Once a criminally covert operation for trafficking dinosaurs to the present, the reformed company now fights a seemingly futile battle to keep dinosaurs safe and out of the public eye.
High school grads, Kamren and Vivienne, are navigating their new relationship status while on a cross country vacation.
Until a dodo bird waddles into their lives.
Being thrust back into the world of prehistoric creatures and those who use them for nefarious purposes causes a rift between the teens.
What will it take for Kam and Viv to save the dinosaurs…and themselves?
Hey hey! Derek Borne here, and I'm a Canadian author of Sci-Fi novels. When I'm not writing, I spend time with my lovely wife and moody bearded dragon Ziggy (She's always looking at me like I'm an idiot). Other times, I'm eating pizza, belting out Broadway showtunes, playing guitar, eating pizza, watching anything to do with Marvel superheroes, and making movie references daily. Oh, and eating pizza.
4.5 stars (rounded up because I do what I want AGAIN 😈) - These books are so good. I loved the first book slightly more, but I still really liked this a lot!! What's not to love about the little, quirky, side-kick friend that we met in this one!?
Again with this installment, the writing here is great, descriptive and really draws you into the story. There were some twists I wasn't expecting at all in this, too! The humor here is also top-notch. Several parts had me dying laughing (the ring part specifically iykyk). 🤣 The amount of pop culture humor also just makes the story so enjoyable and fun to read.
The antagonist was also very believable, and the author makes you feel for them at certain points which is a sign of great writing (in my opinion). To know the backstory of a character gives you insight into how they became how they are and why they choose to act in a certain manner.
The conclusion of Kam and Viv's story was just how I wanted it to end, honestly. I had the feels a little bit too. I am so glad I was introduced to this author and this world of "prehistoric proportions"! ❤️
Let me tell yall a little something about this book. It was fantastic! It was such a good tie in to the first book. Cheesy teenage romance with Dinosaurs? Or should I say Phrodo the Dodo. 🤣 The pop culture, music, and general modern references were hilarious. I was simply reeling. Derek's writing style is unique. It's a great book for people of all ages. Would definitely recommend to children ages 8 and up for a fun family read. But it has humour and a storyline that captivates even us older generation. It is a Dino-mite good time.
What an absolutely great continuation of the story. I'm still in love with all the characters and got to meet new ones. Of course the Dino shenanigans was the absolute best. Love this story so much !!
Another fantastic book by Derek Borne. I am in love with the series I am reading. The characters are amazing and he keeps you on your toes at all times. If you are a person who loves nostalgia, this whole series has plenty of it. Go immediately and get the complete Dino-Rift series
Ok, this was so amazing, I don't even know where to begin. The first book was so awesome so my expectations were set high for this one, and I surely was not disappointed. It exceeded my expectations and was an incredible and delightful read. Tie up a fantastic story with incredible characters, an intriguing plot, some humour and a wonderful writing style and we have this masterpiece. To be totally honest, I read this when I was going through some tough times and it really helped me get through. Definitely worth a read!
Kameron and Vivienne have to stop Blake from selling prehistoric animals. They meet Phrodo the Dodo who befriends them and Sebastian to save these animals. This was a book about dinosaurs that was a delight to read.
A year has passed since the enthralling yet nightmare-inducing days of the Rift. Vivienne and Kamren have graduated from high school and are looking forward to a dino-free future.
Or, are they?
A couples road trip over the summer before heading to college, best laid plans, and proposals are soon thwarted by the revelation that Viv hasn't been holding it together quite as well as Kam thought, and a curious, but adorable, Dodo bird.
Who does not belong in present day.
Most folks would find a way to convince themselves they hadn't seen what they had. That there was some plausible explanation. Viv and Kam know better, however. And whether they like it or not, they are once again involved in the thrilling yet dangerous underworld of time rifts and corporate espionage.
What follows is an edge-of-your seat page-turner of a ride, including a few new prehistoric friends.
"Hold onto your butts" for all the quirky and fun music and entertainment references, awesome dino-drawings, and of course, the perfect Hollywood Ever After.
While this can can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend you start with the first book of the duet, Dino-Rift (ONLY 99c! at the time of of this review). Not only is it a fantastic rea, but it really does set the stage for SauraCorps.
Don’t read This book! It has dinosaurs! And time travel! Just like the previous one, but even more! It also has a dodo with a completely original name of Phrodo…
But you should definitely avoid reading it by any means necessary. Just like the previous Dino Rift, the characters are so likable that you prefer to them as your friends…
Derek Borne’s humor is still present, just like in the previous part and his Ultimate Agent series. But the plot is getting more and more intense. You’ll keep reading This instead of worrying about lifes problems and who else is going to complain than you???
If you keep on reading This you could start thinking that there are things to enjoy! You might even give a laugh or two. The chapters are way too easy to read. Instead of proving his high academic skills Derek Borne uses simple and fun writing style that’s easy to grasp. Definitely not For intellect such as myself!
