One notorious hacker. One disgraced cyber crimes cop. One missing person case, and a fight for our lives.
I’d spent my whole life running from the law. So when Quinn Radnor showed up on my doorstep, I decided I was taking prisoners. But I got more than I bargained for when he asked for my help.
Quinn wasn’t your typical undercover cop, and having him stuck in my space, and my bed, proved to be a complication I couldn’t ignore. As I dug through his past, each new fact I revealed brought more questions than answers, and had me looking at him in a whole new light.
Searching the globe for his young friend was our focus, but I couldn’t escape the riot of feelings the man brought to my quiet life. With my solitude interrupted, would his presence and skills be what was needed to save the teen, or was it already too late?
Ellie Isaacson has been an avid reader her whole life, but a couple years ago she had a dream that she just couldn't forget. She cultivated that dream and began writing, which became a dream of a different sort. Ellie is thrilled to be able to share her passion with her readers. As an accountant and an author, she slings numbers by day and words by night. She's also a wife and a mother of two amazing boys and one crazy hellion pup.
Getting the full story of Mateo’s best friend Zoe was definitely worth the wait. Her childhood was unpredictable and unstable. So her upbringing naturally followed her into adulthood. Quinn was a cop who would not give up. Dedicated and persistent. While searching for a missing teenager, his search leads him to Zoe. I loved their relationship and the bond and connection they formed. It was heartwarming to see Zoe blossom and come into her own. Both her and Quinn really needed each other. Not just find the missing boy. But for themselves as well. You don’t know what you are missing in your life until the right person shows up. A sweet and spicy story that had me hooked from start to finish.
Finally we get to know Zoe!!!! I've been dying to know more about this computer genius since I was relieved she was Mateo's best friend and not someone who was going to come between him and Queenie. Zoe Shaw is such a strong heroine but she's vulnerable at the same time. Quinn is the same as Zoe. Both of them with pasts that can break a person. The way the story unfolds and the way they manages to break each other's walls is gripping. The Hacker was so Good! Lots of suspense and drama. Of course plenty of laughs when it comes to the camaraderie between anyone who is with the Medina - D'Angelo family. Even the fur babies manage to make me laugh. I love this series! I love the way the stories are all stand alones but we get a glimpse of so many of our favorite characters. I definitely finished this book with a smile and a "feel good" feeling but just like the other books in this series I'm left intrigued and wanting more.
Shaw’s story is finally here and it’s nothing I expected…it’s even better❣️Shaw is the Hacker that helped Mateo, her best friend when he needed help…now Shaw’s story is revealed and it’s heartbreaking but also filled with something Shaw doesn’t do….relationships, friendships and attachments😢
Quinn is trying to find a hacker who can help him find a teenage boy that has gone missing, as the police are not interested in helping and as a cyber cop he’s now been suspended which means he can’t use the resources available to him😳
Quinn and Shaw’s story is GREAT and I did not want to stop reading it…I’m excited for what Ellie has in store for us next🤩 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
This book was amazing! It’s fast paced and has that element of suspense that makes it darkly sensual and absolutely delicious.
Quinn and Shaw have such a unique relationship that magnifies the intensity of their situation. It’s playful and scorching and completely heartbreaking at times.
‘And that fire burning between us leapt across my skin, scorching every inch of me and leaving me begging to have more.’
One of my favorite things about Ellie Isaacson’s writing is the depth of emotion you feel for her characters. Their world is dark and dangerous but the light and safety and love they find in each other makes my heart so full.
I’m obsessed with this book and this series and absolutely cannot wait for the next one!
The Hacker by Ellie Isaacson is the mesmerizing story of Quinn and Shaw. Shaw left to investigate a situation. She has a life and a business….but, she also has a mission. She meets Quinn, who has his own agenda. He’s been searching for her (and her information) for three years. But, nothing could prepare either of them for what’s to come!!
Loved this story!!!!! It was entertaining, absorbing, exciting, full of action, and romance, and just what you need to sit and read for awhile!!!! Absolutely entrancing, full of twists and turns, unputdownable….and I LOVED IT!!!!!
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Arc Review- This is part of the D’Angelo Syndicate series but is a complete stand alone with some character crossovers.
I really loved this book. Seeing Zoe find herself slowly and recovering from her past was done really well. I enjoyed the banter between her and Quinn and watching their relationship develop. They both definitely need to work on their communicating but their journey was a fun one to watch.
The mystery of where Levi was and what was going on was interesting to discover and I loved how this one ended.
Well this book certainly delivered a lot of action and drama. Fast paced with intrigue this book will have you on the edge of your seat. Shaw and Quinn are amazing together and although their relationship is very new and rocky you cannot help but want them to have their HEA. Two people from very different worlds are brought together for the same reason. Ellie Isaacson is a new author to me but I enjoyed this book and her writing very much I am bound to read more of her work.
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Shaw is a character who has fascinated me through previous books by this author and I was very much looking forward to reading this story. It certainly lived up to my expectations.
Two broken and damaged people, one a hacker, the other a law enforcement officer. Both drawn together to help find a missing child, when the attraction strikes.
A brilliant story that can be read as a stand alone, but is so much better when read as part of the series.
I think Shaw is my favorite heroine of Issacson’s so far. She delicately balanced the bad*ss hacker with the fragile woman with commitment and abandonment issues. This book had plenty of action and probably the spiciest book to date written 🌶. Highly recommend.
I was engaged throughout this book. It was a fun read. The exact thing you need for a change. Quinn has a soft side for Zoe. Zoe is one who can stand on her own. They had a nice connection with each other. I feel as though it had a nice realistic spin to it.
A story of opposites attract. A hacker and a cop, what could possibly go wrong there?! Both characters are very closed off but find a connection deeper than either were expecting. Working together towards a common goal forces them both to question what they thought they knew. For Shaw it’s her relationship ideals. For Quinn it’s his right versus wrong mentality. Don’t worry, plenty of spicy scenes thrown into this mystery of finding Levi. Ends with a HEA!
Ellie Isaacson never ceases to blow my mind with her stories. She knows how to write them and keep the reader so extremely engaged in the story. I always love a good hacker story and the language that comes along with that subject because I know absolutely nothing about it and feel like I am learning at the same time and there was plenty of learning to be had with The Hacker.
Zoe and Quinn had me really pulling for them. They both deserve happiness because neither one of has had much positivity in their lives recently. I really, really enjoyed the relationship that developed between these two. The way they would goof around with each other and were not all serious 100% of the time. Then there were the more intimate moments between them, the connection that is just what Zoe needed in her life even if she wasn't looking for it. Quinn's protectiveness over Zoe even though she is more than capable of handling herself. His determination when it comes to her!
I look forward to seeing where Ellie will take this series next!
Loved it! Quinn and Shaw and their quirky moments, with side of suspense, immediately drew me in and kept me engaged with the story. I loved seeing them both awaken to the possibility of having a positive relationship, and the intimate moments that come with it. Even though they both start out as loners, they gradually enjoy each others' presence and even start to crave it. I also loved getting to geel a connection to the characters, and how they are experiencing their story, and cannot wait to read more!
Shaw's journey as The Hacker was an incredible reading experience. Her story is tumultuous and intriguing. The scenario that led her to meeting Quinn and all that transpired between the two of them will take your breath away. I was wrought with tears and heartache, sighs of bliss and big happy smiles at times while reading their book.
