Henri Cartier-Bresson was a French photographer considered to be the father of modern photojournalism, an early adopter of 35 mm format, and the master of candid photography. He helped develop the "street photography" or "real life reportage" style that has influenced generations of photographers that followed.
Nice Introduction is interesting but hard to relate to content. Would be better if description accompanied pictures rather than being tabulated at end of book.
Cartier-Bresson is one of my favorite photographers. I look at this book often. His great feeling for humanity is evident in the black and white images. I wish I had his compassion when I take a photograph.