In fact I think Derek Borne has a conspiracy: He intends you to read his books, so you’ll enjoy life! But life is not meant to be enjoyed! It’s meant to be hard and serious!
Avoid at all costs!! Also don’t forget: It has dinosaurs!
"It's like I'm in a story where the author hates me." Couldn't have said it better kid!
I got an ARC copy from the author which I instantly gobbled up, while I was supposed to be working on my own project.
Kam and Viv have moved on from their hair-raising adventure of Dino Rift. They're happily off on a vacay to relax and recover from the trauma their author has put them through. Luckily, Derek Borne has other ideas ...
Corporate greed and dinos return in this fast paced, action packed sequel to Dino Rift. The pop references and humour continue. Along with the super-duper helpful diagrams of the dinos and creatures.
The prehistoric creatures of course are their own characters. Where Dino rift had Nundy the crocodile ninja dog we have Phrodo (with a PH - very important), Millie and Bertha.
Dialogue is engaging (ie entertaining) and while you are chuckling out loud the plot moves forward.
If you want a dino book that is well written you can't go past Derek Borne.
Oh wow! just when I was so in love with Dino rift, along comes SauraCorps: Salvation . What a fun rom-com with a mix of dinosaurs!! I think all the humor is exactly what my soul needed and the POV of the characters is really good. Lol I just love dinosaurs. I really enjoyed reading the story and meeting the new dinosaurs, they just come to life for me. I mean come on Phrodo the Dodo! Lol.
I think this was a great wrap up for Viv and Cam. As so many others have stated, this would make an awesome movie although I I would love a show with series! Come on Netflix!!! Its family friendly, fun and an excellent read.

I was a Nervous Rex waiting for the sequel to DinoRift and Derek Borne does not disappoint! This sequel returns us to Kam and Viv's run ins with SauraCorps and the fun filled (and not so) dinosaur escapades. Also the thrill of what happens when power gets into the wrong hands! SauraCorps:Salvation is full of adventures , laughs, gasps and lots of witty references. If you love dinosaur and time travel this is definitely the book for you! And even if you aren't yet I swear after reading DinoRift and SauraCorps:Salavation you'll become a fan! Truly this series is Dinoriffic!!!!!!!!!!
Okay Dino Rift was great but Saura Corps?? Beyond Epic. I loved Phrodo the dodo and wish I could get a plushie of him. The entire story was awesome and a fabulous page turner. I did not want to put this book down. Definitely a must read…
And I do hope the series does continue. You have to read the end to understand… b/c that’s what knocks this story into outer space.
My eleven year old brother received an ARC, and this is his review:
I loved this sequel because it’s just as interesting as the first one and includes more characters, creatures, and a lot more suspense! Plus, it’s hilarious! I really appreciated getting this ARC.
An epic seqaul to Dino-rift! Derek Borne Has put his heart and soul into the continuation of Viv's and Kam's story. With many more prehistoric creatures, this author takes you on a epic journey! I highly recommend!
I had the honor of beta and then ARC reading this gem, and Dino Derek has outdone himself!
It's rare these days to read books written in the head jumping, third-person omnipresent narration, and it's generally considered a bad idea, BUT rules are meant to be broken. SauraCorps: Salvation (and Dino Rift) would not be the same, or as charming, if we only got one or two character's POV.
Sebastian Sharpe continues to be my favorite. He stole the book away from the kids in Dino Rift, and I am not upset. Morally grey and part of a beautiful redemption arc, he feels so realistic it would not be shocking to find him in our world someday. SauraCorps gives us another man willing to do anything for family. Too many villains in YA are dumbed down, not delving into what makes them choose wrong, and that in their minds, they are in the right.
While Borne relies heavily on humor (and we read him for it), his writing is also emotionally intelligent. It's so refreshing to see young characters looking after each other's feelings and being able to express their own openly and honestly. The completion of Viv and Kam's story arc was sweet, honest, and reminded a bitter heart what young love feels like: everything.
Without spoiling anything: Time should not be tampered with, and the consequences of that terrible idea are explored here.
Also there was a wooly mammoth and Titanoboa. Win. WIN.
SauraCorps Salvation. What an amazing sequel to Dino Rift. Kam and Viv are thrown back into the thick of it when a most curious bird crosses their path. I love the realness of the emotions felt by the characters as we see how past events have affected Viv and Kam both. As they move forward into the unknown with the new villain Blake we see their relationship under pressure and how they deal with it. I also really love Seb in this. He was a great villain in book one, but doesn't top Blake-he's one of those villains whose reached the point of no return. I try not to give away any spoilers so I'll finish this reveiw out with sharing my new favorite animal character: Bertha. She is the MVP y'all. This is a solid sequel that answered so many questions that I had lingering from book one and I love that ending. Derek has also written strong female characters with Viv being my absolute favorite. This book made me laugh, it made me cry. A MUST read if you ask five stars.
