danger. The writing style was excellent and was well paced. The constant danger that Perrie and the gang face adds to the suspense leaving you wanting more. I sincerely hope after the cliffhanger that this ends on that there is a third book coming soon.
My goodness, what just happened? Lol 😆 How could you leave me hanging like that, on a cliffhanger? Now I know how it feels for the reader when you are left suspended like this… lol. As I've done it myself. This isn't the only book of Sarah Jacobson’s that I have read and she doesn't fall short. It was a great read and one I would recommend. I realised I was going to have to read on (book three) when it came to 86% and the end didn't seem clear, then 96% and it was nowhere nearing a conclusion… Wow! Now I really need to read book three. You are killing me lol...
This isn’t the type of book I read, but it was recommended and I thought I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed. A very well-written novel that continues the Jameson’s story from book one, (The Return—which I haven’t read but will now that I have read this one) and leaves you with a cliffhanger setting up book three. All the appropriate plot twists and turns are present making this a thoroughly engaging read.
I enjoyed this book more and more the further I got into it. The heroine, Perrie, is a very likable character, and I found myself routing for her and her handsome boyfriend.as they battles to save Liberty Falls. A very good read with lots of twists and turns, and some unexpected characters popping up along the way. I would have liked to have seen less F words, if I'm being honest. That said, this is a good book, and I can highly recommend it.
Fantastic follow-up! Fire and Aces Liberty Falls follows on from Book 1 The Return and continues Pierre’s fight against Aunt Viv and her cohort of developers. With twists and turns, great characters and a well-written story, Sarah has created a fantastic follow-up that keeps you turning the page. On to Black Horse Book 3 which I have on my Kindle. Great series and highly recommended!
More bang for your buck! A thrilling sequel to The Return, Fire & Aces continues New York attorney Perrie Jameson's struggle to save her rural Tennessee family ranch from corruption and her manipulative, greedy Aunt Viv's grip. Perrie's return to work days after her car accident sees the challenges piling up. With a bounty placed on her and her loved ones' heads, tensions mount as Perrie resorts to underhanded tactics to protect her family and friends. The relationship between Perrie and Ryan hits a rocky patch with news of his ex-girlfriend Amber's pregnancy – is Ryan the father? The drama ramps up when Amber gets involved with Nick, Perry's abusive ex-husband and Aunt Viv's attorney. Perrie's tenacity and determination to protect her family home is admirable, while Aunt Viv's greedy manipulation makes her a formidable villain. Throw in a motorcycle gang, a few mechanical bulls, and incriminating photographs for another exciting, entertaining read. As usual, Sarah Jacobson's well-paced writing style kept me turning pages into the wee hours with every twist and turn of the plot. Fire & Aces ends with a bang and another cliffhanger, so I'll have to grab Book Three in the Liberty Falls series soon.

Liberty Falls: Fire and Aces by Sarah Jacobson is the second book in the continuing saga of the Jameson family and their fight to save the ranch that has been in the family for generations from Viv Jameson and her band of ruthless property developers. They don’t just want the ranch, though. They are set on acquiring the surrounding land, other ranches and farms, and even the old town of Liberty Falls. And they will stop at nothing, even murder, to get what they want. Perrie Jameson has two fights on her hand. She is determined to stop her aunt. Her family, the ranch hands and most of the town are with her. But will that be enough? She is also struggling with her relationship with ranch foreman, Ryan. Can their love survive all that is thrown at them? This is an epic read and I can’t wait to read the next instalment.
This genre is typically not my cup of tea, but I decided to give it a read with an open mind.
FIRE AND ACES is book two in the continuing story of a successful New York attorney Perrie Jameson. She returns home to reconnect with her family and ancestral roots in Tennessee where she is compelled to help save the family ranch and also the ranch from the evil, greedy, Aunt Vivian who plans to turn the ranching community into a 21st Century Disney-land like destination using her prowess, corruption, and own money.
I haven’t read the first book and reading this book, second in the series, I was able to follow it in most instances. I wasn’t sure about the different relationships in the beginning, and then it developed and I understood. This book was extremely detailed and the characters well developed. The ending was a cliffhanger which may entice readers to Book number three.
I loved this second book in the ‘Liberty Falls’ series; such a page-turner! I really enjoyed the plot, character development, and the naturalistic dialogue. The story is well-paced, with enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing and the tension high. Army veteran, Brandon, is an interesting support player, whom I hope to learn more about in due course. Viv continues to be a boo-worthy villain and gang leader, Crow, is an intriguing new addition to the cast. This is easily one of my favourite reads this year, and I can’t wait to discover what happens next, especially after that explosive finale!
It definitely kept me turning pages, I'll be reading the next in line ASAP. I've really enjoyed reading this author. She has a great writing style with a little fear for her characters.
A well written story with believable characters and a nice intrigue ranging from fires – threats – and being attacked. Poor Perrie has a lot to put up with, just as well she has Ryan…and what a cliffie on the final page!
Tumultuous danger is always felt but never over egged. Characters are fleshed out and if you enjoyed book one there’s only one devious decision… The answer being yes, yes you should get this and book 3 by all means nevesssart
