I love how Peter Sears sneaks humor into his work—the way his poems try to be cranky but end up winking sweetly at you. And I admire how his talented craft can sometimes trick you into a serious place too, where you forget you’re reading a poem. This is a book full of great moments from one of Oregon’s best poets ever.
