Jesse Haynes writes fiction and non-fiction, selectively, depending on how many bills he needs to pay. He lives in Tulsa, OK and his content marketing work has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Marketwatch, Inc., and more. Haynes got his MBA from The University of Tulsa, but the only time he uses it is when he throws buzz words like "return on investment" into his young adult novels.
Jesse enjoys playing basketball, staying active with his church, and hanging with his family, He has a dog named Biggs, too, who's the best dog in the world and you can't change his mind.
The Ninja Games: The Warrior Within by Jesse Haynes and Lance Pekus tells the story of Greyson McEntire who considers himself to be a nobody. Despite being a decorated rock climber and scholar in the classroom, the majority of his high school peers have never heard of him. Even his mother can't get away from her work long enough to care! Greyson would be alone if it weren't for his best friend, Colter. But everything changes when Greyson and Colter each receive an enigmatic invitation from the National Interdisciplinary Notable Juveniles Association to a summer program that promises to change their lives. So, the pals embark on an adventure with the N.I.N.J.A.'s. A greater truth emerges, however, as they make new acquaintances, learn about secret history, and undergo obstacle course training. The N.I.N.J.A. organization is not just attempting to educate tomorrow's leaders... It is attempting to protect the world from a dark, sinister force… This well-written narrative is highly recommended for the younger reader and gets a well-deserved five stars from me.
The Ninja Games: The Warrior Within, written by Jesse Haynes, was an enjoyable read. I have always fancied reading Young Adult books as it always gives a refreshing feel. Although this book was a work of fiction, I can't deny how it felt so real to me because the storyline has so much depth into it. The theme and the concept was unique where the characters are involved with an organization called NINJA is something notable. I also easily warmed up to the characters, especially to the main protagonist Greyson McEntire. His character developed remarkably as the chapters went by. I greatly admire how he evolved into a more responsible person. The dialogues between the characters were also entertaining. All in all, a great Young Adult read.