SauraCorps: Salvation is such an amazing sequel to Dino Rift. One of my favorite things about these books is the fact that the whole family can read them. You have a 10 year old? Good book. You are 18? Good book. You are 46? Good book.
With this book Kam and Viv are trying to move past the last years trauma, but as fate would have it they get sucked back in again. The side characters in this book are fantastic too. The musical references are awesome, and i found myself humming to the tunes too.
I don't ever post spoliers in my reviews because I want people to read and be surprised by what happens. What I can tell you is that reading this series is not something you will regret. They are packed with adventure, angst, love, funny quips and at the end of the day wholesome.
Derek Bourne is Canada's hidden gem, I am positive of that. And I'll fight you about it. Go read his books. All of them.
“My God… What the heck’s in there?” “All this time, you’ve been paid enough to not ask those questions, Gary.“
And so we return with a bang… Or perhaps more accurately a “RAAAAAAWR!” to the wonderful world of time travel and dinosaurs in the truly awesome sequel to DinoRift, SauraCorps: Salvation.
I am so elated to get back to this prehistoric journey with one of my favorite dynamic duos: Kamren Eckhardt and Vivienne Lancaster. These two crazy kids had an epic adventure and now they are just trying to de-stress and enjoy their first cross country road trip together. It’s time to crank up the tunes and maybe make out a little *wink* So basically things don’t go as planned when this duo becomes a trio with the addition of a random, wandering dodo bird.
I really loved how the author wrapped up this duology, yet continued the world building. We explored so much more about the protagonists as people and their separate, distinct reactions to the previous adventure (or nightmare in Viv’s case). The very obvious, but normal communication and lack of communication between the protagonists as a couple was super relatable. Being part of their growth and discovery, as the reader, was so immersive and fun. I don’t do spoilers, but I really want to! SauraCorps: Salvation was a page turner, high stakes, RomCom-Adventure with all the feels! 100% Recommend!
You know, I loved Dino Rift; and this book is just as amazing!
This sequel doesn’t start off where the first book ended. Kamren and Vivienne have graduated since then and decided to go on a road trip.
Everything is going according to plan untill they reach Chicago…
More dinosaurs, action, excitement & of course an evil villain… what more could we ask for?!?
I loved reading about Kam and Viv’s relationship and the trouble they find themselves in (again). Maybe I’m a tiny bit jealous of their adventures? Definitely jealous if I’m being honest!
I really enjoyed both books and love the way the author uses references to music, movies and such. Cracked me up every now and then.
So… if you enjoy dinosaur adventures? With a nice love story on the side? Please check out Dino Rift and this sequel, SauraCorps: Salvation. You’ll love it!
An epic conclusion to Kam and Viv’s experiences with prehistoric creatures and time rifts. The sequel’s stakes are even higher and emotions are strong. Derek Borne does a fantastic job of portraying the NA couple and their reactions to their situation. I definitely recommend reading both books in this series. Now, who do we need to petition to get this on either the big screen or the small screen? A series with young love, prehistoric creatures (from a dodo to dinosaurs), and time rifts, you have cinematic gold!
This story is book two to the Dino-Rift series and the author didn't disappoint. I was lucky enough to get this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review and it was fantastic. I wondered how the story would continue but no fear. Viv and Kamren think the rifts are in the past but something new is happening. This book is as action packed and filled with dinosaurs just as the first book so reading it was fast moving. The story line was great, and it was nice to see some of the characters from book one brought in. This book was fantastic and recommend it as the perfect reading for my 14 year olds.
Perfection. This is actual perfection. I can’t say enough good things about this book. I was taken back into the world of Kam and Viv and loved how real their relationship was. The second book is just as enjoyable as the first with an intriguing new villain and a believable new problem that’s hard to manage in some sequels. But this was done so well!!! Also that ending!! I should’ve seen it coming honestly but I just LOVED THAT!!!! Phrodo lives in my head rent free. The names, the references, the quips; it was just SO enjoyable and still hit me in the feels. 6/5 stars for the whole series.
It may look and sound like just a good time traveling story but there's so much more. The characters have been changed by the events in the first book. While the world moves on mostly ignorant of those events these characters have to cope with the experiences while facing new challenges. It's a love story in many ways but it never loses that fresh fun exciting feel of discovery for the reader. Considering this is a sequel that's not exactly easy to do but the author managed it beautifully!
Thank you to Derek Borne for allowing me the opportunity to read this book early in exchange for an honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The pop culture references provided perfect comedic value, and I found myself laughing often. I also really enjoyed the illustrations, like in the first book. I didn’t expect the ending to be so emotional, but also very sweet. I’m glad Kam and Viv have a happy ending. This is a wonderful series!
