Adorable characters and super sweet story
Absolutely adorable story about two loveable characters. I adore Fred and Mavis and their friendship. Great message and so many cool elements like the dyslexic font, hidden pictures and discussion questions at the end. Amazing debut book for a new author! Great work!

This book is beautifully illustrated with light pastels which are fitting for the story set along the coast. I loved the story about two unlikely creatures becoming friends and learning to trust and rely on one another. Such a great message for kids. I also appreciate the beautifully illustrated end sheets as they add to the quality of the book.

Absolutely Adorable
This is such a sweet story that teaches many lessons for your kiddos. The illustrations bring everything to life, and are beautiful. It was nice to have the discussion questions at the end of the book. My son really enjoyed that.

A lovely read with nautical flair
The characters engage both in picture and story. The style of illustration clearly captures the beach vibes. Fred and Mavis will definitely be returning to my bookshelf in their other adventures!
