Colonel (Retired) Donald James Goodspeed was a Canadian military officer, historian and academic. At his death he was Professor Emeritus at Brock University (St. Catherines, Ontario). Professor Goodspeed also wrote mystery/detective fiction under the name Dougal McLeish.
