Really a very great resource! I would definitely recommend it and plan to use the tips and recipes very very soon! If only she wasn't so obsessed with her own face, success, and appearances on Rachael Ray. 🙄
Lots and lots of information, not just recipes. Information on food storage, budgeting, how to tell if fruits/veggies are ripe, substitutions, conversions... And then lots of ideas on how to make your own recipes as well as the author's personal favorites. Be prepared to hear a lot about her husband "Bubba" and 8 kids(!!!) throughout.
As a cookbook collector this is an Excellent Cookbook. Love that it is just more than recipes, it has guides, tips and tricks, and love the small personalized details of where she got her recipes from (friends, families, and neighbors). It guides you through frugal meal planning, shopping your own pantry, and shows you how to get creative with your leftovers. Can't wait to purchase this cookbook as gifts for friends and family.
