What happens when three friends/coworkers go on a tropical vacation to Belize? Their other coworkers get super jealous of them. What happens when they send random photos/videos of their Belize vacation without any context? One of the jealous coworkers, who has an overactive imagination, starts to imagine all sorts of potential weirdness and danger they might encounter. What happens when they hear some of the potential weirdness and danger they might encounter? They unanimously give him permission to run wild with it. Was this a mistake? Most definitely! The following tale has been exaggerated and twisted greatly from the stories they told. The names stayed the same but everything else was drowned in so much artistic license that it is almost unbelievable. Please enjoy the harrowing tale of their much needed, and well deserved, tropical vacation adventure in Belize.
From the very beginning, I found the characters incredibly relatable. The workplace setting made it easy for me to picture my own coworkers in their roles, which added a nice touch of familiarity. What I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy the humor woven into this horror story. It felt fresh and fun, even when the creepy parts were giving me chills! There were definitely moments when I felt that spine-tingling suspense, which I think is a hallmark of a good horror read. As I got closer to the end, I started piecing together the mystery, and while I was on the right track, I was genuinely shocked when the truth came out. It’s always great when a book can keep you guessing like that! The ending left me with a bit of a cliffhanger, which sometimes frustrates me, but I’ve come to appreciate how those open endings can leave you thinking long after you’ve put the book down. Overall, I found this book to be a delightful mix of humor and horror, and I think it will stick with me for a while. If you’re looking for something that’ll keep you on your toes while still making you chuckle, this one might just be for you!
